I received an e-mail from a teenager who wanted my opinion about a class he was considering taking in high school. The course was a psychology class. His mother really wanted him to take the class. He said he thought the class might be interesting, but wasn't sure of it was ok Biblically to participate in the class. I e-mailed him back and advised him NOT to take the class unless the Bible was going to be the source textbook. I explained to him that the class would be based upon humanism and worldly philosophies, NOT upon the Word of God. It's never ok to allow our young people to be brainwashed by the devil.
It's ok for a young man to go to trade school to learn a skill, but going to a heathen university is wrong because his mind WILL be influenced by worldly philosophies. Likewise, holistic health is based upon occult principles, homeopathic medicine certainly is NOT. A clear distinction needs to be made between the two. Going to a homeopathic doctor for a natural remedy is not only acceptable, but preferable.

Safalta Kartik, a visually impaired woman from Jabalpur, is on the verge of becoming a teacher after completing her final B.Ed exams – an achievement carved out through years of struggle against disability, poverty, and indifference.

But last Saturday at the Prince of Peace Church in Jabalpur’s Kattanga area, Safalta was allegedly abused verbally, manhandled, and publicly humiliated by Anju Bhargav, the BJP’s district vice president, while attending a Christmas lunch with around 200 visually impaired students from the government-run Andhmukh School. Bhargav allegedly went so far as to say Safalta should be born blind even in her next life.

Safalta went to the church along with her eight-year-old niece. She recalled, “We went there, listened to some songs and were sitting peacefully when suddenly I started hearing loud noises. My niece was sitting next to me when a woman approached her, held her hand and asked why she had come there.”

Safalta intervened immediately. She said, “I told her to talk to me, not to the child." That, Safalta alleged, triggered a volley of abuses.

“The woman started shouting at me, saying, 'Despite wearing sindoor, you have come to a church to convert. You seem to be into prostitution, and you have brought this child here for that’,” alleged Safalta. “She told me I was blind in this birth because of my past deeds and that I would be born blind again in my next life for coming to a church.”

When Safalta asked her to stop misbehaving, the woman allegedly turned violent. “She tried to grab my hand. I held hers to stop her, but she kept abusing me. Then she grabbed my mouth while shouting. I tried to push her hand away. Only then did someone intervene and stop it,” claimed Safalta.

It is a shame that women today no longer want to be mothers and homekeepers as the Bible teaches. The woman is to guide the house, that is, everything that involves the care of her husband, herself and her children. We receive an excellent description of what a mother and wife should strive to attain to in Proverbs 31. Few women can claim likeness to the loyal, virtuous, godly, diligent, hard-working, honest, trustworthy, caring and admirable woman in Proverbs 31. She is worth more than fine gold and rubies (diamonds) according to Proverbs 31:10.
The word “guide” in 1st Timothy 5:14 is the Greek Word oikodespoteo and means “to be the head of (that is, rule) the house.” Notice that the Bible says the man is the head of the wife, not the house. The husband and wife have DIFFERENT roles. The wicked world refuses to recognize this Biblical truth. Instead, the unsaved, heathen world has women entering into the military, politics and the corporate world. The Bible says in 1st Timothy 5:15 that they are turned aside after Satan. To choose a career over motherhood is to turn aside after Satan instead of fulfilling God's will for your life ladies. The choice is yours alone to make. What will it be, money or motherhood? You cannot serve both mammon (wealth) and God. Titus 2:4-5 teaches that women are to be “obedient to their own husbands.” A women who disobeys her husband is blaspheming the Bible. Most people disregard the Bible, rejecting it as man's final authority in all matters of life, faith and morals. Women who file for divorce do not love their husband and are blaspheming the Word of God. The word “discreet” in Titus 2:4-5 means “safe in mind, that is, self-controlled (moderate as to opinion or passion).” Women today are reckless, going from one relationship to another. The Lord gave us His commandments to instruct us how to live, how to treat each other and how to please Him. Most people don't believe the Bible.
