Quote# 54555

Athesists hate Christianity because it exposes their error. The consequences of that exposure is that they will continue to live but it won't be in heaven. They pride themselves on a 'superior' knowledge and even call themselves the 'free thinkers'. When in reality they are only fooling themselves. Christianity doesn't start with mental gymnastics, it starts with simple faith. So simple in fact a child can get it. Atheists can't claim the same. Their religion requires a lot of mental gymnastics.

Quote# 54487

In regards to atheism and morality, the Barna Group found that atheists/agnostics in America were more likely, than theists in America, to look upon the following behaviors as morally acceptable: illegal drug use; excessive drinking; sexual relationships outside of marriage; abortion; cohabitating with someone of opposite sex outside of marriage; obscene language; gambling; pornography and obscene sexual behavior, and engaging in homosexuality/bisexuality. [1] Given the many diseases associated with homosexuality, the Bible prohibition against homosexuality is quite arguably one of the many examples where the Bible exhibited knowledge that was ahead of its time.

[...]

Evolutionist and atheist Richard Dawkins stated in an interview: “What’s to prevent us from saying Hitler wasn’t right? I mean, that is a genuinely difficult question."[4] The interviewer wrote, regarding the Hitler comment, "I was stupefied. He had readily conceded that his own philosophical position did not offer a rational basis for moral judgments. His intellectual honesty was refreshing, if somewhat disturbing on this point."[5]

In addition, there is the historical matter of deceit being used in a major way to propagate atheism from the time of Charles Darwin onward plus the issue of of atheistic ideology of communism being involved in the greatest mass murder of mankind in world history.

[...]

Per capita atheists and agnostics in the United States give significantly less to charity than theists even when church giving is not counted for theists.

Quote# 54566

Recently my sister-in-law committed suicide, and I attended the funeral with my wife and five children. At the funeral there was much talk of how the aforementioned sister-in-law is in a better place, which as I Christian I know not to be true. Suicide is an act against God that is punished with burning hellfire for all eternity. I don't want my kids to get the idea that my sister-in-law is in a better place, because that would be lying to them about the intentions of God and His punishments. My wife has been unreceptive to my wishes to tell my children of this, so how can I convince her that I'm right. If I can't, I'll tell the kids anyway, if this is the case, how do I tell them?

[More bizzare rapture fantasies.]

The five men sat eating and talking the night away....when suddenly the whole place where they were sitting began to shake quite violently...Dan and Anthony both hollered out "WHAT IS HAPPENING?" "After shocks" Dan spoke up....."Yeah that horrible earthquake that tore through the middle of the country sure did a number up the road (about 4 hours east in St Louis)....split that famous arch right in half ya know?" "of course ..but with all that's been happening..it's hard to remember it all" "and luckily for us when that Nuclear bomb hit Kansas City...the wind was out of the South or we would have been sure to been hit with fall out as well" "those poor people in Iowa ...I'm sure there getting sick as we speak" "This world has gone completely mad" Anthony spoke up and then proceeded to share the story of the two people they saw assassinated at the Flying J Truckstop in Joplin Mo. As much as the good meal fed the stomachs ....reality was attacking their soul....Daryl the 15 year old son of Dan and anthony's cousin began to cry..."I'm just so scared...what hope is their really? I mean Pastor Tim ...you shared about the times we are about to face .. THE GREAT TRIBULATION ...you called it...so all we have to look forward to is hell on earth?" Daryl's older college cousin ..realizing he was probably the one who could talk his cousins language chimed in "Daryl look at it this way.....8 years from right now...if we stick with JESUS...we will be in the most AWESOME PLACE we could ever imagine" "and we will all be together with Jesus and your mom and my mom" "there will never ever ever be anything to fear again!" "so just chill out and sit back and see what tomorrow has before you start worrying about every other thing" Daryl like only a teen can do spouted off "well I hope heaven is good as you all say or I'm really going to be ticked"

[Re: this poster, who was promptly banned: "sorry, i'm new. but are you being serious? do you really think someone should repent for that? that means you think that no Christian should have voted for obama. is this right?"]

