[re: Pastor arrested for preaching the Bible to people standing in a DMV line.]

The whole thing is wrong. First of all, the man wasn't preaching, he was reading. Second, there was no "captive audience"; as none of the people standing in line had to keep standing there. They were free to leave or ignore the man reading.

Also, notice how the police officer, upon initial arrival, goes directly to the man reading and tells him he's under arrest. The policeman didn't observe to see if the man was preaching or not. The policeman didn't ask him if he had been preaching and asked to leave.

Quote# 81232

That’s really stupid, atheists believe that belief in God is man’s biggest problem, you know, all wars are fought in the name of God and what not; so an atheist would likely let the injured be and move onto another. I guarantee that if a voodoo practicing Haitian were injured and a Christian were helping him, he’d be very glad, and he would know that a Christin would not accede to the wish of invoking demons... while the atheist, in his ignorance, would accede and allow for demonic intervention. If the atheist wishes to know whether or not demons exist, stay and live among those who practice voodoo or other paganistc practices, and challenge them to a, shall we say, contest.

Really irks me that the gays stole the rainbow. Why this crap is even in the school baffles me. If you don't want to be bullied then don't swish around school. There is no need to bring your sexual lifestyle into the school. Seems simple enough to me. School should teach & not be involved with this gay bs. You want to be gay then take the crap that goes with it. I am so sick of gay’s whining.

Quote# 81200

The first thing I attempt to discuss with such people, as yourself, is the validity of the bible. Because if the bible is not the word of God and is not inerrant then the bible cannot be relied on as spiritual truth. My personal challenge to you, is to provide me with any errors you might believe exist in the bible (contradictions, lies, etc). You see the bible proves itself as the word of God based on it's accuracy in areas such as archeaology, manuscriptural authenticity, prophetic fulfillment, etc. This “book”, actually consists of 66 books written by different authors spanning over a period of 1400 years, from 3 different continents, men ranging from shepherds and fishermen to kings, yet NOT one contradiction exists. Try getting a few different guys from the same neighborhood and ask them to write some truth about spiritual things and you'll end up with an incredible amount of contradictions, errors etc. yet look what the Lord did supernaturally with the writers of the bible! Think about it - over 700 years before Jesus was born, His birth was prophesied, and about 1000 years before Jesus was crucified it - it too was prophesied - in great detail - and this was way before death by crucifixion was practiced, also see...

Quote# 81171

Even the idea in the Wizard of Oz, that there are both “good” and “bad” witches, was channeled through an occultist by the name of Frank Baum (1851-1919).

Baum, who authored the Wizard of Oz, and converted it into a stage play before it became one of the most popular movies of all time, claimed, “There is a strong tendency in modern novelists toward introducing some vein of mysticism or occultism into their writings.”
The Annotated Wizard of Oz

Baum, an occultist who belonged to Helena Blavatsky’s Theosophical Society (Blavatsky, like Aleister Crowley, claimed that Satan was good), used his writings to promote Theosophical views of magic and the occult. Baum claimed that he had channeled the Wizard of Oz, “It was pure inspiration.... It came to me right out of the blue. I think that sometimes the Great Author has a message to get across and He has to use the instrument at hand. I happened to be that medium, and I believe the magic key was given me to open the doors to sympathy and understanding, joy, peace and happiness.” (Michael Patrick Hearn edition; The Annotated Wizard of Oz, New York: Clarkson N. Potter, 1973)

Baum’s channeled message doesn’t only teach children that there are “good” witches, but the message of Glinda (the “good” witch) to Dorothy was that she didn’t have to look outside herself for answers. “You've always had the power…” Glinda reveals to Dorothy. This, my friend, is basically the same message that is conveyed throughout the occult-based movies of our day, en masse, i.e., “We don’t need to turn to God; we already have the power within. We need only tap into this latent power through meditation, incantations, contemplative prayer, etc.”

[re: 'Christian' being a secularized term]

Right. I don't even think early Christians called themselves "Christian". Most church names (e.g., "Church of Christ") don't use that term either. It's a diluted term preferred more by atheists.

Ditto for the secularization of the term "flood", which is obviously reminiscent of the Great Flood. "Flood-waters" is a particularly silly secularization - does anyone think it might be anything other than water in natural disasters?

[On why he opposes same-sex marriage.]

