Quote# 7455

Well, lust was the only thing I was talking about. And it was in response to a statement regarding lust. I should've clarified: I am talking about the desires of the human nature shown to be evil, like lust. Which some people don't choose to agree are evil. Why? Because they serve the devil.

Quote# 7454

Yes, Lust is evil inside marriage. Lust is evil. And no, I am not saying just because something is natural it is evil, but you are suggesting that just because something is natural it is NOT evil, and I am ripping your idea into pieces because that idea deserves to burn forever. Married couples do not lust after one another they love.

And the light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not. ~John 1:5~ Alright, look, yes by living they [women] cause men to lust, but they ADD TO THE CAUSE by wearing bikinis. Therefore it is wrong.

It causes fellow Christians to lust. Thus, by wearing a bikini, you are tempting a man to sin, thus it is wrong.

Quote# 7449

If you are a Christian woman, there should be some degree of modesty, the same as if you are a Christian man. You would not want to cause another to stumble. What if you are a Christian woman, you're proud of your body, and wear a skimpy bikini to the beach. And a young Christian (young as in he just came to Christ) sees you and goes home and masterbates, thinking about you in that skimpy bikini. Have you caused him to sin? Perhaps you did not participate directly in his sin, i.e. you were not there actually having intercourse with him. But the picture in his mind is of you in that bikini. And as a result of his self sexual gratification he stumbles and loses his faith because he thought God had delivered him from his sin, now he feels shame, remorse, guilt, and he feels like a pervert. So he leaves the church. How can he go to the same church with you after what he has done?

Quote# 7448

Stop justifying your way of clothing yourself to the beach with today's sports, culture, location and blah, blah, blah. Again and again God does not make exceptions and the word of God does not contradicts it self. We all can see how guilty this subject is making you. Jesus can still forgive you for not thinking about others that may have lusted because of you. When you are at your judgement day and you are asked why you provoke others to lust by what you wore, are you going to answer with?: Well the sport require me to wear it. A man made sport (culture) Excuses.

Quote# 7447

Was the person that invented those sports thinking about what pleases God? or Was the person that invented those outfits or uniform thinking of what pleases God? No! They were thinking about style, fashion and comfort. Sports or water sports can be played with different clothing, maybe not as comfortable but still possible, but again they are not thinking about people lusting, or holyness or God. They more thinking about winning and comfort. What's first? Salvation or Winning the game or even playing the game. If the sports requires you to wear bathing suits kind of clothing or anything that shows too much skin making it provocative don't play it. Yes I said DON"T PLAY IT!!! All you have given me are excuses to justify the outfits. The word of God doesn't contradicts itself or make exception about this. You have a hard time accepting it because you have lived thinking like this for a while, but if you really want to follow Christ, follow Him all the way and not half way. I answer you a few post back (the ones that matters) but you are the one not reading them. I live in Puerto Rico and we have all the water sports you have @ the main land (P.R. U.S. Territory) We are not some third world country were we don't have water sports, but to me doesn't make a difference if I live close to the beach to understand your point. You asked: Should gymnasts wear spacesuits? You really sound smart asking this...sad.Man made sports = culture doesn't justify wearing whatever you want. Please stop making excuses. Please find me in the Bible were it says is ok to show lots of skin. Where does God make the exception ? You have indeed shamed yourself.

The North American culture is full of pornography and look at the divorce rate and STD problems. I couldn't imagine a culture were teen boys and men could walk past topless or naked women and say 'that is normal' 'no big deal' or not think anything of it at all.

you can argue with Brave or you can argue with the Bible and what it says.it says for us women to be modest in our outfits-period. it doesnt say what outfit to wear ,just be modest. Is it so hard for some of yall to figure that out? Maybe some of you dont WANT the truth-thats why you are getting all hot and bothered about it.... my 13 yr. old son has more sense than some of you. He said why would a lady walk around on the beach with her butt hanging out? he said it looks ridiculous. Now what do some of you say to that - kids some times get it before the grown ups- that says a lot. Dont defend sin and call your self a Christian.

Quote# 7444

Don't feel to bad, there are still decent respectable people out there. In Ontario some women wanted to go topless everywhere and the decent people went against it and it wasn't allowed except on some beaches.... All the men I talked to said that the women who wanted to go topless were the ones who should least be topless. Some people are just so totally selfish and devoid of morals.... When my wife goes to the beach or the public pool she wears a bathing suite with a skirt thing. My wife has large breasts and some men may stare at her for that reason but my wife has taken resposibility in dressing properly so if a man stares it truly is his problem and not my wifes.

Quote# 7443

Jesus encountered a ‘nudist’ [the Legion demoniac] during his travels. Before he cast the spirit out of the man, the man was naked. Funny how AFTER the spirits were cast out, verse 35 says that the man was ‘CLOTHED and in his right mind’. Maybe no one else will see the significance of this statement, but I sure do. There’s nothing modest about nudity or bikinis either. If it didn't happen yesterday, it could happen today. Look for it!

