Quote# 55822

Evolutionists not being rational
Evolutionists like to argue that Darwin has raised their consciousness, they claim they now know better than the "superstition" of God's 6-day creation. They consider themselves more intelligent & have better critical thinking skills as a result, and that this is advantageous for them, and also think that people would be better off rejecting Genesis and accepting evolution.

Well, if people were better off in life rejecting Genesis and accepting Evolution... then evolutionists would currently be at an advantage in the world. We have to wonder why they would want to actively diminish their advantage by promoting evolutionism to others as this would reduce their survival- that's not rational. Their whole evolution doctrine is about advantageous attributes surviving, whilst those without those attributes would suffer and eventually die away. And, that as this is just nature at work it would not require intelligent intervention. But by actively promoting and seeking to impose the teaching of evolutionism in schools etc. the evolutionists are making interventions in nature.

So, by the evolutionists aggressively promoting evolutionism they're not acting rationally according to what they're promoting.

my point is dinosaurs are not as old as the carbon dating proves, they died during the Noah's ark flood to prove that, is fossilization process is rapid that a buried carcass well preserved would take over 40years. the have been some discoveries of human fossil that dated back to the dinosaur era and they(evolutionist/scientist) have even discovered dinosaurs intestines, blood, tissue, and cells. But evolutionist would never tell you that, because it debunks the theory of evolution, because it would trigger other questions. see why evolution is a religion

Throw in enough words like imagine, perhaps, and might have -- and you've got yourself a scientific theory! How about this: Imagine a giant raccoon passed gas and perhaps the resulting gas might have created the vast variety of life we see on Earth. And if you don't accept the giant raccoon flatulence theory for the origin of life, you must be a fundamentalist Christian nut who believes the Earth is flat. That's basically how the argument for evolution goes.

This guy must have missed the recent studies that show churchgoers are generally more happy and enjoying thier lives more than non-churchgoers. And they have happier marriages and better sex lives. So, I think there is a false assumption somewhere within this message.

Here’s my slogan. Believe in God and go to church; you’ll get better sex.

Now that would sell.

I am absolutely FED up with all these atheist. They complain about everything. I am sure satan is enjoying all of this. Sadly it seems the atheist are multiplying quickly, enticing more and more people in to their beliefs and away from God. Everywhere I look it seems an atheist is around the corner spewing hatred. Unfortunately for me my boss is one of them, I pray for him all the time. A little off topic, but some prayers I can find a new job would be appreciated.

The Shack" Has Me Very, Very Disturbed!!

Has anyone here read "The Shack"?

I am so upset over that book!!! It's riding the bestseller list, going to be made into a movie and it is teaching false beliefs about Christianity.

There is one page that claims you can be saved WITHOUT BELIEVING IN JESUS CHRIST that has me especially upset. Jesus said, "I am The Way, the truth and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father but by Me..." There IS no other "way" except Him!!!

On another page it claims God does NOT want you to "slavishly follow His Will..." Huh??? What happened to, "Thy Will Be Done"?? This is so, so wrong! And it's so frightening that it's selling like hotcakes! I'm glad I didn't spend a PENNY on it, checked it out of the library -- I don't want to contribute a DIME to that author's heresy!

Another page claims you should NOT try to "be like Jesus." Whaaaaaat??? As the name of the famous Thomas Kempis book goes, "Imitation of Christ," we ARE supposed to try to "model" Jesus, to constantly strive for His goodness and Holiness (even though, obviously, we can never be that good).

This book is leading people astray in so many ways. It breaks my heart that it is a bestseller. And the most awful part is that it CLAIMS to be a "Christian book" and a "great work." Give me a break!!!!!!

The author should be ashamed of himself!!!

Yeah, it's only a sin to get drunk. Drinking a little is fine. Islam is the one that forbids touching alcohol at all. Although they don't seem to have much of a problem with crack, steroids, etc...

You find Christianity rediculous, but you see Star Trek as non-fiction? There's the big bang and creationism. You can believe the big bang created the world, or an intelligent designer did. I'm sure both can be backed up by reason and evidence, and I'm sure both side will try and attack each other. If you want creationists to satire evolution, well it's not that hard to insult a belief where frogs become princes, of course its not by a kiss anymore.

[re: Barack Obama to be sworn in as President on Abraham Lincoln's bible.]

And no doubt Obama will carry on Lincoln's legacy by finishing what Lincoln started - the destruction of the constitution.

Well, that's not really fair because Lincoln actually did finish it off. The only reason it hasn't been replaced is because liberals like to occasionally claim adherence to it when it suits their cause.

By the way, even the staunch Lincoln defender Peter Marshall Jr. admits that Lincoln was not a Christian until, maybe, his third year in office. He had said some critical things about the Bible during his pre-presidential years, and so I guess Obama will indeed walk in Lincoln's shoes when he hypocritically swears in on a book he doesn't believe.

But of course, by the time the historians of the winning side gets done, Obama will be a Saint just like Lincoln.

And just so you'll know I'm an equal-opportunity cynic, Thomas Red-Letter-Bible Jefferson (a good ole southren) was a hypocrite when he put his on the Bible too. But at least Jefferson didn't destroy the constitution that he swore to uphold.

The rise of atheists today where hatred and intolerance of religion is banded about is considered acceptable opposition and condemnation. They get to kill religion, take down God, live up to the ideals of atheism, be seen as a hero. But to be able to accept the sacred right and freedom of worship our heroes fought and died for, and to be able to get over their theophobia and get on with life without devoting it to attacking religion, that takes real guts, that makes them a hero.

I guess it isn't surprising from the same society that would take a guy who goes around committing mass murder and lock him up, but give him a medical certificate and a lab coat and he is a dr. helping a woman with her right to choose.

I'm not an American and this idiotic nonsense quibbling over "separation of church and state" based on this idolatrous worship of the US constitution (that has replaced God & common sense) does not qualify as wisdom by any means. If the constitution prohibits religious thought in the schools the constitution is wrong, period. Thought police such as materialists have forced upon the US public school system are a disgrace to the very idea of democracy and freedom - which is why the West is quickly losing it's taken for granted freedoms.

If the constitution prohibits 'religion' being taught in school then Darwinism is the first religion that should go.
It is nothing more than the religion of materialist secular humanism with its origins myth disguised as science in spite of it's growing and glaring failures.

Andy: Surely if it's "observed fact of life" and "very obvious and well known" you must have SOME scientific articles that back up your claims?

OBW: So you admit you cannot prove there are no articles verifying this?

Andy: I now have to go through EVERY scientific journal ever published (should probably add every honours and doctorate thesis in there too) just to prove that your baseless assertions DON'T have journal articles to support them?

OBW: Yes, until you do then my claim wins by default since you cannot prove they 'dont exist' or haven't in some past time.