It’s like in golf. A lot of people--I don’t want this to sound trivial--but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive. It’s weird. You see these great players with these really long putters, because they can’t sink three-footers anymore. And, I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist.

This as got to be a sad day in American history. Our beloved Man of Steel has decided he doesn't think the USA is exceptional anymore. He has decided he's going before the United Nations to renounce his US citizenship.

This is just one more step to a one world government. Now I have never been a follower of Superman comics, but I did enjoy the idea, movies, and games of Superman. His outfit is even red and blue. I will now be boycotting anything related to superman. I blame this on the liberal movement and socialist agenda of our current administration

Sad day...Lord please come soon. I don't know how much longer I can watch America fall.

Close allies of Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have been accused of using supernatural powers to further his policies amid an increasingly bitter power struggle between him and the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Several people said to be close to the president and his chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, have been arrested in recent days and charged with being "magicians" and invoking djinns (spirits).

Ayandeh, an Iranian news website, described one of the arrested men, Abbas Ghaffari, as "a man with special skills in metaphysics and connections with the unknown worlds".

Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) pleaded with lawmakers Wednesday to support his anti-abortion legislation.

“Someday I truly believe future generations of Americans will look back on us, especially policymakers, and wonder how and why such a rich and seemingly enlightened society, so blessed and endowed with the capacity to protect vulnerable human life could have insisted and instead aggressively promoted death to children and the exploitation of their moms,” he said in a speech on the House floor.

“They will note with deep sadness, some of our politicians, while they talked about human rights, never lifted a finger to protect the most persecuted minority in the world: the child in the womb.”

“Back and vote for H.R. 3, ‘The No Taxpayer Money for Abortion Act,’” he concluded.

(Michelle Bachmann asks God to anoint her upcoming bid for president)

Well I’ve let people know that in June I will be making that decision and quite literally I am asking your listeners now to please pray for me and my husband and my team. We’re in the process of planning an office decision; we’re putting our team together. Ask that the Lord will give us a special anointing on how to put our team together, who those team people will be, that He would bring those people to us. Because it won’t be easy, it will be a very, very difficult fight. But if this is something that the Lord has called us to, He will make a way where there is no way, and so we’re asking for that prayer.

Quote# 81147

It is said that, when a man dies, that part of him which is of this world returns to it, and that which is from the Lord, called 'soul,' returns to Him, or is banished from Him. Women show no evidence of having a soul, and so it follows that they cannot be banished, nor can they be exalted, after death. Like everything else that is of this world, they simply decompose, and so it should follow that women have no fear of Hell.

This belief is common in many ancient religions, and is still the belief of a sect of Islam in central Iraq.

Quote# 81139

A Texas high school teacher has been placed on administrative leave following an incident where he allegedly told a 9th grade Muslim girl in his algebra class "I bet that you're grieving" on Monday following the death of Osama bin Laden.

According to one parent at Clear Brook High School in Houston who spoke about the incident to a local ABC affiliate, the teacher also said, "I heard about your uncle's death."

The parent said the student "understood that he was referring about Osama bin Laden being killed and was racially profiling her."

The name of the alleged victim of the comment has not been released. She is being described as an "American-born girl of Muslim faith."

The teacher allegedly showed no remorse after Muslim girl reacted to his comments, according to the parent (who requested anonymity from the ABC station because "she doesn't want any retaliation against her daughter or the girl who experienced the inappropriate comment.")

"The student ended up crying over what was said to her by the teacher and the teacher asked her why she was crying and another student said it was because of what you said earlier," the parent told the station. "And his response was, oh, OK, and just kind of smirked and giggled and walked away."

Quote# 81130

The Almighty God made Noah’s Ark and its passengers survive the Biblical flood that killed all of the dinosaurs. The Biblical flood is why we have so many dinosaur fossils. Even the water dinosaurs it would seem needed to rest on land periodically and could not swim perpetually. When there was nowhere left for them to rest they died. Without a cataclysmic water event we would not have all of these fossils. (Get a book on fossilization and evolution.)

The science community says that all of the fossilization events happened at different times over hundreds of millions of years. They say part of their belief in evolution stems from different animals being in different strata. Less complex animals are in lower strata and more complex animals are in higher strata, with those in the highest strata being man and birds. Well… if there were a global flood who would get to high ground better? More complex animals would, and at the top would be man and birds. Scientist say the Biblical flood is illogical or unscientific. Do they watch the news? Do they see how easily many places are flooded after just one storm? Creatures that were exclusively sea creatures survived the flood. That is the reason that science shows that sea life is older than life on land.
The Biblical flood offers an explanation for fossilization; the strata that fossils are found in, in general; and for the fact that sea creatures are older than land creatures. There is even more science in the Biblical flood but that will be in later articles. Remember, an Almighty God, if He Exists, can do anything.

