Quote# 64511

I am sure you have noticed how terrible the news is. I get on-line to see the daily news and it is terrible. I have some old newspapers from the 60's and the news was very very calm compared to what it is now. I wonder how bad it will get before Jesus comes and rescues us from all of this?

This is what I have been saying for awhile...
I have had a VERY BAD Feeling, about this....O wants to cut life short for the elderly...
I knew his endgame would be the Beginning of Life...Woman has a Child that will be born with Disabilites, Gov't run healthcare would PROBABLY would MAKE A woman Terminate or LOSE all COVERAGE of INsurance and anyother help she may be entitled too and Child too... O believes in partial birth abortion, so this doesn't surprise me....
O is Just EVIL he is in essence the devil

Quote# 64563

DH & I were watching the news last night and the Gardasil commercial came on. I told DH, "If these girls would stop having sex before marriage, they wouldn't need a vaccine." I have to shake my head at the smug mothers saying that they had their daughters vaccinated to protect them. They just gave their daughters permission to be sexually promiscuous.

Quote# 64538

Do you ever feel guilty giving to a charity that's non-Christian? We get solicitations from our local fire department, the ambulance service, cancer society, heart association and so on. I guess I worry that if I send money to a secular group that I'm wasting money that could have gone to a missionary or to get Bibles for China or something. We give missions money at church every week and we try to give to Open Doors each month so it's not that we're not giving to those things I just feel like I could do better.

Quote# 64527

Have you ever carefully observed a person with physical handicaps like blindness, or deafness or dumbness or with disability of the hands and legs? If it is the blind person, he cannot with the eyes of the head like you and me can but that person is saved from even accidentally viewing Voyeuristic scenes in the newspapers and magazines accidentally coming across vulgar and suggestive film posters on the streets. If we talk of the deaf person, he is saved from hearing Gossips and verbal abuses that people in cities normally end up giving to each other, including the educated lot of people. If we talk of a dumb person, he or she is saved from casually lying to people around us and even spoiling the children around us in the process. If we talk of a person with physical disabilities of the hands or the legs, that person is saved from hurting an innocent person in a fit of anger. That person is saved from the guilt of remaining passive when an innocent women or girl is being eve-teased or sexually harassed in front of him. Thus, it is high time we learn to appreciate and rediscover the value of the assets that Almighty has gifted us with otherwise we would still be handicapped despite having our eyes, tongue, ears, hands and legs in perfect order.

Quote# 64520

Wow, you are all so much more prepared than me, all I have is a survival kit with a Bible and hundreds of electronic data I sent to emails. My sister says she hasn't read any of it because it scares her, but she has kept it in a file on her computer with my name on it. I told her that she needs to know about what is going on and asked her to say the Lord's prayer, asking Jesus to come into her heart and forgive her sins, I told her who Jesus is and what he has done for us and just pray that she will remember if she misses the rapture. She tells me she doesn't want to worry about the "bad " things in the world and just wants to live her lief. Then, I said, " do you know your children will be taken" they are only 5 and almost born (two more weeks)?" She dropped her jaw and said she would try to do more to understand, though she fizzles out on me after a very short time. I just keep praying for her, God knows she is the sweetest girl and she will never survive the tribulation. Maybe I will make up a packet of some sort, any suggestions for a very scared girl (my sister) who has an obnoxious and athiestic husband fighting against me?

Quote# 64576

*nurse is forced to help abort a third term fetus because the mother has Preeclampsia*

DISGUSTING!

Under ObamaCare this nurse would be charged with a federal crime! The liberals are working day and night to legislate Satan's morality.

Just look at the bias in this article. "a condition marked by high blood pressure that can lead to seizures or death if left untreated." Preeclampsia is a natural condition that affects 5% of births. The liberal medical establishment want to extinguish the life of 5% of ALL babies in this country! This just proves the importance of visiting Christian doctors. It's a very well known fact that very few, if any, mothers and babies die from preeclampsia. It's just another excuse the liberals use to kill another of God's precious babies!

