WILL ANYONE ACTUALLY READ WHAT I WROTE? Susan, where did you get the idea that I think men are justified in raping women? I was only saying that girls stupid enough to get drunk beyond comprehension and who can't even remember what happened the night before have no right to cry rape.

Quote# 50795

No. Homosexuals are a freak of human nature, not a product of evolution.

If you want to bring the Christian holy book into it, God is clearly against homosexuality. He destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah in part due to all the homosexuals running amok.

Of course, there was also lots of other deviant practices going on there including sex with animals, sex with inanimate objects such as cucumbers and watermelons, rampant liberalism, and the good old Christian grandmother of all sins - adultry. God wiped `em all out just to be on the safe side. Looks like He missed a few, though.

[Second submission from the same source. DRJ is debating a gay male teacher in comments under an article on how same-sex marriage affects children.]

Mike, I'm going to suggest that you are not a war veteran. If you were, you would understand that there is a term called collateral damage. This means that while the bombs were not "targeting" civilians in the area of a battlefield, there were civilian casualties. For that reason our commanders in the field are very careful not to bomb areas with heavy civilian populations...even if there are strategic enemy commanders in the areas. If they did bomb such areas in order to caqrry out the objective of killing or capturing an important enemy operative, they would be court-martialed for disobeying orders. Why? Because we value the lives of the innocent! The collateral damage your homosexual campaigning inflicts is detrimental to the well being of innocent children (all of which are straight until persuaded otherwise!). Though you are passionate in your struggle for acceptance in the eyes of this nation, you must understand that your open defiance of God's Word will only lead to damage on all fronts of your battles. It is a perfect lose-lose scenario. Each child whose mind you inflict with confusion and questioning of his/her own sexuality you will give an account to God for. The innocent are strictly OFF LIMITS for you. Unfortunately, the nature of your self-inflicted condition desensitizes your heart to the needs of others. I would say 'may God have mercy on those who knowingly cause suffering in the lives of children, but I kinow the Word of God that says, "it would be worse for them than putting a millstone around their neck and throwing them into the sea." For the sake of the next generation, please restrict the living out of your chosen lifestyle to private areas far from innocent eyes.

...in all sincerity I hope the Obama/Biden ticket never makes it to the white house. We need serious direction for our country right now and that will only come from John McCain. We need serious Godly values in the white house right now and I completely trust Sarah to provide that. I see John as a baby Christian who would really benefit from the strong faith Sarah has.

sorry folks.... you may like Reba but she is NOT a Christian. A real Christian knows that reincarnation is false. You all need to pray that she does finally find Christ. What she is experiencing is only an infatuation with Christ, not a true commitment. (unfortunately 90% of the folks out ther that call themselves are not for the same reason. Am I a biggot you ask, you bet! I only follow what the Hold Bible says in scripture. To you non Christians reading this out there, with the way things are today, you need to be on your knees and asking for God's forgiveness (thru Jesus). It takes more faith to believe in the "slime + time = U and me theory" than to take the easy way out (athiestic) and assume no accountability. Questions/comments? I'm ready!

Some patrons cheered his arrival while others looked on with curiosity and surprise. One woman yelled, “Socialist, Socialist, Socialist — get out of here.” Obama was across the room at the time and did not appear to hear Diane Fanning, 54, who was among several patrons who had just come by after services at the local Presbyterian church. She said she was annoyed that the Illinois senator had stopped in at the restaurant that she regularly visits.

Quote# 50936

Autism is, in the vast majority of cases, a fraud and a racket. It is a product of utterly misguided permissive parenting, which turns perfectly normal kids into dysfunctional antisocial brats. The problem is parents have been getting their advice from idiotic child-rearing books like Spock's, instead of the Holy Bible: spare the rod and spoil the child. Scientific research on genetic causes of autism is a colossal waste of time and money, whether or not it involves fruit flies in Paris or elsewhere.

it's evident that the bitter and violent tendancies almost all come from the left. You go on YouTube and watch political videos. Comments from pro-Obama people are often filled with horrible vulgarities and hatred, comments from conservative people for the most part are far less ugly.

Just have to look at the voter base of each party... Not hard to see.

Quote# 50662

That said, I believe that a homosexual can no longer get saved. They weren't born gay and God wanted them to get saved at some point. The reason they are that way is that they have pushed God too far and he has given up on them.

We also have an extended family member who is a homosexual. We had already distanced ourselves from that person before the news officially came out. We weren't surprised and still have no contact. I am sorry to hear that you are facing a similar situation. When someone seems questionable in that area, I would be polite in a group setting if necessary, but never leave my kids alone with that person for safety reasons. The person I am referring to has also abused children. When someone is a known pedophile or homosexual they should be completely cut off. I hope that answers your question.

Minutes ago I spoke with friend Dr. Norman G. Marvin, M.D. and he is so concerned at what he has learned about Barack Obama's family in Kenya that he is calling a special prayer meeting in his home to pray against the witchcraft curses attempted by them against John McCain and Sarah Palin.

IF YOU KNOW HOW TO DO SPIRITUAL WARFARE, PLEASE PRAY TODAY AND CONTINUALLY THAT ALL SUCH CURSES BE BROKEN AND SATAN'S PLAN FOR AMERICA BE DEFEATED, IN JESUS' NAME. PRAY AND COVER MCCAIN AND PALIN WITH THE BLOOD OF CHRIST. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO SPIRITUAL WARFARE, IT IS TIME YOU LEARN!!!

[Do some Christians truly believe that there is NO difference between gay marriage and child abuse?]

No it is both a sin. But homosexual acts is even a worse sin in the eyes of God, it is an abomination whereas child abuse is a normal sin. Although child abuse is horrific, it just shows you how bad God feels about homosexual acts.

Quote# 50672

1. There is a preacher and wife who are very, very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she is pregnant with her 15th. They are living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending abortion?

2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. They have 4 children. The first is blind, the second is dead. The third is deaf and the fourth has TB. The mother finds she is pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you recommend abortion?

3. A man raped a 13 year old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?

4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She is not married. Her fiancee is not the father of the baby, and he is very upset. Would you recommend an abortion?

If you have answered “yes” to any of these situations:

In the first case you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists of the 19th century.

In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven.

In the third case you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.

In the fourth case you would have recommended the murder of Jesus Christ.

With U. S. abortion deaths topping 30 million, only God knows what we have sacrificed in lost human talent and creativity.

Why does Obama oppose critical thinking about Darwin in science class?

Ideas have consequence, as Darwin's 200th birthday approaches we are reminded he wrote negatively about Irish, Blacks and Asians in The Oriigns of the Species and even ordered the capture of some Australian Aborigenes to be brought back to England for taxidermy purpose because after all they were subhuman in his estimateion as Barrack considers the fetus without human rights no matter how human it appears. Why slam the doors shut on the minds of students in public schools?

Quote# 50591

I'm afraid even the term Christian has been redefined. Was it about a year ago a Phew (Pueh,???? something close) poll of "Christians" found that only about 11% believed the bible is to be taken literally from cover to cover. So, only 11 in a 100 of us are what the world calls fundamentalist in our beliefs.

Most of us, I suspect, believe that if one does or has ever believed Jesus is the Son of God, died for our sins, was resurrected for our eternal life and if we have invited Him into our life then we are going on the first wave.

If not, there are going to be a lot of wide eyed, scared and soon to be suffering people left groping around for answers. I am so afraid that if they have heard the message and don't go in our wave the delusion will apply to them and they won't be joining us.

This just sends chills down my spine every time I contemplate it and what it truly translates to in terms of people I know and consider some type of friend or relative.
