Quote# 41154

I am a believer but engaged to a non believer, a buddhst. We want to get married but he is still not so convinced about accepting Jesus. He wants to be a Christan so that we could get married. Can anyone suggest?

[She is then told that the love between them should be what matters most. If religious harmony is so important, she could convert to Buddhism.]

Thanks for the advice, but I know that Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Light, I know no other God but Him. So my conversion to Buddhism is not what I want to do

Quote# 41276

Responding to a caller who said, "I had to explain to my young son why these two men were holding hands the other day," radio host Michael Savage stated, during the June 16 broadcast of The Savage Nation, "You've got to explain to the children ... why God told people this was wrong." He went on to say, "You have to explain this to them in this time of mental rape that's going on. The children's minds are being raped by the homosexual mafia, that's my position. They're raping our children's minds."

... He went on to say of gay marriage, "It's a very important story. The children don't know what to make of it. Children nine, 10 are saying, 'I'm gay.' They don't know what it even means." He added: "It's a giant propaganda machine trying to pervert children"

Quote# 41277

[Yes, the real Ted Baehr actually visited my blog! The following is completely unedited.]

I must post in my own defense. As founder of the Christian Film & Television Commission and www.movieguide.org, and as a proud Reagan-style Log Cabin Republican, I fully believe that America is on the verge of complete and utter annhialation!

Only we of the Christian faith understand what marriage is, what it means, and why God invented it for us. By donating to our cause at www.movieguide.org, you can help us in our mission to redeem America's family culture, and to be Family-Wise(R)!

For the record, "when king or ruler is above the law, he often acts in imperious and dictatorial ways" is NOT an invitation to those with Bush Derangement Syndrome, to spout your lies and falsehoods about our Great President (Praise Be Unto Him).

Quote# 41199

I went through this exact scenario five years ago, when the Holy Spirit brought me back to the fold. After wandering most of my adult life, my re-entry into a personal relationship with Jesus (not just being saved) caused me to literally "go crazy" in my small town and share my changed life. Atleast that's what my friends and family thought. Every person I would run into at the post office, library, grocery store or local police would be the next "victim" of my witnessing. I even returned to my old favorite local bar and read to some of my friends from Revelation about what was coming, while replacing my beer with a diet coke. At that time I was convinced that I would be raptured within months, if not days. I still am!!! "Faith without works is dead", says James - the brother of Jesus. I left letters and tracts in my empty house for the next renter to find and explained the importance of being born again.

Quote# 41174

[In response to a thread about California's gay marriage]

I hadn't realized how much this is effecting me. I've been watching from the sidelines, kind of detached, you know. . . a sign of the times mentality, what can you do?

And then, wham, yesterday when they started showing the actual first marriages, and those two elderly women. . . and I just have this incredible desire to weep . . . and I mean WEEP, as in great, heart-wrenching sobs.

These poor, poor people. My heart cries out for them. They're flinging themselves over a cliff into eternal hell and they are so oblivious. . .

And I never cry about anything.

Quote# 41203

Actually, chemicals do not exist. They are an illusion created by God who sustains His creation. This is evidenced by the fact that the force of gravity is not great enough to hold the planets in their orbits around the sun.

But we can pretend chemicals exist, because the illusion is beyond our ability to phytscally prove otherwise.

Quote# 41155

The Bible has made falsifiable predictions also. It is called prophesy. There is a lot of prophesy made way before Christ that was fulfilled exactly in Him. Many others were made of nations and people groups and they were also fulfilled exactly. History and Archeology confirm these. Hopefully we are not getting off the subject too much.

What are the predictions that evolution makes about the future? There are Biblical predictions that have been fulfilled in our time and for the furure.

Quote# 41183

Abel's animal sacrifice pleased God simply because it involved death and blood. And that's the only thing that will pay for our sin. The purpose of the sacrifice was to have the sacrifice take our sin. God is not interested in your work to pay for your sin. It requires death. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin, the Bible says. So without the blood you can not be saved. Cain's offering of fruits and vegetables, as wonderful as it may have looked, was not impressive to God. Just by the same token, your good works and my good works are not impressive to God. The only thing He is looking for is the blood.

Quote# 41157

[Perhaps it is most unfortunate that the Catholic Church canonized the NT as it currently is. I think it a major blunder to put in stuff about miracles.]

Whatever. You're an atheist, so don't worry about the canon.

[I can worry about whatever I want to worry about.]

You're an atheist, right? If so, then what do you care what the bible says or what was canonized or what wasn't? Don't you get it? As an atheist, you are completely removed from the Kingdom of God. As an atheist, your opinion of the Bible is completely out of place.

