{{NASA recently announced an expansion of its near-Earth asteroid survey program, and described plans to deflect any dangerously large objects that would otherwise hit the Earth. Hearing about this, Steven Sherman wrote:}}

Asteroids in Bible Prophecy Reveal End Times and the Rapture

Since End Time Bible Prophecy Reveals that Asteroids are a Sign that Precedes the Rapture, Can NASA Really Protect Us from a Dangerous Asteroid Strike?

Although John Holdren, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy claims that NASA will play a leading part in protecting the United States and the world from the threat of a dangerous asteroid strike, the Bible clearly reveals that asteroids are one of the end time signs that precede the Rapture.

According to Matthew 24:29, one of the signs in the heavens that will take place after the tribulation is that asteroids will fall to earth.

During the judgement of Noah’s day, all the springs of the great deep burst forth. Just as the waters beneath the earth were held in reserve as an outpouring of God’s judgement, so the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter is held in reserve awaiting the outpouring of the final plagues of Revelation.

Jesus replied to his disciples’ inquiry concerning the sign of his second coming and the end of the evil world system by telling of the signs of his return. After the time of great persecution commonly known as the Great Tribulation, the signs in the heavens will include asteroids falling from the sky. After those signs, God’s elect will meet the Lord in the air as they are captured out at the Rapture.

My years have taught me that the litmus test of a REAL Christian is marriage and birth control. Real Christians stay married till death and have as many children as God sends. They don't use birth control. If I see a person who calls themselves Christian and is divorced and remarried, I know that they are hypocrites. If I see a couple with no children because they use birth control, I know they have not God's Grace.

How many Christians like that do you know?

Quote# 77083

To illustrate, on July 7th 2005, Muslims murdered 52 victims in London, including 27 white Britons. On October 8th 2005, a massive earthquake (7.6+ on the Richter Scale) struck Kashmir and 75,000 Muslims died, catapulated through the gates of "hell and death" when the Lord Jesus Christ unlocked them.

'Allah' couldn't lift a finger to prevent the calamity.

I believe that the two events are not unconnected and that Christianity's Founder is responsible for earthquakes, Numbers 16:30-32.

Quote# 77130

Now we come to the wonderful world of TAXONOMY, where cartoon charts are used to artificially classify bones in order to "prove" evolution. This is where evolutionists develop a "disneyland" mentally and construct a chart which shows the earth to be about 4.5 billion years old. Then they proceed to divide this chart up into various time frames containing hundreds of millions of years each. As new discoveries are found, the scientists conveniently place them at selected places on the chart.

This would be a dandy little system, except for one minor problem: THEY'VE NEVER PROVEN THE ORIGINAL CHART! It's nothing more than blind guesswork. No one has ever proven that the earth is 4.5 billion years old. The chart is NOT scientific. In fact, many scientists believe that the earth isn't over 6,000 to 10,000 years old! Of course, all opposing views are ignored by evolutionary scientists, for they need a nice big time period in which to place their new findings. You've heard of people "buying time?" Well, evolutionists just DREAM IT UP.

Another "proof" for evolution is COMPARATIVE ANATOMY, the belief that similar bone structures prove animal kin through evolution. That is, if two different animals have similar bone structures, then they must have evolved from the same original ancestors. Of course, this is more

nonsense. Any scientist knows perfectly well that many such bone structures are produced by entirely DIFFERENT GENES, thus proving that they are in NO WAY RELATED! In fact, if similar bone structure proves anything, it proves that these animals were created by the same God!

Why do you think a SAME SEX couple wants SAME SEX KIDS?

To molest them and make them “gay”.

It’s a no brainer.

Are people that DUMB to not see through this?

The HIGHEST molestation rates with kids are with SAME SEX COUPLES and SAME SEX kids. That is a FACT. It is shocking. When you compare the SMALL PERCENTAGE that “gays” are of our population - maybe 1-3% and compare the MOLESTATION RATE with molestations that happen with heterosexuals, HANDS DOWN of the percentages “gays” win.

Quote# 77114

Self is the atheist's god. He serves his god fervently and intensely to the bitter end. Self-worship is the basest worship of all. They choose self instead of Christ, and desire to live comfortably, having no thought or care for God. The atheist loves himself, enjoys himself, and will soon damn himself. They lead a thoughtless and careless life in the deceitfulness and delusion of Sin. Your profession of atheism is a mere sham. Every atheist lives in contempt of God's court. There is a divine warrant out for your arrest tonight.

ADL slams Shas spiritual leader for saying non-Jews 'were born to serve Jews'

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef says in Saturday sermon that 'Goyim have no place in the world - only to serve the People of Israel'; ADL chief calls Yosef's words 'hateful' and 'divisive'.

The Anti-Defamation League on Tuesday condemned comments about non-Jews made this past weekend by Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.