Beachwear? What a poor excuse. Did woman had beachwear back in the bible days? Bikinis? God ways does not change with culture and culture is made up of man's ideas. You are just another victim that was made believe thru culture that it is ok to barely cover your self. Are the man at the beach any different from the one's on the street? You provoke man to look at you in lustful ways and sin. The word of God talks about not making others sin.

Beach shorts for swimming for both male and females do exist. They are all over the internet surf shops. They are neither as pretty, comfortable or popular but who cares, we are christians and we don't follow culture or fashion but we follow Christ So STOP! putting more excuses and thinking of comfort , fashion, styles, colors and blah, blah, blah. God is a God of freedom, meaning he lets us make our own choices, but that does not mean all our choices please him because then this world would be perfect place. We must sacrifice some of our given freedom and obey God ways because that is what He wants us to do.

Quote# 7437

I know many 'Christian' females that dress certain way outside the church. (i.e. tight jeans, little open blouses, shorts that are too short , skirts that are very short...) Then they dress differently when they go to church service. They don't realize that they are been hypocrites. The same way you dress to church is the same way you should dress when you out of church. (yes, even if you wear an Astronaut suit to church)

Quote# 7436

[Read it and weep. Posters at the Christianity.com boards weigh in on the evil of women wearing bikinis.]This is a subject everyone is too afraid to talk about. But I think is wrong for christian woman to wear those bikini bathing suits. I think they invented them to attract more man to the beach and use it as an excuse to call it bathing suits and look at the women's body parts. Short beach pants would do just fine but some women prefer to be walking around on panties and bra.How can woman walk around while their vagina shape and size is been shown to everyone at the beach. Sorry to be so graphic but I want you all to get my point. There is no difference between that and regular underwear. But hey, is ok if you are at the beach or pool blah ,blah blah, 'Hypocrites!' Why be tempted, I don't care how christian you are but if you see a woman wearing a bathing suit you look down at her vagina part and your mind starts rolling with sexual thoughs Matthew 5: 27"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.'[5] 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. God wants us to cover our body no matter where you at. If God wanted us to just barely cover our private parts then why he gave Adam and Eve animal skin to cover their bodies instead of leaves.... The location were you wear your clothing doesn't make it right and acceptable. Those type of clothing reveals your body shape with great detail. Follow this rule, Look at your self in the mirrow and ask your self: ' Would I wear this to go to church?' If your answer is no than don't wear it. Don't wear clothing that might tempt other man to lust. If is too tight or too short is unacceptable. Yes I speak mainly towards woman's clothing because: 1. Man's clothing (real man) is not tight or short 2. God didn't make our bodies sexually beautiful to look at.

I don't think the viewers of Fox news hold misperceptions about Iraq and Terrorism. I think that they are among the best informed viewers out there. It is the liberal media which sleeps on many of those stories because if they did followup on them, it would lend credence to the actions that Bush is taking.

Atheists are basically assumers, and have no clue. They are like mass produced robots. 'freethinkers' is their oxymoron name... Claiming that God doesn't exist, and providing no evidence for such a moronic claim is just laughable. Atheists are not freethinkers, or openminded, they lied through their teeth with that joke. They will reject God until death. They refuse to listen to evidence of what they don't like. Atheists hate 'religion', but, from an atheist veiwpoint, there is no reason to. Its all worthless, why even try to enjoy this life? Its all worthless anyway... All these things plus, the fallacys, logical inconsistencies, contradiction of reality, baseless assumtions, etc, of atheism just prove it to be the pile of crap that it is.

Quote# 7432

You're in the wrong territory to say that the burden of proof is on christians(me, us). You are making a claim that God doesn't exist when I have proof He does. You are making the claim to me, not vise versa... I could never convince you of the obvious existance of God, you aren't open to the idea. Now, post the evidence or proof of God not existing, or shut your moronic mouth. As for the reality hitting me, it hit a long time ago. The site [with ex-Christians posting] you gave me only showed me where morons hang out. I'm not going through confusion, but athesits are eternally twisted. No absolutes, no way, no path, no purpose, no meaning, no truth, no happiness, no love, no chance.

What I'm saying is that the supernatural(referring to all things supernatural) is a fact, and there are many people who beleive in the supernatural because they experiance it... you have no credibilty trying to show these supernatural thingfs false, becuase you have no experiances with the supernatural, you have never seen what others have, you aren't openminded to its existance(atheists are NOT 'freethinkers' they are bound in fantasy and their own comfort) and you have no ability to change reality or prove something that is real to not be real. You are a ***** who thinks he has authority to say what exists or does not exist. You are like the archie bunker of atheism. And you're bitter too.
