Monsanto is planning to release strains of Marijuana that will be GM'ed.
The days of being able to say Marijuana has never killed someone may soon be ending.
Please, Everyone save your seeds. It is our only way to preserve the miracle that is Cannabis.

I've looked into Monsanto, and I have yet to figure out why they're so often considered to be evil. The whole point behind GM crops is to increase yields as well as making them more resistant to disease and parasites. What could possibly be evil about creating the means to feed people who would otherwise starve?

Specific strains of GM crops may or may not contain specific compounds that are harmful to humans. Independent researchers (if such a thing exists) are going to have to figure that out. However, there is the very evident problem that GM crops are heavily sprayed with Round-Up and similar herbicides.

You may wish to scroll down to "public health concerns."
Plus, Monsanto engages in spurious lawsuits against farmers who try to protect heritage crop varieties from genetic pollution:

The miracle at ruining your health.
Does cannabis contain delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, an addictive substance that was found not too long ago to accumulate in the ovaries and testes and is thought to be the major psychoactive agent in cannabis/marijuana?
@ Miles Gloriosus:
Monsanto has sued numerous farmers when its GM crops have turned up on farmers' fields even though the farmers say they never planted them.
Monsanto employs an army of private investigators (like Pinkerton) to regularly check up on independent, non-GM farmers, invading their fields to take samples to make sure they are not in violation. It maintains a hotline so farmers can turn in their neighbors for suspected violations.
Monsanto pursues as many as 600 investigations a year aimed at farmers, with an annual budget of $10 million and a staff of 75 devoted solely to investigating and prosecuting farmers.
The company is arrogating to itself police powers it does not have.
Confused?
