I can see this is a very old quote, but this is one of the most bloodchilling things I've ever read.

"Murder is killing without just cause."

Stars and stripes?

Salem in the good old days, the Hussian Wars, the Crusades.
Isn't christianity so full of hypocritical bullshit.

Leviticus 19:19
Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee.

So I can justly kill farmers breeding new stocks of cattle, mixing their crops, and wearing linen and wool?

Anyone who argues that "it's actually 'thou shalt not murder'" is really just saying "I think killing people is perfectly fine, as long as they're people I don't like."

anti-nonsense

and how is it possible to have just cause to kill an infant?

7/25/2008 6:36:57 PM

Grigadil

@ anti-nonsense:

1. Wrong race or tribe.

2. Possessed by demons. Cries in church, has colic or ear infection or is teething.

3. Refuses to read and discuss the bible.

unworthyone, you are well named. In fact, you are a heartless piece of subhuman scum who has no more relationship to the teachings of Jesus than did Hitler. I would challenge you to post an answer to my observation here but you would not be able to check the box that asks if you are human.

Almost any murderer throughout history would be able to go to great lengths explaining to you why he/she had just cause. That puts your god in pretty bad company. If there actually is a god, unworthyone, you better be on the lookout because he/she/it would surely take great offense at your defaming him, her, it.

AH so from your perspective, since abortion is murder and it usually has a just cause for happening then it's justified, right? RIGHT?

Didn't think so.

Allegory for Jesus

And theft is taking without asking, or without a really good reason for taking it.
Adultery is breaking your marriage vows, but having an acceptable excuse for doing so is not adultery.
And it is not worshipping a false idol if you really believe it to be a connection to a greater entity.

Thank you for showing us that there aren't any sins that you can't simply justify into oblivion.

Dr. Shrinker

Okay then, why does god allow some infants to live? Is he/she/it just insanely arbitrary? If so, why worship him/her/it?

The hypocricy of these fundies is breathtaking.

Do you consider starving babies to death when they don't say "Amen" as just, dickface? I bet you don't. Think about that one baby who died a terrible death. Now think about the thousands of babies that your god has killed.

He's pretty sick isn't he? Sicker than the sickest of humans, that's for sure.

4/9/2009 5:17:03 PM

And which was the "just cause"?, existing?

8/23/2009 12:33:17 PM

Angua

I'm sorry, but what sort of "just cause" is killing a child? What has a baby done wrong? There just isn't any way that the killing of innocents is justice. You've basically just said your God is a murderer.

What sort of morality is this??
