Quote# 777

Witnessing to Mormons is extremely difficult. I've had many opportunities online (on another message board), as well as a few opportunities face-to-face, and in all cases I've found Mormons to be extremely nice people who are wearing spiritual blinders. The cult of Mormonism is so ingrained in their thinking that the mere mention that they worship a different Jesus, different God, and that their religion is, at best, very loosely based on the Bible, just brings blank stares (in person), or quick changes of the subject (online). Mormon apologists also tend to be militant and sometimes downright sneaky in the way they present their beliefs -- everything is wrapped in scripture, but beneath the scripture is nothing but the Book of Mormon and the words of Mormon "prophets".

[On being told that the Golden Plates of Mormonism had more witnesses than the Resurrection of Jesus]

Suppose that [Joseph] Smith and the others did have a vision. Isn't Satan capable of deception? Though there were those testified to the vision and/or seeing the plates . . . if their witness disagrees with the Bible - I can not accept thier testimony as valid regardless of their sincerity.

[On Mormonism]

i saw this movie last night and realized the connection and parallel it makes here. the whole gist of the movie is a computer generated actress that everyone has seen, talked to, heard of, but she didn't exist.

i am not asserting this as a substantial argument, it was a movie, but it is amazing that people can be pursuaded to believe in something when in fact it never existed.

Quote# 815

When it comes to issues concerning women and the church, we have to obey the standards and precepts God sets before us, whether it fits with the worldly opinion or not. Currently the world believes that men and women are "the same," and should not have separate roles or positions. They believe in fantasy things like 50/50 marriages, egaliterianism (spelled correctly?), and so forth.

However, God sets forth a different standard. We are to recognize and celebrate the differences that God has created in us by separating us into men and women. We are to recognize our gender-based roles, and to willingly (and not grudgingly) pursue our roles with ambition and godly desire."

"And for those godly women out there who are truly pursuing Christ but feel confused or even hurt by these teachings, there is great comfort in knowing that if you trust in God, He will send a man your way that will not make submission an issue for you. You'll gladly recognize your husband's authority and rest safely in his loving protection and leadership

Technically, evolution is not a theory. There are a couple religions that can come from evolution though.

Liberal Christianity
Agnosticism - Not knowing if God exists
Gnosticism - Believes that God does not exist
Wicca - Not really from evolution, but Wiccans believe in it

haven't you heard the latest scientific theory? A lot of the scientists are now thinking that the big bang theory was just a theory. And that the universe just always existed. They are beginning to rethink it because there are too many "holes" (black holes and the red shift) that can't be answered with the big bang theory. Have to keep up with this stuff you know. Sooner or later, they will discover the truth. And their worst fear is that the Bible is right.

If there is no God, we don't have to follow His rules on sex, selfishness, pride, ambition, greed, servanthood. We can put ourselves and our desires first. We can go into the world and sneak, lie, cheat and do whatever it takes to get ahead. And have nothing and noone to answer for or too.

Nuclear weapons, like all weapons, are morally neutral. The person employing them chooses to do either good or evil with them.
Using the example that you cited in which a western city is destroyed (and countless innocent lives lost)-that would be evil.
However, let's say that a western city has already been attacked and thousands of people killed by Islamic extremists flying aircraft into buildings. Under those circumstances, vaporizing each and every nation that was involved would be good! VERY GOOD!!!

Nowhere did I state that EVERY Japanese person was barbaric and cruel. I said this about their culture as a generalization because they do not engage in warfare by any known standard of decency. If you were to study the FACTS about Japanese history, you would know that until the terms of their surrender stripped them of any and all military power, they had a history of absolute barbarism from the inception of their history. They slaughtered each other in feudal wars, butchered and enslaved the people of Okinawa, attacked Russia , and committed unspeakable atrocities in China, the Solomons, and The Phillipines to name only a few."

"The point that seems lost on you is that to the Japanese mind, there were no civillians."

"Since your grasp of unrevised history is so weak, I'll share something else with you that your Marxist professors probably did not: The Japanese had operational jet aircraft, biological weapons and were only a few weeks or months away from an operational nuclear weapon. Had we not nuked them, it is HIGHLY likely that they would have hit the west coast of the US with a bio or nuclear strike."

"I apologize to none for my remarks.
Since you proudly proclaim your leftist tendencies, why don't you read up on your Lennin , Marx, and Engles? People that betray their own in order to assist the Left are referred to as "Useful Idiots" and are to be disposed of when they have outlived their usefulness. It is my sincere prayer (both for you and my country) that you and all those like you wake up before it is too late.

For example, Mormonism teaches things such as baptism of the dead, that Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers, that man can one day achieve godhood, that God has a body of flesh and bones, and that there is no salvation outside of the Mormon church. These are not only serious doctrinal aberrations, but they are so far out of line with what the Bible says, that Mormonism becomes not a Christian denomination, but a cult.

Regarding the human imperfection, I can see how that would make sense, since it was written by a human, however the only other God-inspired document in the history of the world is proved to be 99.99% accurate, or so I have read through research and obviously believe by faith. I am obviously speaking of the Bible.

[On the credibility of Mormon miracle eyewitnesses] two men could say they went fishing and caught a 20 pound fish and that they ate it. When in fact, they may not have caught a fish at all. Just because these two men give testimony to these events does not make it truth. I know what we are talking about is of more significance than fishing, but the principle and philosophy still apply.

[When Jerry Falwell remarked that Mohammed was a terrorist, resulting in a riot]

i watched rev. falwell on 60 minutes, and had the opportunity to meet him and him he speak last week. after meeting him in person, seeing his heart, and listening to the interview, i can't help but agree with what he said. muhammad was a man of war and was willing to use violence to move his religion around the world.

the muslim community can get mad about what he said and call him names, but the reason most americans aren't responding in a voice of opposition against the reverend falwell is that they agree with him and his conclusions.

I agree with Falwell 1000%
Islam is a religon of terror, at least in islam ruled countries.

1) Fear of not making it into heaven; Follow these rules and _maybe_ you can enter paradice.

2) Fear of freedom of choice;

A. If you are a muslim you can't convert to anything else, under penalty of death.

B. People who are already another faith can't evangelize muslims. But they are supposed to be given "freedom" to worship by themselves. (but they can't grow because they deny any building permits.)

3) Fear of freedom of speech. You can't speak against islam and it's prophet. or they will stone you, burn your house, kill your family, and burn your church!

I'd better stop now, just thinking about this wicked religion that has decieved so many is making me mad.
