Quote# 83672

There was an article in The Joplin Globe this past month regarding a female artist who enjoyed tennis so much that she inserted tennis balls in a fanciful manner into her own paintings of classical art.

I would strongly urge her, and anyone else, not to insert anything to destroy or distort the integrity of any Christian religious painting.

To me, this is sacrilegious, irreverent and makes a mockery of God our creator, sustainer and redeemer.

I agree it is better to marry than burn with lust...You are 26...way past time to get hitched IMO. Our culture puts it off way too long IMHO. The average guy is not wired to wait that long. Paul told us exactly how to deal with this problem. Get married. Make sure you are good friends and have lots in common with the woman you plan to ask. Of course it is a given she must know the Lord as her savior too.

Quote# 83648

Now, many (especially the atheists), may ask "Why do this, what's the purpose?" Duhhh, Mr. Atheist for the same purpose many States put the names and photos of convicted sex offenders and other ex-felons on the I-Net - to INFORM the public! I mean, in the City of Miramar, Florida, where I live, the population is approx. 109,000. My family and I would sure like to know how many of those 109,000 are ADMITTED atheists! Perhaps we may actually know some. In which case we could begin to witness to them and warn them of the dangers of atheism. Or perhaps they are radical atheists, whose hearts are as hard as Pharaoh's, in that case, if they are business owners, we would encourage all our Christian friends, as well as the various churches and their congregations NOT to patronize them as we would only be "feeding" Satan.

Frankly, I don't see why anyone would oppose this idea - including the atheists themselves (unless of course, they're actually ashamed of their atheist religion, and would prefer to stay in the 'closet.').

Now, off topic. How did food happen to evolve at the same time man did? And, why doesn't food change, after these millions of years to something not food so it won't get destroyed every day by hungry people and animals? Natural selection doesn't seem to handle that too well.

I have had homosexuals engage in PDA right in front of me as a way to harass me. Often on the subway where I cannot escape. They see my collar and immediately begin to drool over each other. No one is more bigoted then a practicing homosexual. Believe me, they want to influence your children. Next up will be legal "intergenerational" relationships. Just give them another 20 years, if that. Fr. J

[Rapture Read is trying to understand why zombies are popular on the internet]

I think if the graves are opened via the rapture, the zombie apocalypse may be the "answer" given by the govt. wierd. I always thought that the delusion would be far more sophisticated - elaborate. Could it really be this stupid?

Registering [the poor] to vote is like handing out burglary tools to criminals. It is profoundly antisocial and un-American to empower the nonproductive segments of the population to destroy the country -- which is precisely why Barack Obama zealously supports registering welfare recipients to vote.

Quote# 83610

Okay, if dominionism means spreading morality and Christ's Teachings I fess up.... I'm all for Dominionism. We are supposed to have freedom of religion and not freedom from religion as most Lefties ascribe to and have imposed on the public in our culture.

Are there going to be any atheists or secularists and liberals left in Congress if Perry or Bachmann should happen to win the presidency? According to the Constitution the people have a right to elect their representatives so this over hyped article on "dominionism" is a total exaggeration of their choosing to have Christian people assist them in the WH. Should Obama have all commies/liberals and sexual perverts like Kevin Jennings assisting him? Is Obama and his cronies committing the ultimate commie dominionism over the people now? Oh yeah.

If you’re an Atheist, your life might be worthless. Indeed you will be going to Hell. I honestly don’t fucking care anymore. Neither does Jesus. We’re both the same. I’m on his lifeboat. You’re on the Titanic!

When I’m on the decks of Heaven sipping a cocktail I will not even pour a drop of Martini down to cool your tongue because I know you’d just spit it back into an unborn baby’s eye.

Quote# 83570

Nearly half of Muslims in the US say that they think of themselves first as Muslims rather than Americans. Now that's a problem. It's not a problem when a Christian says that. For the Christian to say "I am a Christian first and an American second," that's what we all ought to say. Our ultimate allegiance is not to country, not to the Constitution, it's to God and the the Scripture. If you have to make a choice between the two, we must obey God rather than man.

But when a Christan says "I'm a Christian first and an American second," the fact that he is a Christian first, he's got devotion and allegiance to Jesus Christ means he's going to be a better American. He's going to be an asset to his country, he's going to love his country, he's going to become more fervent in his patriotism. His love for his country and for its traditions are going to deepen because those traditions are rooted in the soil of the Judeo-Christian tradition.

