I don't have anything red to wear, but before Tuesday the 4th, I will. And, I'll dress my wife in all red when we go to the poll's.

Good idea, since we're not allowed any campaign buttons. Maybe I'll put a red carnation on her blouse when I roll her in.

Quote# 51387

["Chesney" refers to country singer Kenny Chesney. Plugged In is a ministry of Focus on the Family that addresses "media discernment" for parents. All emphases are Meredith's.]

The first verse of "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven" finds Chesney rejecting his preacher's advice to "Quit the women and whiskey/And carrying on all night." A few moments later, Chesney's sticking bribes in the church's offering plate, hoping the pastor'll put in a good word for him ("There's one for everything I did last night/And one to get me through today/Here's a ten to help you remember/Next time you got the good Lord's ear"). Near the end of this less-than-righteous toe-tapper, Kenny says he's having too much fun down here to want to go to heaven right now—and he's pretty sure he speaks for the majority of us.

Then, "Ten With a Two" really sets out to shred the ideals Chesney says he grew up with. In this unhappy romp through beer goggles and sex with complete strangers, Chesney sings, "Last night I came in at 2 with a 10/But at 10 I woke up with a 2/I got 20/20 vision when I ain't drinking/But Lord when I do I lose/I ain't never gone to bed with an ugly woman/But I sure woke up with a few." In the album's liner notes, Kenny writes of the track, "I can't count the nights ... that I've lived this song. It's a guy's anthem ... it's not a classy song, but boys—and girls—we've all been there."

Have we really, Kenny? Because I come from a small town, too, and I know not everyone has been there.

And so we're back to the fact that fun is the reason so many seem to flock around this colossal country cowboy.

Fun—defined as him holding church and family in one hand while grasping a whiskey bottle in the other as he lyrically works his way through the 2s and the 10s of the world with no thought at all for who they might be beyond what they look like. That's not the kind of fun I was hoping to find as I listened to my first Kenny Chesney song in years. That's not the kind of fun that'll make me want to ever try him out again.

This looks to be America's last free election. Considering the economic and social situation of the U.S. at this time, from everything I've learned about Mr. Obama, and how his followers seem to passionately view him as their saviour, what is happening now in the U.S. reminds me alot of what was going in pre-war Germany. Life for Jews, Christians and any other freedom-loving person in the U.S. is about to become very very difficult.

I am glad she did not get the Democrat position. I have found out she is as liberal in her beliefs as OBAMA.

I do not believe a true christian can vote for a leader not following God's commandments.
It is an abomination unto God for what the Democrats stand for according to the bible.
I truly believe if we want the blessings of God on our land (listen atheist, believe or not God is real) We have to abide by God's moral laws.

This is also why you see Christian missionaries helping people like this. But name a group of evolutionists that is willing to feed and help those in Sudan? Can't find one can you? They cannot do this if they truly believe evolution. Because these people are dying because they are not the fittest, and therefore cannot be naturally selected to survive. When in actuality, they die because those who believe evolution are to afraid to help. Afraid of what their peers might say, and that they may be catagorized along with Christians for even caring about what is considered a lower race. You won't see a subject like this even come up anywhere where evolutionists are gathered. In fact I can list comments from their forums where they actually poke fun at Christians for even going to the trouble of trying to help anyone who suffers like this. They make fun of the money we raise to help these people in their troubling times. Because they believe that this money should be spent on better things, like expeditions to find supposed new evidence to prove evolution. The theory in itself has become more sacret than human life. If not, then where is the help from evolutionists for Sudan?

This week, Ben Roethlisberger and the 5-2 Pittsburgh Steelers travel to FedEx field to battle the 6-2 Washington Redskins ... and their scantily clad cheerleaders.

Forget about the much anticipated match-up between the Steelers stingy run defense and the NFL's leading rusher Clinton Portis, can Big Ben keep from being distracted by the Redskins' cheerleaders who do their pre-game stretching near the opposing team?

