I did research Hitler. Turns out he was a Catholic. In fact he hated the idea of the occult so Alliester Crowley is already out of the picture.

"I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.."
"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders."
"In the Bible we find the text, 'That which is neither hot nor cold will I spew out of my mouth.' This utterance of the great Nazarene has kept its profound validity until the present day."
And so on...

I think the Aleister Crowley referred to was a different guy - inmate #4336457838343 also known as 'Knuckles'.

Aleister Crowley was nothing more than an attention whore and hedonist, not to mention a huckster like his spiritual love child Anton Lavey. Hitler would likely have found him far too undisciplined.
You know who was a Crowley supporter, though -- L. Ron Hubbard. I don't think Crowley really returned the favor though -- IIRC he thought Elron to be an immature dilettante. Pot->Kettle=Black there.

Most wickedest. Of course.
Also, learn to spell. "Beleive" and "athiest" piss me off every time I see them.

"Crowley bragged about being the most wickedest man in the world"
Well if your are going to be the wickedest man in the world, definitely shoot for "most wickedest"! I mean how lame would it be to put all that work into being wickedest and then only end up as the average wickedest person in the world.

Sorry but Hitler was very much into the occult. He had psychic readings in the 1920s that indicated he was to have a "great destiny". He believed the reversed swastika had magical powers, and he had a kind of occult religion created, for which there was a temple in the castle of Wewelsberg. Their religion was inherently flawed however, by having Heinrich Himmler as high priest.

@ whatever --
"Catholic" and "into batshit spiritualist crap" aren't contradictory. Hell, most European-based occultism has a specifically Christian symbolic and theological orientation.

In modern American fundamentalism also. Just look at how many of the oft-quoted fundie sites have faith attachments of Numerology, Astrology, fortune telling, Belief in urban legends and old world mythology, historical rewrites that are pure fiction.
Fundies are notorious for trying to pull all fantasy into their worldview.
And to defend Hitlers foray into mystisism. How is that any more ridiculous than his Christian beliefs?