Now if you have a Muslim, on the other hand, that says that - "I am a Muslim first and an American second" - look out! Because that indicates his ultimate devotion is to the Quran, it's to Allah, it's to Muhammad. It's not to Jesus Christ, it's not to the Judeo-Christian tradition, it is not to American values and American tradition and American history and American heroes - it is to Allah and Allah tells him to slay the idolaters wherever you find them.

So the more devout a Muslim gets, the more of a threat he becomes to America's nation security.

(Michelle Bachmann God quote)

Awww....she stirring up the pot because they think it's "hate speech". Someday soon--when our King reigns, all traces of liberalism will be destroyed. You won't even have to try to define "conservativism" or "Christianity" because EVERYBODY will know exactly what it means to be both, as everybody will be both.

People like Mims are the pseudo scientists, because when they say something it cannot be wrong, even when it turns out to be wrong. I read his article that the Global Warming fruitcakes have no argument so they use a software puppet. One would expect no less.

Calling those who do not agree with you names like "crackpots" is not exactly the way to convince skeptics that the "Warmers" aren't just a bunch petty demagogues. If the "Warmers" have nothing to hide, then why are they hiding things?

Quote# 83541

I am a Catholic stay-at-home mother of seven, and I live in the state of Massachusetts where "gay marriage" has been legal for seven years and it's just one aspect of the larger secular agenda. Because we have so many little children, it takes a phenomenal effort to go anywhere. We have only filled our truck with gasoline twice this entire summer vacation. We go to Mass and we go two miles up the road to a small outdoor swimming pool. That's pretty much it.

At the pool this summer there were homosexual couples with children and, while I was polite as my own young daughters doted on the baby with two "mommies", I also held my breath in anticipation of awkward questions - questions I'm not ready to answer. My young daughters are all under the age of eight and they are not old enough to understand why a baby would have two women calling themselves "mommies".

When there were two men relaxing at the side of the pool unnaturally close to each other, effeminately rubbing elbows and exchanging doe-eyes, I was again anxiously watching my children hoping they wouldn't ask questions. They don't see Daddy do that with anyone but Mommy. We haven't been back to the pool for a couple of weeks, except once but it rained. The truth is, now I don't really want to go back.

So what am I harping about?

Today we decided to go to the park. We live near a nice park that is safe, clean and quiet. Two of my daughters were in the sandbox, one on the slide, the other on the swings, and as I lifted the baby out of his stroller I looked up to see four women laughing at a baby boy as he was swinging in one of those bucket baby swings. That seems harmless enough, but I'm so sensitized to the strangeness in my community that I've developed this ever-present jumpiness whenever I'm in public. Sure enough, two of the women, so happy to see a baby boy laughing, embraced and remained standing there rubbing each other's back in a way that was clearly not just friendly affection.

This is my community. I find myself unable to even leave the house anymore without worrying about what in tarnation we are going to encounter. We are responsible citizens. We live by the rules, we pay our taxes, we take care of our things. I'm supposed to be able to influence what goes on in my community, and as a voter I do exercise that right. But I'm outnumbered. I can't even go to normal places without having to sit silently and tolerate immorality. We all know what would happen if I asked two men or two women to stop displaying, right in front of me and my children, that they live in sodomy.

Quote# 83539

You had a picture of buttons with sayings on them......
One said........Pro-family, pro-children, pro-choice.

This is laughable. You can't be pro-choice and say that you are pro-children. The fact that you are a pro-abort...based on choice....says that you want abortion LEGAL SO THAT SOME WOMEN HAVE THE CHOICE TO KILL.

You are not pro-life...pro-children.....you are pro-abortion.

It is sad to know to think that you would be pro-abortion even until natural delivery. So so sad. You say no woman should be forced to go through a pregnancy that she does not want to continue....this would also mean you would condone a late term abortion. I mean playin devils adovacate here....you would not want to enslave someone who does not want to be pregnant...right? It would be hypocritical to say your pro-choice and deny any woman the right to kill......throughout the entire nine months.
How sad, especially because you say you are a Christian.

Would you mind showing me scripture and making Gods case for abortion.

Lots of new movies are about Zombies and pestilence. I just don't get why people are discussing zombies everywhere on the net? Even the Govt. has a Zombie prepardness alert. No kidding.

As I was reading different message boards about how people are preparing for this Zombie Apocolypse, I kept seeing "Z-DAY" pop up everywhere. I googled Z-DAY and there are 2 billion seven hundred fifty thousand websites!! Zombie Day.

You know, I think there just may be some crazy connection to the rapture here. The dead in Christ shall rise.

Good grief, are we that close that the delusion is already hear?

"I don't know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We've had an earthquake; we've had a hurricane. He said, 'Are you going to start listening to me here?' Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we've got to rein in the spending."