Uh, yeah! No true Christian should have voted for BO.

All of us old enough need to be remorseful for ever allowing Roe v. Wade to be ruled favorably. But any knowing Christian (knowing= understanding the content of the FOCA, Obama's endorsement, his historic stand on infanticide in Illinois) needs to repent for having been complicit in electing a man who will escalate the numbers of baby murders exponentially throughout the world (if he gets his way).

Remember, he wouldn't want to see his daughters "punished" with a baby.

Quote# 54527

Atheism vs. Christianity

- Atheism does not have missions to feed the hungry.
- Atheism does not have programs to give shelter to the homeless.
- Atheism does not trouble itself to help the poor or give to the needy.
- Atheism does not clothe the naked or visit the imprisoned.
- Atheism does not give hope to the despairing, does not give love to the needy soul, or open arms to the broken-hearted.
- Atheism does not seek to bring healing to any person.
- Atheism does not intend to encourage the down-trodden.
- Atheism seeks to tear down Love and stop its flow into the hearts of the un-loved.
- During the 20th century, atheists (mostly communists, such as those who followed Stalin) slaughtered untold millions of Christians, Jews, and people of many other religions for the sake of their faith. This still goes on today in places like China.
- Atheism seeks to destroy the hope of Jesus Christ and take love away from a world of people in need of care. In the name of science they proclaim, "there is no God", "we evolved from slime", "the cosmos is an accident". Declaring as gods the foundations and fate of the universe, they ignore the needs of the hearts of men to know that there is a Divine Creator who loves them.
- Because an atheist got God banned from public schools, our children must pass through metal detectors on their way into school where they score worse and worse on educational tests and morals are at an all-time low. They must remember each day the school massacres of the past few years and wonder... if... when... where... who... Does anyone stop to think that this downward trend started the year God was banned from schools?

- Churches have missions to feed the hungry.
- Christians help the poor and clothe the naked.
- Bible-carrying evangelists visit the sick and imprisoned to bring redemption to those that are forgotten and thrown away.
- Preachers minister the healing power of God to those who dare to have faith and forget that miracles are impossible.
- The children of God travel the globe to give light to those in the dark, to show the love of Jesus living through themselves to the ones that He died for 2,000 years ago.
- Jesus gives the world His hope of eternal salvation, His gospel of love, His healing for body and mind and heart.
- It is the Christians, believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, who care for the world enough to take a chance on alienating themselves by sharing the hope of salvation with others.

Quote# 54409

[Season's Greetings from Westboro Baptist Church]

Want to witness a religious circus this holiday season? Look no further than the third floor of the state capitol in Olympia.

A controversial Kansas church known for blaming American casualties in Iraq on nationwide tolerance for homosexuality has asked the state for permission to erect a sign stating that "Santa Claus will take you to hell."

The sign would join a Christian Nativity set, three signs mocking atheism, and the one that started it all - the sign from the atheist group Freedom From Religion whose message that "religion hardens hearts and enslaves minds" sparked a furious nationwide debate over the nature of atheism and the boundaries between church and state.

According to the Spokesman Review, the text of the Westboro Baptist Church's message would read:

"You'd better watch out, get ready to cry, You'd better go hide, I'm telling you why 'cuz Santa Claus will take you to hell. He is your favorite idol, you worship at his feet, but when you stand before your God He won't help you take the heat. So get this fact straight: you're feeling God's hate, Santa's to blame for the economy's fate, Santa Claus will take you to hell."

Quote# 54451

Atheism is mans frailty.

There are no basic morals in atheism. Ones morals are determined by ones own view of what is moral, and what isn't. Killing an innocent person might be immoral to some atheists, and then again might be perfectly justifiable and ethical in another ones view.

Eventually, every ignorant person will turn from away from God to something else, and from there the mass will turn to yet another faith.

Essentially, atheism seeks to make man god, as it attempts to remove any ethical and moral standards that have already been set up. Its for the weak.