Quote# 81112

Begin casting out each evil spirit by calling it by its demonic name or function. (Command demons to manifest and leave in Jesus’ name.) Contrary to popular belief, demons do not have hearing impairments. The power that dislodges demons is only found in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:17), not in the volume of our voices.

Ending Deliverance…
We take authority over every remaining demon from the Strongman on down to the lowest ranking demon, power & form and bind you all in Jesus’ Name. By binding, we mean that you are not to torment, hurt of harass ________. We loose sufficient numbers of Warrior Angels to put each of you in boxes, cages or caves 500,000 times too small and seal each box, cage, or cave with the Blood of our King, the Lord Jesus Christ (Joshua 10:17).

Angels, gag each remaining demon so that no communication can go on between them or any others. Angels, in Jesus’ Name, we assign you to read Scriptures to these demons on the Blood of Jesus, the Cross, their torment in the Lake of Fire to come, and any other passages that they hate to hear (Psalm 59:10; Heb 1:14). We pray, Lord Jesus, that your glorious light shine through each box, cage, or cave so the demons will have no rest. It is written, “There shall be no rest for the wicked!”

We loose ministering angels of Life, Health, Healing and Restoration into areas of ________’s body or soul where the ejected demons have done damage. We cover each of our families, properties & possessions with the Blood of Jesus Christ, and loose Warrior and Ministering Angels to protect us from any and all satanic & demonic backlash. In Jesus’ Precious and Almighty name we pray. Amen.

Quote# 81103

While many world leaders praised the U.S. killing of Osama bin Laden, the president of Peru went a step further on Monday, calling the development the first miracle of Pope John Paul II since he was beatified last weekend.

“I have said that his first miracle has been to remove from the Earth this demonic incarnation of crime, evil and hatred,” Peruvian president Alan Garcia said, according to CNN affiliate America TV in Peru.

“And I think that’s great news that should please Mr. Obama,” Garcia went on, referring to the U.S. president. “In some way, it also vindicates (former) President George W. Bush who made the decision to punish bin Laden and to patiently continue this work that is finally bearing fruit.”

Pope John Paul II, who died in April 2005, was beatified in Rome on Sunday, hours before Obama announced that bin Laden had been killed in Pakistan by U.S. Special Forces.

Beatification is the last step before sainthood and requires someone to have performed one miracle after his or her death. Sainthood requires the church to confirm a second miracle.

[A FReeper says the "black genocide" campaign is self-righteous.]

Nearly 4000 Americans are slaughtered in abortuaries EACH DAY and nearly 1800 of them are black.

How, PRECISELY, is it "self-righteous" to point out that blacks are being exterminated at THREE TIMES the rate of white Americans?

You've flung a lot of baseless accusations on this thread, but you have yet to answer one damn question or give any evidence to back up what you believe.

My hunch is that you are opposed to abortion of those who you consider actual persons, but I'm not so sure you consider all of the 53 million victims of the American Holocaust to be persons.

Quote# 81042

Darwin applied in his "science " what already existed in spiritualist cults and Eastern voodooists?
Spiritism is evolutionary because it supports the idea that man gets better for many, many reincarnations and goes to the most advanced worlds...

Although just in only 100 years, Kardec Spiritism copied much of what already existed in Eastern religions, among them the reincarnation to pay for the mistakes and evolve.

The concept of evolution was not born with Darwin, but the occult, spiritualism and voodooists diabolic cults existing in the East.

Darwin just copied a lie called reincarnation and disguised as pseudo-science called evolution, he was a charlatan just like Kardec which also copied of the eastern voodoo the concept of evolution and called it karma, reincarnation, and other nonsense from the doctrines of demons.

Darwin only used itlike pseudoscientific theory, Evolutionism has never been scientifically proven until now. Separate specimens do not indicate that there was an escalation of evolution.

Reflect before believing blindly in the first nonsense that is disguised as philosophy, science or religion, spiritualism, evolution, voodoo, Gravity, seicho no ie, voodoo, Buddhism (Japanese voodoo), spiritualism (voodoo on the French, of chic and intellectual busybodies ...). It is all the doctrine of the devil, diabolism, pure work of deception of the father of lies!