Quote# 64542

After homeschooling our two eldest children, people at our church told us that we should send them to a "Christian" college so that they could engage further in their faith.

Well... our first sign should have been that the college was not very homeschool friendly but it was one of the best Christian liberal arts colleges in the country, and our kids were excited to go, so away we went!

Folks, we are now reaping the rewards of that. Our eldest son got placed with an openly gay roommate who introduced him to the dark side. This led him to come out himself and to walk away from his faith upon graduation.

We began to notice troubling signs in our daughter as well. We have always held and taught our children very traditional Christian beliefs, including that a woman should be a keeper at home with her children. Well, in one of her classes some of the girls were making fun of her because she wants to be a housewife! And to make matters worse, her teacher sided with the girls by saying that a woman should have a career first before marriage and that to not "follow your dreams" (by this he obviously meant working 9-5) was stupid. My daughter was in tears when she talked to me on the phone that night!

Luckily, there is hope for my daughter she is going into her sophomore year next year and she will not be returning. I don't know what to do and I feel so betrayed. My husband and I are at our wits end, when we attended college, the fact that it was "Christian" meant something!

We have lately held family talks where I feel that it is time that we sent our daughter to a fundamentalist school. I feel like they are slightly legalistic in a few respects, but I have met many graduates of these schools who clearly love the Lord and who do not struggle with such matters as modesty or manners because it was drilled into them. PLUS all the female graduates of these colleges are happily married with children and they teach respect for the god-ordained role of women and they celebrate it and expect all their female students to live by it (which is something my daughter's roommate needed, poor girl didn't know how to do her own laundry or cook and was always struggling with modesty!).

I am sorry for the rant. But like I said before, I feel so betrayed that a "Christian" organization would so blantantly violate basic Christian beliefs. It boggles my mind!

Quote# 64537

We dress very modestly. I try to wear dresses only but occasionally if the occasion really calls for it, I will wear capris and a loose top that goes below the behind. My youngest daughter is also very good about this. My son is very naturally modest, thank you Jesus, and we have always taught him walking through the mall to look away if he sees a girl not dressed appropriately. And we make a deliberate detour rather than walking him past the bra and panty section in department stores. We watch movies either where they dress indecently and don't have TV.

Now if only my 18 year old would dress a little more modest... She is very into the sexual purity, but not so into the modesty. To an adult they so obviously go together, but not to a teen.

[Mum wants to know how to assuage her kids doubts about the veracity of the Noah's Ark story in light of the existence of dinosaurs]

Tell him that the dinosaurs were taken on the Ark like all the other animals. Noah probably took young/baby ones. :-) Plus, the average size of dinosaurs was roughly that of a sheep. They weren't all huge!

Quote# 64505

As for those irritating Christ followers, well, we’ll just have to do something about them. They are a fly in the ointment, a thorn in the side of Mr. Obama, but Mr. Obama has a plan to eliminate that segment of the American society. Mr. Obama is going to push through every immoral perverse piece of legislation possible and create a multitude of immoral laws that will sooner or later render the Christians in this country completely powerless, at least that’s what he thinks. That’s because he doesn’t really know who he’s dealing with. Watch out for hate crimes, they will be focused on those who believe the truth of the Bible.

There is really nothing Mr. Obama can do to those who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our God is much bigger than Mr. Obama, and has a much longer reach. God is in control of our current situation here in the US, the same as He is in every nation on earth. God will have his way; He will be exalted above all others. Nothing can change that fact, or alter the outcome, and no man can legitimately claim otherwise.

Quote# 64502

Many scientists, such as the ones in this study, ignore the destructive genetic changes that lie behind flower color variation and instead focus on how the resulting shades of color are acted upon by various types of pollinators, presupposing that the flowers are somehow changing to match the available birds and insects. But while the diverse pollinators may serve to propagate different flowers of certain colors, they induce no new structures. They actually show off the resiliency built into creation by the Creator, who made flying creatures with just the right kinds of mouth parts to pollinate these plants, as well as enough flexibility in their visual systems to still be able to recognize mutant, degenerate flower colors.
