That is ok. We also have "Christian jews" and "Christian Muslims", Christian Catholics " etc. [emphasis added]

I like the way humanity had to go four thousand years without Jesus to save them. And then had to put with another, what, 1500 years of Catholics all going to hell because they worshipped him in the wrong way before christianity appeared.
No love for the eastern denominations.
Unbelievably silly. Oh, and I assume that the emphasis wasn't in the original, was it? If it were, I would suspect the poster here of actually using sarcasm rather than of blithely making a stupid fundie comment.
EDIT: Thanks for clarifying with the "emphasis added" there.

The poster may be getting confused by "the Jewish Christians", which is a legitimate term for the church founded by the disciples after Jesus' death. The disciples and other followers did not call themselves "Christians", they were still Jews, and believed that Jesus was the promised messiah. They are generally called this because they did not abandon traditional Jewish practices for the most part, and they also distinguished themselves from the "gentile" Christians that Paul and his lot went out to convert.
That said, this post is still pretty enormous in its gross ignorance. Christian Catholics seals it.
I could see the poster thinking that "Jews" are a race (which is partly due to many Jews thinking of themselves that way too), so a Christian Jew is possible, in the same way someone could be a Christian Russian or Christian German. He may also be thinking that Muslim=Arab, and there are Christian Arabs, yes - though this is really stretching. But Christian Catholics just seals it - the poster is ignorant as hell.
Jess "Jews for Jesus" are Christians, not Jews. Just take Christianity, and subtract Jesus, and the various stories, and you'll get Judaism. "Jew for Jesus" is essentially the definition of a Christian, I think.
Dang Catholics, believing in the divinity of Jesus, his miracles, and the cleansing of sins by his death on the cross. Surely they're not christians.
Christian Catholics, Christian Baptists, Christian Protestant, Christian Calvinists, Christian Orthodox, Christian Puritans, Anglican Christians, Christian Lutherans, Amish Christians, Christian Evangelists...
What's your point, little lamb?
The Quakers and Unitarian Universalists are the true definition of the term 'Christian'. As in following, and living their lives, by the teachings of Jesus: being as good and decent people as they can be. Helping others in any way possible, as & when needed. Being charitable. Treat others as you would want them to treat you. Commit acts of gratuitous kindness. Be good for goodness' sake.
Rather like we Humanists/Atheists, in fact.
So, if anything, Christian Atheist isn't a contradiction in terms.
Unlike Fundamentalist Christian. They are the ones Gandhi referred to when he said 'I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.'
