I have read all of the new health care bill. Have you? It does state in the bill about the (death)panel and what it is. I don't know about this case personally but I think everyone should read it and all of its provisions including microchipping persons. There is also alot about the military budget thrown in also.. so stop talking about the internet and READ all of he bill!

I have read the section you're either lying about or are too stupid to interpret. It is not about death panels.

It merely pays the cost of one doctor's appointment every five years for any Medicare patient who wishes to have medical proxy instructions in place in case something happens to them, and needs to ask their doctor about what options would be available to them (and the person acting on their behalf) should they end up on ventilators and feeding tubes due to some irreversible medical catastrophe.

Before the law, such a visit was not covered, and a poor elderly person could be stuck with a bill of $100 or more just to go in and ask some questions. Now, once every five years, if you CHOOSE to get some information to help you decide what you want to tell your family to do with you when you can't make decisions for yourself, the visit is paid for.

There was also talk (can't remember if this made it into the final bill or not) of a panel that would recommend the most cost effective treatment plans for common conditions as a guideline to doctors, but not as a requirement or regulation. There are zero selections or restrictions on care beyond those placed upon you by your insurer, and nobody is denied care because they're old.
