Quote# 6517

No one is saying that people should not go to doctors or seek medical treatment. That is not the issue. It is sad that you do not understand the most simple and basic of christian teaching. I am amazed that I run into doctors and Phd's that do not even have a third grade level of understanding of the Bible.

Quote# 6518

[Replying to 'So which diseases does sin cause?']That would be part two, and we would need to go back into the teaching of Moses. But one thing that would be covered by Moses, is any disease that could be found in Egypt at that time. Ex 15:26... 'If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God... I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.' My sister told me about a book written by a medical doctor called something like: 'none of these diseases'. He talks about Moses and a Bible approach to staying healthy.

Actually, that was one of the most annointed Bible studies that I have done sense a teaching I did at Bible college. I prayed for two or three hours before I put that together. If more people understood what Paul was saying in that passage, there would be a lot less sickess for doctors to have to deal with. They tell me that One Drop of the Divine Blood of Jesus is all that it would take to cure all of the sickness in this world.

[Replying to 'So viruses and bacteria don't cause sickness?']Not if they can not find a host to cause sickness in. Now I have a question. Why do doctors and nurses seldom get sick, even though they are around sick people all day?

Quote# 6522

There are a few studies that come to mind. One had to do with high blood preassure. There was no preferance for Christians over other religions, but in general, they more someone attended church, the more they read their Bible and prayed, the lower their blood preasure was... But the results [of another study] showed that selfish people have more health problems and they die sooner than people who do what they can to help others. In general the studies have found that calling yourself a christian does not seem to make any difference. But doing things that would be considered christian, does seem to make a difference.

Quote# 6523

It is correct to say that there are living cells in an arm, but not correct to say that the arm is alive - there is a BIG difference. And an arm is much different than a fetus. For one, a fetus is alive and an arm isn't... You can kill a living fetus because it lives; you cannot kill an arm, because arm's aren't alive.

Why must creationism be excluded? It seems to be the most time-tested, logical theory of our origin that has ever existed.

I'm guessing you might be referring back to Darwins theory about humans evolving from ape. Ok How could this be true? If it happened over a long period of time how could it not die or sumthin? Reasons or questions:1.Another thing why is their apes still around? 2.Why didn't all of them evolve? 3.Did me and you evolve from apes? No! 4.Why do sum woman have children if they are just waiting for more people to evolve? 5. If you were mid-man mid-ape what would happen to your eyes and other organs? 6.If you were evolving from ape what would you eat? 7.How would you survive? 8.If your were mid-man mid-ape how would you reproduce? 9.If you were evloving how would man learin language? 10. If apes had a certain lifespan and humans have a certain lifespan How long would it take before they died before completely evolving? 11. There are many different kinds of people today (Chinese,African American,Filipino,Laocian etc.) How did these skin colors and such come to be if we evolved? 12. How would we have different skin colors and eye colors and hair colors if we evolved? 13. Who would we evolve form apes? Why not elephants or some other animal? 14. How come humans aren't evolving still today? 15.Did apes all over evolve? In different countries?

this is what u said right? OK first off about the beating children thing. God has rules. Some parents have rules. As long as its not child abuse ,it may be to discipline (if I spelled that word right?)them... What wrong with casting out demons? Demon possession is a very serious thing. The plucking out the eyes pleez tell me where in the Bible you got this from... in the Middle east if you steal sumthin (or the way they used to do it or sumthin I'm not sure) that watever hand you stole it with would have to be cut off or sumthin. Doing that might teach you not to steal again. i don't know If I exactly agree with it but I might be guessing if sumone got their hand cut off from stealing sumthin I'm guessing they probably wouldn't steal again.

