Quote# 90932

There is no justification for the State of Gaza being able to shoot at our towns with impunity. We need to flatten entire neighborhoods in Gaza. Flatten all of Gaza. The Americans didn’t stop with Hiroshima – the Japanese weren’t surrendering fast enough, so they hit Nagasaki, too.

There should be no electricity in Gaza, no gasoline or moving vehicles, nothing. Then they’d really call for a ceasefire.

Were this to happen, the images from Gaza might be unpleasant – but victory would be swift, and the lives of our soldiers and civilians spared.

Quote# 90919

BARNESVILLE, Minn. – If you want to be a Catholic, you have to be 100 percent Catholic.

That’s the lesson one family here learned after their 17-year-old son was denied confirmation after the priest at the Assumption Church here found a pro same-sex marriage post on the teen’s Facebook.

The decision by the Rev. Gary LaMoine to deny the religious rite of passage for Lennon Cihak in mid-October shocked his mother, who said her son has gone to church every week and volunteered around the community in preparation for his confirmation this year.

“You kind of know the Catholic beliefs, but I never thought they would deny somebody confirmation because you weren’t 100 percent. I guess that’s what shocks me,” Shana Cihak said.

The Facebook post in question was a photo of Lennon in front of an altered political sign. Originally reading “Vote Yes” on the Minnesota Marriage Amendment, which would have changed the state’s constitution to define marriage as between one man and one woman, Lennon scribbled out the “yes” and replaced it with “NO!”

Shana, who said she was confirmed at the same church, was called into a private conversation with the priest soon after the photo was discovered and was told her son wouldn’t be allowed to complete confirmation.

Then there's the matter of female suffrage. I really don't see how suggesting women should not have been granted the right to vote is misogyny. It might be motivated by it, but not necessarily so, and treating it as such is akin to criminalizing holocaust denial: it's censorship, pure and simple, and if /r/MR wants to keep calling itself an open space where ideas are not silenced, that attitude has to change. I'll corroborate my claim with the writings of Laura Grace Robins, whose blog contains a whole category devoted to women's suffrage and how it has negatively impacted society. Whether or not you agree with her stance, you cannot claim it arises from hatred of women.

[Concerning God's order to exterminate the Amalekites.]

Their descendants were just as bad Wayne. They were as corrupted as their ancestors.

"Even the little babies? Do you really subscribe to the idea that sin is inherited by generations of people?"

I have never said babies are evil, but they certainly are sliding down the side of the hill that has "sinner" on it.

What do babies do when they are young? They take everything and think it belongs to them. They scream to get their way, they cry for attention etc etc etc.

When a child is taught about God, then they settle down and stop doing bad things. So, children are not perfect angels right out of the womb.

This is EXACTLY what we would expect to see if sin is inherited and passed down from Adam & Eve.

Quote# 90903

[But go ahead, tell us what sort of beliefs can't be "proven" by science.]

Physics. Forces. Strong nuclear. Weak nuclear. Gravity. Magnetic.

There is force which I call “soul” that can be proven to exist by scientific method. Take a rock and drop it. Physics can predict quite accurately exactly what will happen to the rock.

The rock will obey gravity, land on the floor and remain there until……………

Until what?

Until I walk over and pick it up. I can lift the rock using my own free will/volition.

Physics cannot predict when or EVEN IF I will pick up the rock.

Physics has no name for the unpredictable and VERY REAL force acting upon the matter of my shoulder, my arm, my hand, the rock in the EXACT OPPOSITE DIRECTION of gravity.

It is not hormones – hormones are matter.
It is not brain – brain cells are matter. Matter has no free will.

So what exactly is the name of the force (which acts in a way science cannot predict) that lifts the rock doing the opposite of what gravity intended?

Quote# 90901

Altruism, on the contrary, requires each individual to live for the sake of the group, trusting that his or her own needs will be provided for. Altruism typically holds that individual fulfillment occurs through service to others; most religions openly state this, and it is a driving force in socialism and communism, too. Altruism places the survival of the group ahead of the survival of any individual, and this is what enables the repression and slaughter common to extremely altruistic societies. Stalin is generally regarded to have had killed more people than Hitler, and both did it in the name of the group.
The danger of altruism is less obvious in freer countries like the United States, but it is still a powerful force that is a frequent justification for restricting individual rights. It is very typical for city councils to regulate, to a very fine degree, the uses that may be made of every piece of property in the city, all in the name of protecting the citizens. Because altruism puts the group first, it is much easier to pass restrictive laws, and this results in "creeping regulation," where the government passes progressively more intrusive legislation to protect "society." Many environmental laws have altruism as their base justification: they restrict our enjoyment of the earth so that future generations will receive the same planet as we do.