Quote# 81021

It’s long past time to give up our nation-building efforts in Muslim countries. It won’t work, can’t work, and never will work. Islam makes the creation of a democracy an impossibility.

Islam is not about freedom, it is about heavy-handed and punitive control. Domination is at the heart of Islam, making the Muslim faith utterly incompatible with the Judeo-Christian values on which Western civilization has been built.

Freedom is in the DNA of Christianity, but tyranny is in the DNA of Islam.

Islam is grossly and permanently incompatible with the liberty we cherish in the West. And since tyranny is deep in the spirit of Islam, only the Spirit of God can root it out.

The Judeo-Christian tradition says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Cor. 3:17). That verse was found on the lips of virtually every patriot during the days when were were defending our newly proclaimed independence from the foreign aggression of the British. That Bible verse became an animating force in our quest to secure and preserve liberty. Individual liberty is in the heart and soul of Christianity.

Where there is the spirit of Christianity, you will find a hunger and thirst for freedom. Where the spirit of Christianity is absent, as it is in Muslim lands, you won’t. There is no “Spirit of the Lord” in Islam. The spirit that animates Islam is of a much darker sort.

Quote# 81005

The only thing that will give us a shot at building a democracy in an Islamic land is a mass conversion of its people to biblical Christianity. If we want to see freedom come to those darkened, benighted lands, we should be sending missionaries in, right after we send in the Marines to neutralize whatever threat has been raised against the United States.

If they don’t want our missionaries, fine. Their choice. We’ll take them and our Marines home, and let them know we’ll have no hesitation about returning with lethal force if they threaten us again. This time, Marines and missionaries. Next time, Marines and missiles.

The fundamental mistake Western politicians such as George W. Bush make is thinking that Islam is just like Christianity only different. They are so accustomed to an environment shaped by a Christian worldview, which prizes such things as individual liberty, freedom of conscience and religion and equality under the law that they assume that everybody wants those things.

That is a shallow, naive and fatal assumption to make. President Bush simplistically believed that there is a hunger for freedom in every human heart. Not so. There is a hunger for human freedom beating in the breast of Christianity, but the hunger beating in the breast of Islam is for the exact opposite of freedom, totalitarian control.

Quote# 81077

Now back to that communal shower. It’s no secret that men are generally much more susceptible to sexual arousal through visual stimuli than are most women. Many gays will deny that this is the case with them, but why then is the Internet saturated with gay porn? I don’t claim to be a Constitutional law scholar on a par with President Obama, but shouldn’t the overwhelmingly straight warriors who answer their county’s call be spared the indignity of showering with other men who achieve lascivious enjoyment from the sight of those lithe naked bodies, and who may be tempted to seek more than the view? They are, after all, guys. If a Constitutional right to privacy that guarantees access to abortionists can be summoned from thin air, certainly the prohibition against involuntary servitude should prevent unwilling heterosexual men from providing beefcake parades without their informed consent, at least penumbrally.

Quote# 81060

Satan's desire is to conform the world by deceiving as many as he can without detection. He has produced an abundant number of servants in Hollywood who are participating in his grand scheme of things without most people discerning it, who, like the false prophet in the book of Revelation, look like a lamb yet speak as a dragon. Many who grew up with Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie and Highway to Heaven will be shocked to learn that the main character associated with all of these shows was a spiritist who received his "moral" scripts from the sprit world. One, two or all three of his television programs can be viewed every single day. Millions and millions of people from two generations have seen his shows and have been affected by his vision. Before analyzing the facts let us start with the Biblical premise outlined in God's Word for detecting Satan's servants:

"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve." –2 Corinthians 11:13-16

Remember, Satan himself is an actor who portrays different personas with the utmost skill in order to mislead many. One of his tricks, according to the above verse, entails presenting a skewed righteousness. Satan will support "religion" and "morality" if it will keep people from discovering the only true saving grace found through Jesus Christ. All the morality in the world will not save a sinner who has not been pardoned from his sin.

This is precisely what Landon portrayed to his audiences and the people ate it up. What he was feeding them however was candy laced with messages from the demonic realm whose tentacles we have seen spread throughout the Hollywood industry. Those who knew Landon claimed he had supernatural abilities that are common to occultists, and that these powers allowed him influence over others.
