Quote# 42900

It was the devil and his ilk who have turned this world into a cess pool. It is sin which cause men to trade their eternal Souls for a brief transitory pleasure. Nothing in this world is real. Nor will it last. Even if you own it and it is yours when your flesh suit stops working you can not take it with you.

The hatred you feel should be directed towards the devil. It is his hatred of you and your loved ones that has caused so much pain and suffering.

JESUS CHRIST our KING loves you more then you could ever imagine. JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY truth in this world. JESUS CHRIST is the only way home out of this world. JESUS CHRIST will not abandon nor forsake you. Even if the whole world turns aganist you JESUS CHRIST will not.

I thank ALMIGHTY GOD in HEAVEN for HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. No one else in this world ever gave a crap about me except for my Savior JESUS CHRIST. Only the love of ALMIGHTY GOD through HIS SON JESUS CHRIST gives me a reason to hang on till HIS soon return. I hate what this world has become. I hate the evil people who think they have the right to enslave the rest of us for their evil pleasures. This world is not my home. HEAVEN is my home and I want to go home ASAP!

[On what will happen if gay marriage is expanded to more states]

"Lets see, there's a divorce rate of around 50 percent, social permission for men to experiement in homosexuality, along with the women's movement to kill their babies, instead of honor God's will for them as mothers. And psychopathically frustrated young men murder a dozen fellow students every year or so in the public schools. Gee, I can't see any affect upon healthy marriage and family, can you?"

Quote# 42873

* First, the non-existence of God cannot be proven. One cannot prove a universal negative. Alternatively, the existence of God is provable.

* The concept, design, and intricate details of our world necessitate an intelligent designer.

* Both direct and indirect evidence for God’s existence are well known and well documented. Nothing in history is better known or better documented than the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We even use the year of His birth as the basis for our calendar. He perfectly matched the over 100 unique Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament regarding His birth, life, death, and resurrection. The laws of probability cannot give us a reasonable explanation for either the Messianic predictions or the resurrection, let alone both by the same person.

Jesus’ miracles were witnessed by many and were documented redundantly for additional corroboration. He was seen by at least 500 people after His resurrection. He was seen ascending into heaven. His transfiguration was seen by Peter, James, and John. His wisdom in dealing with many circumstances was astounding. He never promoted Himself or His miracles. C. S. Lewis stated that He couldn’t have just been a good teacher. He was either a liar, lunatic, or Lord. He didn’t even come close to meeting the profile of a liar or lunatic, so He had to be God.

* Jesus Christ also supported the truth of the Old Testament and quoted it many times. Consequently, with Jesus Christ, we have an eyewitness to the truth of the Old Testament. This gives credibility to the creation account and God’s interaction with man. The entire Old Testament account is about how God is trying to have a relationship with man while man is separating himself from God by sin. It tells how God is long-suffering and merciful and ultimately how God sent His Son to die for our sins so God could ultimately have a relationship with us.

God’s interaction with man in the Old Testament was often and powerful. Some of the main interactions included Adam, Cain, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, the Israelites, the prophets, and the kings. In addition to Jesus’ testimony to the truth of the Old Testament, ancient manuscripts, archaeology, and internal consistency also testify to its truth. Consequently, much direct evidence including eyewitness accounts and indirect evidence corroborate the existence of God and the truth of the Bible.

Quote# 42890

[A fundie is listing his complaints about doing his job. He sells water purification systems and one of his potential customers is the headquarters for the church of scientology]

If they were to acquire our systems, they would have clean, cold, fresh drinking water, thus causing them to work more efficiently, and be happier while working. The Employees would be cooler and refreshed with cold, great tasting water, and have hot water for a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate, and then they would be ready to do their best at their job of creating media of false and demonic doctrines for distribution.

My issue is that I REFUSE to sell them a system, or even contact them for an appointment, as I believe that is aiding/abetting the enemy in the spread of a false gospel and demonic doctrines. I told my boss "it would be like walking into a house of thieves and murderers, cooking them dinner and giving them cold water, and blessing them in order that they could pull off a job with lots of energy, warmth, and strength."

I pulled my boss into a private meeting, and explained to him my ethical problems with contacting and selling this demonic kingdom a fresh water system. Told him that it conflicts with my outlook because I hold fast to the Word of God, and that I am not to bless false teachers in any way, even if it's just a matter of "business", and the "growth of the company" I work for. He told me he thinks I'm thinking too critically about this, after all, it's just a water system...I told him no, I'm not thinking too critically about this-- I'm thinking Biblically about this, and I believe it is wrong, and that I'm not gonna risk being responsible for even ONE person recieving a well edited video about false gospel for ANY amount of commission in my pocket because I provided them good, cold drinking water...Or hot water for some tea or hot chocolate for that matter.