Quote# 90898

[Discussing God and the problem of evil.]

In an atheistic world, it would not matter if we went around killing each other because the species would still exist just fine!

To see how this is true, just observe other species who kill members of their own.

You are essentially arguing that humans are special, which is a theistic argument, which means the problem of evil is refuted.

[...]

We do not live in an atheistic world. We live in a theistic world.

If we lived in an atheistic world, you would see us running around in anarchy.

The mere fact that we have order and laws means that the theists automatically start out with a +1 in the debate.

[...]

This is a very tired argument.

It is my belief that the atheists do not kill or rape "just in case" God is real. They want to have some kind of leg to stand on if the judgement day occurs.

Quote# 90897

[Linda Harvey's letter to gay-friendly companies]

Dear [name of company]: I am writing to you as a [former or potential] customer, to tell you why I will not be doing business with you, purchasing your products or services, nor speaking well of you to my family and friends. You are highly-rated by the "Human Rights Campaign" as a company supportive of many aspects of the homosexual activist agenda.

I am hoping you have done this out of ignorance about the true nature of both homosexuality and the goals of aggressive homosexual advocacy, such as that promoted by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).

In businesses that welcome homosexual and transgender people, workers who don't agree with these lifestyles often feel unwelcome and increasingly, encounter a hostile work environment. Some of these workers have been sued on trumped -up charges of "discrimination," just for politely expressing these values, even in their own private lives and on their own time!

In short, these are not my values. I think homosexual activism is doing harm to America. My values are to be kind to everyone, but not to condone or encourage immoral and high-risk lifestyles. By your company's support of homosexual behavior, which is changeable and unnecessary, you have insulted my family and my principles.

I do hope your executive decision-makers will at some point, see the truth and reject this conduct, but in the meantime, I am afraid we cannot patronize your business in any way, and for the present, I am going to recommend to family and friends that they also take their business elsewhere.

(Regarding the woman in Ireland who died when a hospital refused to provide her with an emergency abortion)

We need a special law for this - after all one person out of 7 billion died that certainly is a justification for 50 million abortions. Since she was Indian, if the baby was a girl it should have been aborted just like in India where girl babies are murdered by the 10's of millions.

What is 10 million murdered babies compared with one woman's life? There are only 7 billion people on earth, we need to make a huge deal out of one death. Because we are stupid liberals unable to understand mathematics, or to compare things of different scales. We can't distinguish between 50 million babies murdered, many of them for the "crime" of being female, and one person dying in a hospital when sick. We liberals pride ourselves on ignoring mathematics, rational thinking, and science. We make decisions by emotions and hysteria.

Quote# 90886

Meat-eaters "easily cheat, lie, forget promises and commit sex crimes", according to a controversial school textbook available in India.

New Healthway, a book on hygiene and health aimed at 11 and 12 year-olds, is printed by one of India's leading publishers.

Academics have urged the government to exercise greater control.

But the authorities say schools should monitor content as they are responsible for the choice of textbooks.

"This is poisonous for children," Janaki Rajan of the Faculty of Education at Jamia Millia University in Delhi told the BBC.

"The government has the power to take action, but they are washing their hands of it," she said.

It is not known which Indian schools have bought the book for their students, but correspondents say what is worrying is that such a book is available to students.

"The strongest argument that meat is not essential food is the fact that the Creator of this Universe did not include meat in the original diet for Adam and Eve. He gave them fruits, nuts and vegetables," reads a chapter entitled Do We Need Flesh Food?

The chapter details the "benefits" of a vegetarian diet and goes on to list "some of the characteristics" found among non-vegetarians.

"They easily cheat, tell lies, forget promises, they are dishonest and tell bad words, steal, fight and turn to violence and commit sex crimes," it says.

The chapter, full of factual inaccuracies, refers to Eskimos (Inuit) as "lazy, sluggish and short-lived", because they live on "a diet largely of meat".

It adds: "The Arabs who helped in constructing the Suez Canal lived on wheat and dates and were superior to the beef-fed Englishmen engaged in the same work."

Quote# 90877

Many early Christians practiced sungazing. It's a form of breatharianism or inedia (extreme fasting), where you fully abstain from eating or drinking. There are many Christians who believe Adam and Eve were originally breathatarians and sungazers (there was no meat before the fall).

Ratan Manek achieved no eating or drinking for 211 days via sungazing. Nicholas of Flue, the patron saint of Switzerland achieved fasting for 19 years. There are other accounts of where people have survived for very long periods without eating or drinking because of sungazing. Sungazing is not only apart of eastern teaching, but is something everyone was originally doing. How it was done however became lost like most other ancient knowledge. If you look up the accounts of Christian mystics who lived for tens of years without eating or drinking. How did they do it? They did it through the sun.