Quote# 6527

I don't get is - are you trying to say Christianity is a cult? Or founded on one?LOL !!! Cults occur when Satan realises, that no matter what he does, that people want to follow God, and don't want to knowingly follow him. He manipulates potential leaders, and sometimes the members don't realise that they are following Satan. Freemasonry for example...How can people be so stupid? Well, there has to be a kind of supernatural power to get people to pay attention... Often, Satan will make his pawns very persuasive, or often when these people see something happen they will believe that their human leaders really are of God. Simply more lies from Satan, he can make anything appear however he wants it to, especially if it means bringing people from God...Jesus could not be deemed evil. He also can't be deemed a fake, because I doubt people would have bothered following him if they didn't see sufficient evidence he really was the Son of God... It may all seem very made up.. but check out my demons thread for my reasons for believing that there is so much more out there than we can actually see.

Quote# 6528

Demons.. are they real?... I'd really love to hear from Atheists on this one, and also get some help from brothers and sisters who can help back me up. I wanted to start this thread because to me, the presence of demons is one of the most obvious proofs to show that Christianity is no lie...I have an evangelist friend... God gave him the power to cast out demons, which he did whenever he could, and he has so many amazing stories about people he came across. Some were healed.. some were converted from Satanism... my friend and another woman had a prayer meeting, and out of the blue, a really low man's voice started coming out of my friend's stomach... Our evangelist friend talked to this thing, binded it in the name of Jesus, and asked it it's name. It said 'fear', and as the other woman present got freaked out they couldn't get it to leave...As I am sure my friend isn't lying, and there are thousands of these stories happen every day, we can assume people at least see and hear these things. But is it really a mass delusion? Was Jesus having delusions too? After all, if he had failed to do miracles then I doubt so many would have followed him... In a world of logic, what is the explanation for these illogical things?

I'm personally convinced the Demon's main stronghold on Earth is in California somewhere, maybe near Berkley or Hollywood/LA. They seem to have combined the Gay Plot and the Political Correctness Plot here.

Quote# 6530

Surely Atheists themselves are proof of demons, after all, there is no other human belief that does no harm to others that is attacked so intensely or with so much gusto. If you weren't simply trying to convince yourself rather than me, not only would you not be here, but you would just leave people to their own beliefs. Surely crazy people aren't worth wasting your time on, especially when there are 1 billion of them?

On a social basis, I can think of a way that they are opposing doctrines. Christianity preaches a message of love and selflessness.. Homosexuality is all about preaching hate and selfishness to the opposition, using every technique available to them to silence the critics.

I'm not going to offer my opinion on the actual interracial marriage, although they were forbidden in the Bible. What I will say is will somebody PLEEEEAASE think of the children. haha. No. It's true. All kidding aside. Nobody bothers to think of them. They don't fit in anywhere and are thus segregated from their peers. They aren't black and they aren't white. Although they might be able to fit in on some superficial level, they don't have anything to call their own and it just isn't fair to them.

Quote# 6533

Please don't use homophobe. It demonstrates ignorance and hatemongering, and the last thing we need is more of that. I can understand why some people would be against both [interracial and gay marriage]. Both are against what the Bible preaches. As for me, I have no opinion on the actual interracial marriage. I remain neutral. miscegenation is not a clear abomination as homosexuality is. Nor is it an evolutionary dead-end like homosexuality. It just might be a bit selfish because no consideration is given to the child(ren), however.

I don't think interracial marriage is sinful per se. However, I think in most cases it is probably unwise and shouldn't be encouraged. And those who oppose it shouldn't automatically be denounced as 'hateful racists', because in many cases they aren't.

Quote# 6536

It makes a difference because of cultural cohesion and the definition of nationhood. I think biblically speaking, it's pretty clear that racial segregation (not animosity) was begun and used by God, represents the natural 'order', if you will, and is a pretty positive thing overall. That said, I'm not condemning anyone who chooses to miscegenate. Again, I'm just concerned about the vilification of those who --for biblically and philosophically sound reasons--oppose it.

I hate the way they stick their fingers into my paycheck and force me to pay for some FAILED SOCIAL PROGRAM. I hate their unrelenting celebration of sodomy in the midst of an AIDS epidemic. The left hates the American flagThey hate your ChristianityThey hate your synagoguesThe leftist Democrats will trample on your children's minds.Be prepared for the LYING scare tactics and bullying mafia schemes of the LEFT to surface very shortly, against President BUSH.