Of course it's a distraction for the players. And it's a temptation for the viewers. It's one of the reasons I'm glad I don't watch NFL games anymore. My wife's loving "Turn away!" still rings in my head. =)

I love coming to the Religious Forum to read what you so-called Atheists have to say. I don't believe most of you for a moment, though. You come here and bloviate about a God you "claim" you don't believe in and get yourselves all worked up over it. You seem to be on a mission. It's hilarious. You're like little mini-devils. The Devil believes in God, he just hates him. I think you too believe in God. Why else would you expend so much time and energy writing about how much you hate him? And you do hate him so. So you must therefore believe in him. You are, however, very entertaining.

[....] But not any God, mind you - mostly the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - Jesus, the Son of God. Notice, T.R., how often they refuse to capitalize the 'g' in God, for example - they must know, with all their "supposed wisdom", that wisdom that makes them feel they know more and better than God, that to spell it with a small 'g' is an insult to Christians. So, yes, they hate Christians - but they REALLY, REALLY hate God with a grand passion.

Quote# 51501

Call to Prayer: RESIST the Antichrist!!!!

Tonight, I would urge all Christians to PRAY and FAST as they have never done before. The final chapter has arrived. Tomorrow, America looks set to elect the antichrist as its president.

This 'Obama' man is a very shady person indeed. He is totally untrustworthy, with no-one seeming interested to learn about, or dig up, his background. But, if you look at the facts from a Christian perspective, it does not take a genius to figure out that this man is the absolute epitome of the Antichrist.

Obama was born a Muslim and educated at an Islamic school in jihadi country of INDONESIA. Daniel 1 talks about the Antichrist as the “King of the South”. Obama is of the African land of KENYA, which lies to the south of Israel. The Bible also tells us that the Antichrist will come as a man of Peace. We are all sick to death of hearing this man's rants about bringing troops out of Iraq, Afghanistan, etc... precisely fulfilling the Biblical prophecy. The Bible also says the Antichrist will be a great and charismatic orator and popular throughout the world - again pointing to Obama.
Still not enough proof?

Then consider this:

Barack: 6 letters; Hussein: 7 letters; Obama: 5 letters.

6+7+5=18=6+6+6 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And he causeth all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and
the free and the bond, that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or
upon their forehead; and that no man should be able to buy or to sell, save he
that hath the mark, even the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here
is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast;
for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred and sixty and six.
And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on the mount Zion, and with him a
hundred and forty and four thousand, having his name, and the name of his
Father, written on their foreheads.

Rev 13:16-14:1

I suppose there is the possibility that he may not be the Antichrist, but if not then he will be the false prophet foretold in Revelation. If not, he has certainly had some sort of Satanic / supernatural assistance to come to the threshold of power. Two years ago hardly anyone had heard of him, and Mrs Clinton was a 'dead cert' to receive the Demoncratic nomination. But this man has arisen from no-where, to achieve noteriety within a remarkably short space of time.

If the polls are correct, then mankind is about to witness a terrible series of events. Not long after this election, all Godly people (including myself) will be raptured. Then every demon in hell will be UNLEASHED upon the earth AND THE JUDGEMENTS OF GOD WILL RAIN UPON THE EARTH.

All evolutionists, atheists, agnostics, Hindoos, Muslims, Jews, Mormons, witches, communists, satanists and wannabe 'liberal' Christians will be left behind. What can they expect? The Bible tells us exactly what's coming: FAMINE; PESTILENCE; A MIGHTY WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE; ONE THIRD OF THE EARTH BURNT TO A CINDER; A MIGHTY METEORITE CRASHES TO EARTH; ONE THIRD OF THE ENTIRE POPULATION WILL BE MURDERED BY SATAN'S ARMY; NOISOME AND GRIEVOUS SORES ALL OVER YOUR BODY; ALL SEAS AND RIVERS TURN TO BLOOD; AND LOTS MORE BESIDES.

If Barack Hussein Obama wins tomorrow, THAT'S PRECISELY WHAT WILL HAPPEN.

*smacks forehead* Are you playing dumb or what? He talks about changing everyone's wage to $10, that is complete socialism. He believe in abortion, that is killing babies. And he believes that gays have rights, which they don't. It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. Two guys can't make a kid and two girls can't make a kid, it's not how it's supposed to be. He wants to stop funding the Iraqi war, if he does so our troops will be stuck there defenseless. The amount of evil that radiates off him makes me cringe.

