You wait til Matt Santos is in the White House as El Presidente ... what do you mean, it isn't real?

Technically, the mayor,
Antonio Villaraigosa, has met with Vicente Fox in hopes of working with Mexico because of the Hispanic community <http://www.aztlan.net/hahnmexico.htm>, but it's not as if the mayor is taking direct orders from Mexico.
And besides, the mayor was born in the US.

If you ever need a person to spew racists crap, Kathy29 is one to call. She is the same one who went on about AIDS in Africa was do to \"immorality\".
3/20/2006 9:29:56 PM
Wait, are mayors generally under the direct authority of Washington?

If he's hispanic, wouldn't he answer to Spain? Just a thought.
3/20/2006 10:31:12 PM
So... I guess Cuba, Puerto Rico, and all of Central and South America are under the orders of Mexico?
You know, I'm not completely sure that's right...

Trade \"hispanic\" and \"Mexican\" for \"Catholic\" and \"Mexico City\" for \"The Pope\" and you start to see the tactics that were tried against JFK when he was running for President. He didn't make America all Catholic, and I doubt that having a hispanic man holding office in LA will make the city revert to Mexican control.
Racists just don't think.

Is there some sort of handbook they pull things like this from?
3/21/2006 2:37:20 AM
And because the county is so populous, the entire country of the United States of America lives under Mexican political authority. And since the USA has a big military, the entire world lives under Mexican political authority.

By that logic, almost all of our founding fathers were just waiting to sell America out to King George.

*bangs forehead against wall*
*thinks better of it, bangs Kathy29's forehead against wall repeatedly instead*
You know, it IS possible for a non-WASP to be American and loyal to the US. This is the same sort of attitude that got 100k Japanese-Americans - many of whom wanted to help the war effort (and proved it by serving capably after released - the most decorated US battalion in the European theater was made up almost entirely of Japanese-Americans) - locked up in relocation camps for no apparent reason in 1942.

Hey look! Another fundy stuck in the 1800s!
Seriously...when will these people get a clue? She's one of those types that would see me walking down the street and say \"another illegal immigrant!! What is this world coming to!!\"

Sure, he does obey him. After all, the money he uses comes from somewhere else and the solutions he takes are based on a foreign constitution.