Quote# 41192

God had Noah build a ship that could hold every kind of animal in the world. God put dragons and other animals in the ark... because the mother of storms was about to hit. The storm hit, the earth went into convulsions, the underground water shattered the earth's surface, the canopy of water above the earth collapsed. Plants, animals and people were drowned and sandwiched with the dinosaurs into layers of mud and rock, except those dinosaurs that were in the ark were "fruitful and multiplied" like other animals. But now the dinosaurs had a BIG problem, THE AIR HAD CHANGED! Remember those trillions of destroyed plants? They made the air rich with oxygen. And big animals need LOTS of oxygen to survive. In the thinner air it was harder to breathe--they got slower and easier to catch. Now you know how the dinosaurs REALLY died.

"Arabs and the Jews are cousins from one father Abrahim (SAW) its a fact you dont need books or dna to prove that just ask a real Jew or an Arab, the Jews you see in Israel are not related to the Arabs cause they are euro trash that adopted the Jewish faith, its funny that people are coming to realize this now, its shocking right cause Arabs and Jews are related that makes them by CHRISTIAN standards half Gods cause they have the same blood that your God has jesus(pbuh), right or wrong
so Saddam must have been like Hercules or something like that, cause it took all the world to power up against him.
forget this triple nonsense, no man is better then the other only by his deeds, let the Jews think they are better then the rest of the world , thats what the devil thought as well.

"I read your testimony about a month ago. What a wonderful testimony! Being formerly lesbian, do you still struggle with attractions for women? I have been having a horrible time with struggling with that and sometimes my mind goes too far. I often find myself asking for forgiveness. God bless you!

Quote# 41169

so here is my take on this matter. i just want to make it clear that i am not trying to offend anyone, and if i do, then forgive me. because as humans we should know that our life on this world is transitory and we will be held account for all we do and say. and that includes hurting people's feelings.

now as far as the gay marriage thing goes, i think everyone knows it is WRONG. it doesn't make sense. gay couples cannot have children. they cannot keep the human race going. the fact that gay marriage is legal now really isn't going to affect us..it's gonna affect our children. because now they will grow up thinking this is right. and it's not. basically it's just gonna make our job raising our kids tougher. we're gonna have to explain to them why being homosexual is not right. and we can't use the phrase "because i said so" we should have clear cut reasons. here's a couple:

1. as i mentioned before they cant have kids (without the help of science) i think that's a pretty big sign that they weren't meant to be same sex couples.

2. for all christians, they should read them the story of Sodom and Gomora. the two cities which are now at the bottom of the Dead Sea. the reason why God destroyed them was because they were homosexuals.

3.God said that He will send a disease to these people which will be incurable = AIDS,

now for those of you who are gay i'm sure you have plenty of retorts that are you're just itching to get out. but stop and think about it. YOU know it's not right. if it makes you feel better about yourself by justifying it on a public forum then go for it. but keep in mind, you will be asked about it on the day of judgement. and it is written in all the Holy Books that it is wrong. so do us all a favor and stop trying to make it a mainstream phenomenon where little kids are saying they are gay. fine you're gay. keep it to yourself. you dont need to be incorporating it into shows like Grey's Anatomy.

Quote# 41161

(Commenting on alien abductions....)

You are seriously lacking in discretion, antiaging. Our enemy is extremely clever, and even Scripture admits that he can appear to us as an "angel of light." While it's true that flying craft are not mentioned in the Bible, it is very possible that the UFO phenomena people witness today is simply a deceptive illusion intended to take our eyes away from the Savior. Most of the UFO stories I have read have a satanic subtext to them that you, as a Christian, are probably aware of. The so-called 'aliens' always tell people that they can save themselves and promote a humanistic philosophy. Ever see "The Day The Earth Stood Still?" It's about an alien who visits earth in order to end war and bring peace to mankind - in other words, a false Messiah. Please notice that the "aliens" never mention God or Christ. If these were really beings more advanced than us, then surely they would know something about the Creator and His plan of redemption. Some 'aliens' are even said to wear badges that look like flying serpents; a symbol of the devil in his angelic guise.

The "horrifying and scary" experience of being in the presence of demons is only a small taste of what horrors await in hell for those who follow this path. Just imagine spending eternity locked up alone with these creatures. Please repent of your idolatry, for, as Scripture says, "what communion has darkness with light?" You shouldn't be fellowshipping with this creatures.

Quote# 41186

In Los Angeles County, longtime partners Diane Olson and Robin Tyler were the first and only same-sex couple to obtain a license Monday.

...

Around them were dozens of family and friends and a smattering of protesters quietly holding banners offering varying slogans, including "Homo Sex Is Sin!," but all suggesting that gay marriage invokes God's wrath.

They stood before Reform Rabbi Denise Eger, and their ceremony was both crazed and intimate...From the sidelines, a protester screamed, "Jesus Loves You!"

