Quote# 700

I think freedom of religion is important but Satanism and even WIccanism could be stopped under protecting the safety of others.

I want to see a law suit to remove Madelyn Murray O'Hare's name and her story from all public school text books. It offends me and slanders my religious beliefs.

Quote# 697

The time is abouit right for a counter attack. We need to bring suit against those who are trying to destroy our national heritage. The opponents are really practicing "their" brand of religion against us when they say we should remove the sayings and practices that we hold dear. Their religion is a faith based belief that there is no God. I say faith based because it is their "belief" since they cannot prove their assumption. Take them to court and sue for religious discrimination on their part.

Quote# 696

[On the gospels being unreliable evidence]

Lets assume there were no biblical accounts of the resurrection in the bible. How many people do you think would still be Christians? I guess it sounds like evidence after all.

Quote# 695

It is telling that if one compares the DNA of a human, a cow and a kangaroo one finds that the human DNA is more similar to the kangaroo (a marsupial, of course) than the cow (a fellow mammal). Why is this?

My original point was purely that the belief the theory of evolution is based on is excactly the same belief that the ancient Egyptians and Greeks shared, namely that the Universe and the first goddess formed themselves and all the gods were descendants of her

Quote# 692

[After being asked why George W. Bush was elected]

Because we have a loving God who ultimately decided that election, and gave us a godly leader. He knew what our country would be facing after Sept. 11th, and gave us a leader who would be strong and fight for what's right.

[Exorcism advice!]

Get a group of strong Christians to physically surround her and pray for hours. They should tell the demon to get out of her body, it is not welcome. In Jesus' name.

I disagree with all of you. She is showing classic signs of demonic posession, and NOT schizphrenia or anything of the sorts:

-She condemned God (generally very spiritual and close to God)

-She had rational conversations with others and seemed more inllegent than normal.

[On atheist parody webpages]

They will find out just how much God exists at the great white throne judgement when they are standing before God answering for their sins and rebellion. Then they won't think their humor is so funny.

Projilly, the people that weren't at WTC on September 11 had "Christian" written next to their description for their job application. It wasn't Godless sinners that died during Sept. 11. However, the only people that lived were the ones that extended a hand to Jesus saying 'Help me here!'

Quote# 686

This problem indeed does not lie with the atheists to disprove God, because he can't be disproved by any idea you guys come up with. The proof he IS there is out there today. Take September 11. About an estimated 50,000 people work there daily. On September 11, an estimated 45,000 people were NOT there because they were sick, at a church meeting, getting doughnuts, etc., and a majority of these people were born again Christians. Coincedence?

Quote# 684

[Trying to reconcile 'free' will and omniscience with the finest logic available]

Juliod, think about this. If God knew that you were going to have pancakes, that means that you, on your own free will, would chose pancakes over waffles. If God knew, you would have zero chance of eating waffles, because your free will would not lead you to having waffles. Think about that.

Quote# 683

[After being pointed to scripture that's interpreted as meaning you can have recreational sex as long as you're married]

I have a few things to say concerning this scripture. First, do this passages have to be referring to intercourse? Being satisfied by your wife's breasts and embracing a spouse's bosom does not sound like intercourse to me.

Quote# 682

I was wondering where in the Bible it says that we, as Christians, are allowed to, and even possibly required to, have sex with our spouse for fun and not simply for procreation. Which passages of scripture state that we are allowed to have intercourse for the sole purpose of recreation as opposed to having intercourse solely to create a new life?

Quote# 680

[On the Genesis creation account]

When god says 6 days he means 6 days, and I don't ignore any true scientific evidence, yes the Bible is the first authority, but true scientific evidence fits it.

In any case, any "evidence" can be twisted to fit one's bias, so its a mute point to debate evidence.
