Amazing what a chip that records full video and audio, and transmits to a satellite, all in a casing small enough to be implanted in someone's eyebrow without them knowing about it, can do. Yes, yes, free all the Gitmo folks and send them back to their people. All is forgiven.

I read a part of the thread, and I honestly believe him to be gullible. He should leanr to think for himself and question government pres releases every no and again. If they truly were a threat to anyone, they would have been charged and prosecuted. not tortured for 4/5 years.

This is utter stupidity. If some detainees are being released now, it is because they were checked for being a threat and were found to have NEVER been a threat.

At least he seems sensibly grounded on the Japanese internment issue. That's encouraging; I know a guy in his 50s who still tries to claim that it was justified, even though the government iself has finally admitted otherwise.
It's a pity Jacob's reason failed him on the Iraqui imprisonment issue. If the guys were a threat, then they still would be, and should not be released, but should be (long since) lawfully tried and given due process. If they were NOT a threat, then they have been unlawfully detained (at the very least) for several years and deserve some kind of reparations and official apologies. This whole incident is a huge black mark on U.S. honor, and I suspect it will be at least another 50 years before we own up to this one officially.