Atheists have no reason or obligation to act 'morally' or 'ethically' (morals and ethics are based upon religious doctrines just for u uneducated agnostics and atheists). atheists are presented with paradox, as they define what is moral and ethical themselves, which... if they believe as most intelligent people do regarding killing innocent people,,, that it is wrong.... are now agreeing with religion, which goes against their own religion, which goes on to show how incredibly moronic it is and thus makes anyone who practices it a.... moron.

This war could not occur until the nation of Israel was back in a portion of the Promise Land. There is not enough military might in the entire armies of the world to change God's promises. Israel is already a rich nation and is becoming richer every day. Their military is without parallel. They have discovered massive reserves of oil and eventually that discovery will be greater than all the Arab nations combined. How do we know that their oil deposits will be the world's greatest? The Promise Land and her treasures were ordained to flow as "milk and honey."

Quote# 54419

Oxfam is consistently anti-Israel ( by decrying the “human cost” of Israel protecting itself as siding with “Palestinians” ), pro-Hugo Chavez and nothing more than a socialist platform in the guise of a “Charity” that seeks to place a thought police of its own agenda in the US government and all of Europe. At best it is filled with useful idiots who seek to do good only to to lead by Satanic liars who seek the overthrow of all Republics under a banner of “peace and brotherhood –our way” accompanied by photos and media kits filled variously with people crying in emotional pain in the absence of Oxfam’s policies or smiling after Oxfam has arrived.

All that based exclusively on the lie of free will and the supposed universality/god-powers of non-creating speech and its common sense. The seminaries are infiltrated to specifically preach the lie of free will to make it seem religious duty to “do charity” explicitly as Oxfam and others perform it as “earning heaven”. Yet there is no earning of heaven at all.

So before you rush to buy bees for a poor farmer, a water pump for a village, etc under the auspices of Oxfam as a supposed clearinghouse of such gifts and merchant exchange in a supposed ‘ethical market’ , know very plainly that Oxfam is an anti-Christian /anti-Jesus Christ socialist propaganda tool being empowered by your use of their services as a supposed alternative to Jesus Christ that is being used against you.

The greatest show on earth was in our hands. I wondered where we would put the cameras. Jerusalem was the obvious place. We even discussed how Jesus' radiance might be too bright for the cameras and how we would have to make adjustments for that problem. Can you imagine telling Jesus, "Hey, Lord, please tone down your luminosity; we having a problem with contrast. You're causing the picture to flare."

Okay, so back to God's sovereignty.... God says that children are a blessing. He tells us to fruitful and multiply. He knows how many people the Earth can hold, so why do we presunme to be more intelligent than God? When I get married, I will have children. End of story. How many? Well, that is up to Him. The same God that closes the womb opens it (remember Hannah, Elizabeth, Leah, Ruth, Sarah). God is in control of everything, and He works out everything for His own good. He is the one we are to please, not eachother, not the environmentalists, not ourselves. Why do we forget that God has EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL!

God is WONDERFUL!! SNOW IN HOUSTON!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course you didn't need me to tell you that!

But here's what happened! This cold and dreary morning, I was sitting in my car on the way to work when I prayed to God for a miracle. I asked Him for snow. I quickly dismissed it and told Him that I didn't really expect Him to do that for me, because it was such an unusual thing here. I live in League City Texas, right by the bay. Needless to say, snow doesn't happen here very often. In fact, before recently, it had been 30 something years before the last snow. I thought asking Him for such things was silly of me.

WELL, guys... it's SNOWING LIKE CRAZY here in South Houston! I'm SO happy! I never expected God to give us such a wonderful gift. But here it is, snowing like I've never seen before in my life! Everything is covered in a blanket of white. I JUST CAN'T GET OVER THIS MIRACLE! It's like He's telling me to ask Him for anything. That it's OKAY to come to Him and just ask! Nothing is silly as long as I want it in my heart of hearts.

Thank you so much, God! (cheering seizure smiley) You are awesome and BEYOND words!

Quote# 54502

When an Atheist states that there is “No God”, I as a Christian and lover of the creative processes of God would have to agree. You see as much as and Atheist wants to be an Atheist, the premise of their argument makes them exactly what they really are: A- theist. Which leads me to believe that there are none of them!