Quote# 90875

Religious oppression and persecution associated with legalized same-sex "marriage" (SSM) is already underway, and will only increase. Maryland, Maine and Washington state voters affirmed SSM on Election Day. Minnesota rejected a traditional marriage amendment and legislators are acting swiftly to legalize SSM there. Nine states - MD, ME and WA, plus CT, IA, MA, NH, NY, VT and Washington, DC, now allow SSM. While their laws masquerade as religion friendly (pastors are exempted from any requirement to perform same-sex "marriages"), Christian judges and justices of the peace are not exempted. Nor are Christian clerks who must issue "marriage" licenses; notaries who must notarize legal documents, photographers, florists, bakers, wedding venue operators, marriage counselors, lawyers, homeowners who wish to rent out their homes - all of whom will be required to accept, honor and serve same-sex "married" couples without objection - or face lawsuits and fines.

And what about churches? What will your church do when a "married" same-sex couple demands recognition? Have your pastor and church prepared you for such an eventuality? Will you stand on biblical truth? How about you and your family, when your child comes home from school talking about what he or she is being taught? If you as a business owner or employee are told to be complicit in supporting a same-sex "marriage," will you stand for your faith and close your business or ministry, or lose your job? Catholic Charities in Massachusetts closed their 100+ year old adoption ministry rather than comply with the law requiring them to place adoptive children with homosexual couples. These laws are splitting homes, churches, denominations and America, but the worst is ahead. Each of us must decide whether we will obey God or man (Acts 5:29).

Quote# 90871

Evo scientists contend that life began 3.8 billion years ago possibly around vents in the bottom of earth's oceans. According to this theory, life began when the first replicating molecules and cells appeared in or aroud these vents. Accordingly, this process is not now going on. It was an anomoly--a one time event?

If the previous conclusion is true, curent cells in all life forms (including humans) must contain unscathed copies of this original genetic material--a copy of a copy duplicated for 3.8 billion years (that's what constitutes life) . Incredible.

The human begins with one cell. At maturity the human body consists of 100 trillion cells. Moreover, the 100 trillion cells are replaced totally every ten years--with some cells living longer than others. When someone is 50 years old there have been over 500 trillion copies of their orginal one cell.

One theory of the cause of death says that copying errors occurring in cells eventually (genetic entropy) causes death.

3.8 billion years of genetic entropy would most assuredly have doomed life by now!

That leads to the conclusion that life on earth hasn't been here that long.

Quote# 90870

I think it is important to note that there is absolutely nothing that being gay adds to society. Homosexuality and lesbianism has absolutely no positive affect on any society in which you find such activity.

You may attempt to say; “but there are many homosexuals and lesbians that have added greatly to society in the areas of art, science, and humanitarian pursuits (etc…) and I'd agree, BUT this isn’t BECAUSE they were homosexuals or lesbians, rather because they were PEOPLE.

In fact, the act that gives homosexuals and lesbians their title doesn’t even add to society; rather, it stunts society. The sexual proclivities that drive homosexuals and lesbians, does not, and cannot ever, result in procreation. In fact, in order for the homosexuals and lesbians to procreate, they must act (hypocritically) against that which they call their “nature”. But, biologically, their sexual proclivities act anathema to biological nature.

Another thing to ponder, is this: I will be called a “bigot” for making the above statements (which begs further questions because the definition for "bigot" relates to race not sexual prefrence), or I will be labeled “intolerant” for making the above statements (which begs further questions such as "isn't the hetreophobe being "intolerant" of my opinions?). But when one comes to the crux of the matter, all I have done is stated facts….

HIV does not, in fact, exist. The so-called human immunodeficiency virus, HIV, is only an "externalization", to absolve the AIDS patient of responsibility for his/her disease.

Anyone doubting this should consider that HIV has never even been isolated. This simple and amazing fact in itself should make everyone suspicious about the entire AIDS industry.

When someone "tests positive" for HIV, they actually test positive for reverse transcriptase enzyme activity which is assumed to indicate the presence of HIV in the patient. There is in fact a total lack of evidence for the existence of HIV.

At the time, everyone was in a mad rush to find the "cause" of AIDS. Those who came up with something first would be assured of endless research funds, fame etc. The h*mosexual lobby seized on the first announcement to claim a viral cause, since then it would no longer be their own fault. It's always easier to blame a "virus" than one's own misbehavior.

Quote# 90858

The ACLU has filed a lawsuit to force a Utah school district to keep a lesbian advocacy book on elementary school library shelves.
ACLU = The American Communist Lovers Union.