- For the way they for years depicted Haeckel’s FORGED EMBRYO DRAWINGS, produced with the aim of proving the lie that human embryos possess gills, as evidence for evolution,
- For the way they are still displaying THE SEQUENCE FOR THE EVOLUTION OF THE HORSE, WHICH EVEN THEY ADMIT TO BE FALSE, in museums,
- For dishonestly depicting moths THEY GLUED ONTO TREE TRUNKS as “industrial revolution moths that had evolved by way of natural selection,”
- For depicting the Coelacanth, WHICH STILL LIVES IN DEEP SEA WATERS TODAY, as an intermediate form,
- For CONCEALING fossils of complex life forms dating back to the Cambrian Period FOR NO LESS THAN 70 YEARS, out of concern these would totally discredit evolution,
- For ADDING FEATHERS TO FOSSIL DINOSAURS and trying to pass this off as an intermediate form when they were unable to find any genuine intermediate form fossils to prove Darwinism,
- For persisting in the FRAUD THAT LIFE FORMS GRADUALLY EVOLVED FROM THE PRIMITIVE TO THE MORE ADVANCED, even though they know perfectly well that the first organisms with characteristics of a similar complexity to those of present-day life forms appeared suddenly and simultaneously in the Cambrian Period, some 530 million years ago,
- For portraying mutation experiments as evidence for evolution, despite knowing full well that mutations do nothing but harm organisms, and for years reiterating THE LIE THAT MUTATIONS LEAD TO EVOLUTION,
- And for so long teaching students in all schools and universities the deception that “chance causes evolution” AS A SCIENTIFIC FACT.

[RE: "Being gay is not natural. And real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning, tattoos, piercings and silicon breasts..."]

Eyeglasses go on your eyes to improve them. Using homosexuality logic, you would put them up your anus at your leisure.

Air conditioning is used to cool things, homosexuality logic: install them 1 foot apart in Antarctica so everyone can stick their glasses up their anus and bask in the Antarctic sun on lawn chairs while wearing Speedos.

silicon breasts... are for enhancing your sex appeal. Homosexuality logic, implant a silicon breast inside your reproductive organ to make it look more appealing while prancing around in Antarctica while wearing a Speedo to cool yourself by the air conditioners placed there to cool you while enjoying the glasses in your anus.

Use your reproductive organs to reproduce, that is normal.

[RE: "In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America."]

theocracy means: the direct rule of God. Morals are religious beliefs. Our laws are made by what our country sees as moral. America is a religion.

Quote# 51514

I would like to commend those few Catholic parishes in which yesterday's 2nd reading was proclaimed in its long form (Col. 3:12-21) rather than in its short form (Col. 3:12-17). The short option omits the part about wives being subject to their husbands. Rather than appear (gasp!) old-fashioned, or (double gasp!) patriarchal, or risk (triple gasp!) offending someone, most parishes simply skip the risky portion. A few priests may feebly attempt a clever it-isn't-what-it-looks-like dismantling of the text. Most just ignore it, and hope nobody notices.

Trouble is, Christianity is, and has always been, a patriarchal religion, as is Judaism. Indeed, marriage itself is a patriarchal institution, and civilization, founded upon marriage, is founded upon patriarchal principles.

A few prophetic voices have begun to descry and decry the effeminate, wan softness of our degenerate culture, a culture that is embarrassed by patriarchal authority. I would say 'Amen' to these prophetic cries, and point to Jesus as a manly man who likewise expects counter-cultural strength in his followers.

It's high time for Christians to realize that the cultural rejection of patriarchy is ultimately a rejection of the family, of traditional moral values, and of Christianity itself. And it's high time to stop our milksop acquiescence towards this prevailing attitude, and unflinchingly proclaim the timeless truth.

Now, in the state of California, which leads both for the good and the bad in many ways politically, there's a ballot initiative on homosexual marriage that is more important than you could imagine. It's called Proposition 8, and you must vote "yes" if you're sane. If you're insane, hate the family, hate man and woman, hate your mother and father, hate the Bible, hate the church, and hate the synagogue, of course you're in favor of "no" on Proposition 8, which is where most of the Democrat politicians are, because they are exactly what you think they are.