Quote# 42901

"Come on KKing, follow the bible. Give a justification for your beliefs."

I can give them the reasons why but they won't believe them and they will bash whatever reasons I give.

For example I could say that Early Christians were not just killed for believing what the did they were torchured for something they felt strongly about. So many of them were torchured. Now it seems illogical that they would not just be killed (which is the easy way out) but they were torchured.

Paul who was called Saul used to kill and torchure Christians himself but he was turned and did a 180 and became one of the most known Christians in history. How could that happen like that if it was not real?

Quote# 42855

No there is no extra-terrestrial life out there when one believes in the Bible.
God created the world in 6 days, stars and planets on day four and their
purpose was to mark the seasons. The world is only 10,000 yrs old, tops.
Life did not evolve over billions of years, therefore there was no time for
life to evolve on other planets and God gave life.

Come judgment day the entire universe will be rolled up like a scroll and
melt away. In one day, everything will be gone. Did Jesus go and start
life on another planet, did He die on another planet, is not one messed
up creation not enough for God to deal with? Come judgment day all those
other people will be judged with us? Or just perish?

I believe in a young earth, this planet is the center of the universe, not
physically speaking but spiritually, when its time for this planet to be gone
everything else goes at the same time. God has His hands full with us,
it took Him just a day to make the moon and the stars, He rested on the
7th, then went to work on what its all created for - Man - He is still
working on me, because I'm created in His image.

Other life forms, no way, a dreamers escape. But here's one for you
Mr. Spock! Christians are the only hope for life anyone on this planet has,
for one day it is going to disappear and the only ones who will survive
are those who have a relationship with God. We are mankind's only and last
hope. And when judgment day happens, mankind will not get any bigger
our numbers will be sealed, we will only grow wiser with Christ.

Jody Foster said, If we are the only ones in this entire universe, what a
waste of space. But I say to Jody, the creation we see shows us how
God loved us, by giving all this to only us.

Quote# 42959

((On why offending God merits eternal suffering))

It is His position, I hope this isn't too poor of an analogy...

You are walking down the street and you are in a pretty poor mood, you bump into a homeless man, in your frustration you shove him to the ground- because of his status nothing really happens to you.

Same scenario, but you bump into me ( a regular guy) I call the police and maybe you get a fine and probation.

Same scenario, but you bump into the president- if you are not shot by the secret service- you will go to prison.

it is not just the offense- it is the rank of the person you have sinned against.

[About Barack Obama]

My 2 cents: I think he has been hand picked and groomed also by some group for the presidency. I also think the forces behind him are satanic and supernatural. It may be part of God's plan for him to be elected, but personally I'd just as soon get raptured rather than witness what I think we are going to witness. And if he is elected, I think he will be so controlled by this "group".... you wont see a senator, you wont see a president, you will see a "figurehead" used for evil purposes. And he aint "even" the antichrist yet.

Has anyone bought Guitar Hero: On Tour? I was thinking about buying it for myself. I bought Guitar Hero 3 for Xbox 360 for $9.99 without the guitar. And after a day or so of playing it I threw it out, because it was crawling with demonic and occult symbols ... not to mention the song "the mark of the beast" where the singer was singing "666" over and over again ... I was utterly shocked. And quite frankly I still am. So I was wondering if On Tour was any better. I don't want to spend $50 and find out it was a waste of money. If I ask about On Tour on Yahoo Answers, or another website they won't tell me exactly what I need to know.

Let's say your fertilized egg will not get implanted even if you're not on the pill; that is God's doing, not yours. So let God do His work or let God allow what will happen without you interfering.

Wouldn't you rather let God do His work instead of you actually causing the fertilized egg not to implant therefore causing an abortion?

Without wanting to sound cynical but to try and argue truth and reason with most secularist is a challenge. They hide behind women's rights so the abortion industry can prosper, insist the right to view pornography (even though it leads to child sexual abuse)and claim that bigoted Christians are really the cause of the world's woes!

They are quick to promote homosexual marriage knowing that it is destructive for society. In fact any honest study will show you most of the hated paedophile priests are homosexuals.

The only absolutes they believe in are the ones they make up themselves. One day they will bow their knee and confess Jesus Christ is Lord. Hopefully some of them will have found a little humility and repented before then.

Religion in school hit

Worcester humanists hear teen’s experience

WORCESTER— Matthew LaClair looked forward to taking his accelerated 11th-grade American history class, hoping to learn how the founding fathers, among other things, framed the U.S. Constitution to guarantee that the government would be free of religious influences.

The 16-year-old got more than he had hoped for — becoming the focus of a lingering separation of church and state controversy that some feel will be discussed for years to come in constitutional law classes.