In a sermon given on Saturday on laws concerning what non-Jews are permitted to do on Shabbat, Yosef said: "Goyim [non-Jews] were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world – only to serve the People of Israel."

"Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat."

According to Yosef, death has "no dominion" over non-Jews in Israel.

"With gentiles, it will be like any person - they need to die, but [God] will give them longevity. Why? Imagine that one’s donkey would die, they’d lose their money. This is his servant... That’s why he gets a long life, to work well for this Jew.”

The Return of Eye Beams!

Pew! Pew! Pew!

Quote# 77098

In a thread regarding astrophysics, distance and star light

Here is a question you.

So a light year = the distance light travels in a year.

You mentioned the figure 11 million light years away.

So my question is how are we observing this light 11 million light years away now?

I'm not 11 million years old, i'm 20.

---------------------------------------------

Later on he goes on to say...

If it takes 11 million years to travel to earth, how can i see it now? I'm only 20.

If it takes 11 million years to travel to earth then the viewer would need to be 11 million years old.

---------------------------------------------

And it continues with...

I don't believe light travels at all, i've looked at various models and worked on many but none of it works. The basics of visual perception is often overlooked. When we look at something what is actually going on? The emission theory states that the light emits (not a travelling speed) from our own eyes not from the object we look at. The intromission theory states the opposite.

The emission theory is the most common sense, so i don't believe there is any speed of light. The 'Starlight Problem' has never been a problem for me and the YEC model. The earliest Church Fathers (2nd-4th century AD) who believed in emmision theory also had no problem with starlight and a young universe.

Quote# 77074

[Question: Did God use the same design for humans as for monkeys?]

Have you ever gone shopping and seen a whole bunch of really neat skateboards? You might know what type they are because of how they are painted or designed. They are similar because the same company made them. Well, when you look at God’s creation, you find many similarities because the same Maker created them.

God created all living things, and it makes sense that a lot of these share many similar characteristics or design. The same God, the same Designer, created both monkeys and humans and thus there are some similarities. But the differences are also important. Man is not an animal! Our Bible verse here says that man was made in God’s image—a monkey wasn’t.

Man is very different from a monkey. Man can think, he can appreciate and write music, and he can build airplanes and bridges. Monkeys can’t do this. Humans can have a relationship with their God, and we can spend eternity with Him if we believe His Word concerning salvation. We can ask forgiveness for our sins and believe in Jesus Christ, who took the punishment for our sins. Monkeys and animals cannot do that!

Quote# 77050

At least four gay Ugandans have been attacked since a publication printed personal information of the country's "top" homosexuals earlier this month, the Associated Press reports.

The small Ugandan newspaper Rolling Stone published photos, names, and addresses of the targeted individuals. A headline on the paper read "Hang Them."

"We felt there was need for society to know that such characters exist amongst them," Giles Muhame, the publication's managing editor, said of gays. "Some of them recruit young children into homosexuality, which is bad and need to be exposed. They take advantage of poverty to recruit Ugandans. In brief we did so because homosexuality is illegal, unacceptable, and insults our traditional lifestyle."

Frank Mugisha, chairman of Sexual Minorities Uganda, said that 20 gay persons have been attacked in the last year in the country, where a bill that would make homosexuality punishable by the death penalty is still pending.

Quote# 77044

They accuse of us being Nazis, and Obama's got a health care logo that's right out of Adolf Hitler's playbook. Now, what are the similarities between the Democrat Party of today and the Nazi Party in Germany? Well, the Nazis were against big business -- they hated big business. And of course we all know that they were opposed to Jewish capitalism. They were insanely, irrationally against pollution. They were for two years mandatory voluntary service to Germany. They had a whole bunch of make-work projects to keep people working, one of which was the Autobahn. They were against cruelty and vivisection of animals, but in the radical sense of devaluing human life, they banned smoking. They were totally against that. They were for abortion and euthanasia of the undesirables, as we all know, and they were for cradle-to-grave nationalized healthcare.

This is why I have always bristled when I hear people claim conservativism gets close to Nazism. It is liberalism that's the closest you can get to Nazism and socialism. It's all bundled up under the socialist banner. There are far more similarities between Nancy Pelosi and Adolf Hitler than between these people showing up at town halls to protest a Hitler-like policy that's being heralded like a Hitler-like logo.

Quote# 77041

After the courts delivered a series of body-blows to marriage over the past four decades -- with no-fault divorce, abortion, the de facto legalization of pornography, and legitimizing cohabitation -- the justices thought: Oh, what the h_ll, what harm can there possibly be in opening the honorable estate to members of the North American Man/Boy Love Association and Dykes on Bikes?
[...]
Pardon my hate-filled rhetoric, but when exactly did homosexuals become a division of humanity instead of a sorry collection of individuals (connected only by their carnal appetites) caught up in a perverted lifestyle?