Let me explain. The number Zero is immensely interesting just in and of itself. Saying “the number Zero” is very much akin to saying that “there is NO God”, do to the fact that Zero of its own admission is seen as the absence of numbers, however can’t be described as anything but, and its implied non-existence can’t be explained if it, and numbers, don’t exist. So in order for there to be “No” numbers, numbers have to exist, without which there would be no Zero, of which numbers it is One, as God is one, or Zero

Rod Weathers: It's absurd to deny that atheists are the heart of this. Who would torch a church but unfaithful, god-hating people? This is no assumption, but an overwhelming statistical fact.

TK: An arsonist would not, could not, be a "Christian". So who else but an atheist? Someone following Christ's teaching would never do arson. So, logically, one would assume it is a Godless person.

Quote# 54395

ALLOWEEN IS NOT “SECULAR”

Governmental educators who normally shun anything “religious” in their school system will enthusiastically embrace the celebration of Halloween, declaring it to be a “secular” holiday. The customs stem from hidden (occult) Paganism, and even the word itself refers to the Catholic’s attempt to disguise the former idolatry, “cloaking” the observance in terminology that refers to one of their contrived “holy days”.

Modern secularism is a trend that ultimately ignores the true Creator of the heavens and the Earth, and embraces the idea that humanity is the highest order, and so Humanism has become the popular religion of the times. People are kept extremely busy, distracted, and pursuing the “lusts” of their flesh. Death is believed to be the final end of them, as if their end is no better than a dog’s end. This is a terrible gamble to make. Any experienced gambler will tell you that betting everything on one of two possibilities is foolish. If we gamble that there is nothing beyond our death to worry about, and we can live as dogs and never pay any penalty for our behavior, we are placing our eternal lives on this bet. On the other hand, if we gamble that there MIGHT BE a Creator to answer to, that revealed Himself in miraculous ways, and even gave us His Words to live by, and we live by those Words, then what have we lost if it turns out there is no Creator to answer to?

We can still live a good, happy life by obeying our Creator’s Words.

(From a fundie trying to varify his article Athiests vs. Christianity)

P: You say that atheists killed millions of people. So did Christians!
A: True, Christians have killed lots of people in the name of their faith. Here's the catch: in order to do so, they had to violate what their faith teaches. Christianity teaches to not hurt people, especially as a means of spreading the faith. When a Christian does this, he violates the teachings he claims to uphold. Thus, the Christian faith itself is not responsible for any slaughters.

My main purpose in pointing out the atrocities committed by atheists is that I'm tired of them whining about how awful Christians are because of the Crusades and such. When atheists try to use that argument, I've got a big ol' cup of shut-up juice to hand them.

Quote# 54475

Of course, abortion is only one of many problems which has probably been exacerbated by false science. Murders have become so common that most are no longer newsworthy. Many people do not consider adultery to be a sin and divorce is now merely another question of freedom of choice. Similarly, the sin of fornication is now accepted as normal sexual maturing. "Living together" is seen by many as a logical preparation for marriage, perhaps even temple marriage. Do our youth know that adultery, incest, homosexuality, and bestiality were all punishable by death when the Ten Commandments were given? (Lev. 20:10-16). We watch outright theft by hurricane victims looting unprotected stores, and hear them justify it as "survival of the fittest" and then hear the news commentator ask her viewers, "Wouldn't you do the same thing?" Do we nod in agreement or are we shocked at the suggestion? The prohibitions of the Ten Commandments against murder, stealing and adultery are not only now out of sight (thanks to our tacit acceptance of judicial rulings), but also apparently out of mind.

How is it that we have come to view these crimes as acceptable behavior? To me the answer is that materialism is one of the root causes of the problem. We have been told that it is not really a baby, but a mass of cells called a fetus that has no feeling and is not alive. All scientific evidence contradicts such an absurd claim, and yet we allow ourselves to accept it. We justify theft and murder with "law of the jungle" arguments, based on believing that there is no God who will judge us after this life on how well we obeyed his commandments. If Satan can dupe us into believing that his false science has proven there is no God, then he has made a huge victory toward justifying sin.