Mr. LaClair, now 18, drew national media attention back in fall 2006 after complaining that David Paszkiewicz, his history instructor at Kearny High School in Kearny, N.J., was proselytizing.

The teen, who felt uncomfortable with what his teacher was saying, secretly taped eight classes, which revealed Mr. Paszkiewicz discussing his faith and telling his students that heavenly salvation could only be attained through Jesus Christ.

“I don’t have any problem with what he believes in,” said Mr. LaClair, who spoke yesterday afternoon at the annual summer outing of the Greater Worcester Humanists group. “But I do have a problem about him talking about his religion in a public high school and trying to convert his students.”
[snip]
What happened almost two years ago still bitterly divides the town of Kearny, a community of about 41,000 that’s located across the Passaic River from Newark. It also has provided further fodder in the long-running debate about the role of religion in public classrooms.

“I am saddened, frustrated, and just angry about how school officials handled the whole thing,” said Mr. LaClair.

He was surprised that most people in Kearny ended up supporting Mr. Paszkiewicz, a well-liked 16-year veteran of the school system.

Mr. LaClair said that even many longtime friends turned against him. One student sent him a death threat.

“He’s so convincing that you like to hear him talk,” said Mr. LaClair of his former teacher. “He’s charming and calming. I also think a lot of people thought that I was personally attacking Jesus and his faith. I never intended to do that.”
[snip]
According to Mr. LaClair, Mr. Paszkiewicz, during class time, advocated the theory of creationism, denigrated the beliefs of Muslims, and said that only Christians were destined for heaven. In one discussion, Mr. Paszkiewicz observed that dinosaurs were aboard Noah’s Ark.

“He basically said that if you didn’t follow Jesus you’d go to hell,” Mr. LaClair said.

[Photographing men without shirts == Excommunication]

The creator of a calendar that featured shirtless Mormon missionaries was excommunicated Sunday after a disciplinary meeting with local church leaders in Las Vegas.

Chad Hardy said he bears no ill will toward the council of elders from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

"I felt like I spoke my truth," the 31-year-old entertainment entrepreneur said. "Bottom-line, they still felt the calendar is inappropriate and not the image that the church wants to have."

"Men on a Mission," which has sold nearly 10,000 copies at $14.99 each, included pictures of 12 returned missionaries wearing black slacks, but not their trademark white shirts, in modest poses. The men also were photographed in traditional missionary garb and share their religious beliefs in biographical sketches.

Funny, that. Why would so many people do those things. We don't see animals do those things. Why would so many people do those things if there wasn't anything in it.

[This includes people who understand and are working in science and other intellectual pursuits so lack of intellect or understanding of science is not an explanation.]

Atheists and Christians: What do you think?
For all the atheists out there, I just have to say im sorry.believe seeing is believeing, no? so since we can't see God, he must not exist right?

Consider this statement: All human beings have brains.

That's a fact right...Well I don't think so. No, I don't think people have brains. Nope. I think our thoughts are just free floating in there. See because, according to the same principle, since I cannot see my brain that must meen don't have one right?
Cause i mean all anatomical book in the world say i have a brain, but no, i think i don;t have one, cause i can't see it.

The universe was created by chance right?

There's a house out in the middle of the woods. It has brick walls, windows, and doors, inside, there is plumbing, air conditioning, furniture, clothing and people. I guess they must have all just appeared there by chance to. I mean i didn't see anyone build anything but i just walked thought the woods one day and boom there was this house so, yep it was created by a house size explosion.
That's what i think happened.

Quote# 42879

Well over 53% (a 1972 statistic) of couples who contracept end up in divorce, while 3% of couples who use Natural Family Planning end up in divorce. They never mention this in high schools.

Little girls do not grow up dreaming of hopping from bed to bed and contraception. They dream of a man who will sweep them off their feet and love them forever, and of having his many children. A cynicism born of the sexual revolution has brought emptiness to the hearts, wombs and lives of far too many modern women. This emptiness and pain can be avoided or redeemed and healed by the love of Christ and adherence to His teachings. The Catholic Church believes in such dreams because God wrote them on the human heart. And there are men who long for such a woman to love and cherish.
Real lovers want to give without reserve in God's own superabundance creating more hearts and lives to love. Contraception is like kissing through a screen door and real love cannot tolerate obstacles. Contraception breeds selfishness and separation that drives a wedge between husband and wife that kills love. Real lovers want their love to explode into the posterity of future generations for all eternity. This is the kind of passion and fulfillment God wants for His children. Contraception limits what should be boundless. It spits in the face of this glorious passion and love's true abandon; and that is why it is a sin. It seeks to "tame" love, thus killing it. The Catholic Church is the last bastion on earth of true romance. The modern world has suffocated love and made sex a thing of deadness.