Quote# 41189

Liberal politics destroyed the thriving Christian churches in Massachusetts. In other parts of the world, politically driven Islam has overtaken Christianity and virtually abolished it.

Abortion, which is mostly driven by politics, has devastated Christian families in many parts of the world, especially England and the northeastern United States. Same-sex marriage, which is also politically driven, has caused ripped apart the Anglican and other Christian churches. Addictions such as gambling and pornography, which are also politically driven, have have devastating effects on Christian churches and families.

In some cases, billions of taxpayer money is used by government to erode and destroy Christian values, as in some of the curriculum taught in public schools. It is entirely up to Christian churches to identify, expose and combat these indirect attacks on Christianity. In Democratic states where the government-subsidized attacks on Christianity have been most severe, Christian churches have already lost much in support by not responding to this challenge.

Quote# 41181

Theocracy involves no human leaders like all of the liars who claimed to be Theocratic have had - proving them to be false. A true Theocracy is Rule by God (The Ruler of the Universe) alone. THAT Government is already established and currently Governing the whole of Creation, save on Earth where men have instead elected to live under evil greedy mans color of law laws, to their own demise.

The Eco-System is prime example of how Life flourishes under God's Rule; and the destruction IT is prime example of what happens when people follow any other leader (the blind leading the blind off of a cliff).

Anyone who is anti-Theocratic (God's) Rule is pro human extinction for those are the two options that we now face.

Quote# 41190

Washington is a town filled with boobs.

They're everywhere, from the bare-breasted ladies who decorate the fountain at Dupont Circle to the peekaboo statue in the Justice Department's Great Hall to the countless nudes in our museums. But while those of us who live here hardly blink at the public nudity, it can shock some of our visitors. Such was the case for Robert Hurt, who last week tried to add the issue of artistic indecency in the nation's capital to the platform of the Texas GOP.

"You don't have nude art on your front porch," the Dallas Morning News quoted the delegate as telling the platform committee at the state party convention. "So why is it important to have that in the common places of Washington, D.C.?"

Hurt, 54, a Kerrville, Tex., rancher and father of 14, told us in a phone interview he first came to Washington a decade ago for a gathering of the evangelical Promise Keepers on the Mall. "It was probably not much different than 'The Beverly Hillbillies' going to Beverly Hills," he joked. At the National Gallery, he was appalled to see statues of unclothed people. "I found it very inappropriate," he said. Returning a few years later, he discovered Arlington Memorial Bridge, flanked by the bare-chested figures of Valor and Sacrifice.

"The Lady Godiva thing -- that's what it conjured up, and that's not what our country's about," he said.

Quote# 41139

(replying to Steve Simms, who suggested that money spent on building two Bible theme parks would be much better spent on inner-city Christian ministries and helping the poor)

Steve Simms... what if we just took all business profits and put half that money to inner-city missionaries? Then you could be Barack Obama! That's just as dumb an idea as yours. An individual has a right to build a business, make a profit and decide ON THEIR OWN how much, if any, of that profit will go to inner-city missionaries or anywhere else.

I wish I understood why liberals have such a problem with a business making money. When a business makes money, liberals get jobs. Everybody gets jobs, even if you're evil and make $100,000 a year or more! If liberals have such a problem with how much money a business makes, they should go start their own business, make scads of money, and give half of it to inner-city missionaries or, like George Soros, to every socialist political organization they can find. If they want to hand over their profits to the government or whomever, that's their choice. But it's a mandate, not a choice, to dictate to any business that it has to give up more of its profit to the government!

Like what Obama and Democrats want with the oil companies. Does anyone honestly think that's going to make Exxon lower the price of a gallon of gas? If you do you need to pull your head out of your butt. All it will do is cause thousands of layoffs to make up for the lost revenue.

If someone wants to build a Bible park, we ought to applaud them for wanting to spread the Word of God and trying to restore some morals to a nation that is increasing becoming void of them.

Quote# 41167

Interesting.....I am at work, and someone pulled this up on their computer to show fellow employees the picture on the front, of these two women kissing. Every single person in this area of the building is running in here to take a peek at the picture, giggling and laughing on their way back to their workstations, all the while telling whoever they pass in the hall to go have a look..hehehe.....it's quite the joke. It is almost like the circus came to town via the internet. To some it may be funny, comical. And I will admit that when I look at this picture, it almost seems like a comic book pic, but mostly it is just repulsive. And I almost feel ashamed to be a woman looking at these freaks. I know there are those who accept this and think it is fine. But in all honesty, lesbians and gays will never be looked at as "normal" in the very basic way that God intended. There is a reason he made the anatomy of a man and a woman the way that he did. I am in no way a mean person who enjoys hurting people with hateful words. But this is just the most wrong thing that I have ever seen take place. Even war is less wrong than this. And that is the saddest thing of all.
