It is hardly honoring to Him when we put more trust in our front door than we do in His love for us. God has said that He will protect us from everything that isn’t good for us. If He decides that getting stung by a hornet and coming within inches of death is what we need to get to the next level of growth, then why would we resist?

You know these two sentences can't co-exist, right? He's not protecting us from things that aren't good for us by sending them after us himself. That'd be like suggesting the guy who shot up Fort Hood back in 2007 was protecting his fellow soldiers from getting killed in Iraq by killing them at home a month before they were sent over.