In the Davis School District in Utah, children as young as kindergarten age can check out a homosexual propaganda book called In My Mothers’ House, about three adopted kids and their lesbian “mothers,”

Can they check out Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Rielly, Sean Hannity or David Limbaugh's books?

In Our Mothers’ House was added to libraries in five of the district’s 50 elementary schools after administrators learned that a Windridge Elementary student was being raised by lesbians.

My Condolences to the kid!!

A seven-member parent-teacher committee decided that the book would remain in library collections, but should be kept behind the counter instead of on the shelves.

Behind the counter like all ADULT BOOKS should be.

The legal director for the ACLU’s Utah chapter told Reuters that Weber read the story together with her 6-year-old daughter.

Warning, Ms Weber is raising her daughter (or is it her gf daughter?) to become a LESBIAN

Tina Weber said in a statement that, while other parents have the right to limit what their children read, they should not have any influence over what library books are available to others.

hey, DUMBA$$, a 6 y/o doesn't need to know about your IMMORAL LIFESTYLE!!!

“I don’t believe it’s for anybody else to tell me how to raise my family,” Weber said. “I would just hope to see the book get back on the shelf so all children have access to it.”

Translation: 'I don't care if I live IMMORALLY and I want all public school kindergarteners to have access to this WONDERFUL IMMORAL LIFESTYLE without their parents -- who needs a male anyway -- permission!!'

Davis School District spokesperson Chris Williams told Reuters that the district stands behind its decision to require students to have parental permission to check out the book.

Chris Williams, you are an ENABLER to the IMMORAL HOMOSEXUAL COMMUNITY!! You should tell that IMMORAL PERSON that the book will be sent to the dump.

What is happening to UTAH??

[Re:ACLU sues to force elementary (school) libraries to display lesbian advocacy book]

Easy solution:

1. Place book on shelf.
2. When no one is looking, have some remove the book, bring it to an appropriate place, take a bodacious Obama on it, then burn it.
3. If ACLU objects, tell them to hire someone to watch the book at all times.
4. When The ACLU Obamahole has to take a bodacious Obama and goes to the Obamaroom, go to step 2.

When I was around 20 years old (yeah-old enough to know better) some girls I knew came to my apartment with one. The first girl I knew from kindergarden. She said she had been speaking with John Belushi's spirit on her board and wanted to show all of us. I told her sure, go ahead, I didn't care at the time. When she started putting salt in a huge circle around it, lighting candles and everyone put their hands on the thing and she started "talking". I couldn't believe the thing was spelling out things and asked from the other side of the room what my grandmother's middle name was? (no one at the party knew my grandmother at all) and the stupid thing spelled it out! ("Agnes", which is an unusual name I know, thats why I chose it) The thing you put your hands on, flew across the room. All sorts of bad things began to happen around the house and with each of the people playing that night. All I can say is that it brought me closer to Jesus from all the praying I was doing.

These things are crazy, and they shouldn't be marketed for kids. or anyone for that matter.

(oh and I found out later that the girl was a heroin addict, and so was John Belushi. So maybe that is why she thinks it was him? I dont know but it was very odd.......)

Quote# 90844

I personally hate Christianity for what it has done to our people. Many Christian establishments have been taken over by the liberal middle class. You never see a poor Vicar and even to this day the collection bowl keeps rattling. Its also the fact that Christianity is a sand religion used to enslave and steal from the poor. I really couldn't care less if every church in England was flattened. Although some are stunning, they are nothing more than beacons of Eastern dominance over our folk and land. Many being built on ancient pre-Christian places of worship.

Its the people that make a religion and so I believe personally we need a new folk religion to bring us inline. One for the English by the English with England and its people at the fore. A warrior religion to help us survive in the coming years. Christianity is to soft and fearmongering. We must not fear our foes and stop bending over begging for forgiveness. Its time to hold our heads high and make our enemies beg us for mercy.

We should also not be forced to fear death or fear making mistakes which may lead to us going to 'Hell'. Its keeping people back from having the spirit and balls to fight. Christianity has become way to hippyfied to survive in this day and age. If the Church was to introduce Warrior arts to its practitioners and teach folk personal protection without fearing death then it may survive.

The biggest fear I have for Christianity is it will join Islam through being dominated. Remember - both the religions are Abrahamic. Its just that Islam is a more extreme version of Christianity.

Given the incestuous nature of gay communities, it's just a matter of time before these half-siblings begin to have children with each other. The damage to the human gene pool will be immeasurable.

Of course the opposition doesn't care one whit as long as they get their pseudo-marriage. Many of them hate themselves and the society into which they were born. Anything resembling normal is an enemy.