That which once was properly shunned is now celebrated as a glorious form of diversity -- promoted in the schools, subsidized by corporate America, pampered by government at the state and local levels, and pandered to by politicians -- witness the Democratic gay presidential debate last August, sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign, where Clinton and Obama preened before representatives of the community like singer Melissa Etheridge.

The slide down the slippery slope accelerates at breakneck speed. What awaits us at the bottom isn't gay marriage alone -- which is merely a way station -- but a sexual totalitarian state (replete with Diversity Gestapo) in which dissent from the gay agenda will be ruthlessly suppressed.
[...]
Conscience and intimidation aside, gay matrimony will turn marriage into a free-form institution. If two men or two women can tie the knot in California, why not two women and two men, or a woman and her brother, or a man and a chicken, or Al Gore and the ozone layer?

Absurd, you may say. No more so than the idea of same-sex marriage 20 years ago.

By divorcing marriage from the potential for procreation (life doesn't come from the things homosexuals do in the privacy of their bedrooms, or at rest stops, or in public parks in Amsterdam), by compelling us to endorse the fiction that a couple who are sodomizing each other somehow constitutes a family, by telling a husband and wife who are struggling to raise a family that in the eyes of society they have exactly the same standing as those who a few short years ago were called degenerates, we will end up destroying an institution that predates political correctness, human rights commissions, the California Supreme Court and government itself.

These days even a neutral point of view on homosexuality or racism gets you branded a homophobe and a racist. Only an enthusiastic endorsement of homosexuality and all it entails will do.

It must be asked- why are they so keen to promote homosexuality to other people's children?

I suspect that there are more homosexuals working in the higher echelons of government and media than there are in the general population. Do you really think say a Bible believing Christian who considers homosexual relationships to be sin would get recruited and promoted in such a pro-gay environment?

The National Organization for Marriage is using the voice and image of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., in a new ad that urges Minnesota voters to support gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer, who wants a public vote against marriage equality.

According to The Minnesota Independent, NOM president Brian Brown said in a statement Thursday, “We want the voters of Minnesota to know the facts about their rights and where the candidates stand on marriage. Just as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., fought for the civil rights of Americans, we echo his words to give people the ballot and let the people vote!”

Q-If God created the world 6,000 years ago or so, why are stars millions of light years away?

A-Brendon, what a question! Yes, we know from the dates God gives us in the Bible that He did create the whole universe about 6,000 years ago. When we hear the term light-year, we need to realize it is not a measure of time but a measure of distance, telling us how far away something is. Distant stars and galaxies might be millions of light-years away, but that doesn’t mean that it took millions of years for the light to get here, it just means it is really far away!

The first operation described in the Bible was the removal of a rib from Adam, which was performed by first putting Adam into an unconscious, "deep sleep-like trance."[2] This was the equivalent of anesthesia -- thousands of years before anesthesia was developed by William Mortan in 1846. Had scientists been more openminded about Genesis 2:21, they may have discovered anesthesia far sooner, and saved many more lives.

Quote# 76982

So Hitler himself was an active homosexual. And some people wonder, didn't the Germans, didn't the Nazis, persecute homosexuals? And it is true they did; they persecuted effeminate homosexuals. But Hitler recruited around him homosexuals to make up his Stormtroopers, they were his enforcers, they were his thugs. And Hitler discovered that he could not get straight soldiers to be savage and brutal and vicious enough to carry out his orders, but that homosexual soldiers basically had no limits and the savagery and brutality they were willing to inflict on whomever Hitler sent them after. So he surrounded himself, virtually all of the Stormtroopers, the Brownshirts, were male homosexuals.

Quote# 76980

Creeping Sharia has come to a grocery aisle near you. Campbell’s soups have come out with a line of 15 halal-certified soups which comply with the dietary regulations of the two percent of the American population that follows Islam. The soups have been certified by the Islamic Society of North America, an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood whose cluster of 29 affiliated organizations - including ISNA - have a goal of “exterminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.”

ISNA was an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist-fund raising trial in history, the Holy Land Foundation trial. Well, nobody will be able to blame Campbell’s for not doing its part to cooperate with those who hate America and want to see her and her Constitution subverted and then wiped out altogether.

The next time you pop open a can of Campbell’s vegetarian soup, you’ll have the comfort of knowing that you are consuming jihadi-sanctified food.

To see where things are going with this whole halal business, look no further than the U.K., where grocers have gone whole-hog - pardon the expression - on offering halal meat but without telling anybody about it.

The largest supermarket chains in Britain are selling lamb and chicken which come from animals which have been slaughtered in the Islamic way. Even fast-food joints like Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Subway are using halal meat, but they aren’t telling their customers about it either. Domino’s, for instance, has been serving halal chicken for 10 years in 580 outlets across the fruited U.K. plan. Folks in hospitals, schools, and pubs across the U.K. have been eating food that has first been blessed in the name of the demon-god Allah but know nothing about it.
