Tell the President and Congress that the United States should adopt as it's motto "IN CHRIST WE TRUST"
The President has kept his promise to Christians voters by nominating SAMUEL A. ALITO. Now he needs your encouragement to restore America to it's Constitutional Christian roots by changing the official US motto to "In Christ We Trust".
Of course, we anticipate fierce opposition from every leftwing, Athiest, homosexual, pro-abortion organization in the country against this Godly campaign. They will not be satisfied until our judgment, intellect and integrity are severely attacked and this just, patriotic campaign is defeated.

Do they not understand that the Founding Fathers were Deists, Unitarians, and other assorted non-Christian religions, and firmly believed that Church and State should be kept seperated in order to avoid the same problems that plague Church-controlled or oriented governments?
So we skip God and go directly for Jesus? I so hope that when those guys get judged at the end of times that God sits there and slaps a few commandments in their face.

It's already offensive as "In God We Trust." "In Christ We Trust" is just offensive to more people and even more incorrect.
Of course he assumes against the evidence that the US has Constitutional Christian roots.
I can't understand why it should matter that the country was founded on it anyway. I mean, I wasn't homeskooled, so I know that the country was not, in fact, founded as a Christian nation, but even if it were--so what? We've moved so far away from how the country looked then in so many other ways--slavery, suffrage, etc. I just don't get it.

Actually, "God" is about as good as things get. The vast majority of Americans do indeed follow some form of religion, but not everyone who is religious is Christian.

The fundie nutcases love to say that if we remove "In God We Trust" that it discriminates against them in favor of Atheists, however notice they have a capital "G" god. Which religion calls their god simply "God". Jews usually won't spell out the name of God because of that whole 3rd commandment thing, Muslims say Allah, Buddhists are generally atheistic, this could go on and on, but we know which god they are talking about. By removing their little phrase on the money we make it where no one is discriminated against. It would only be in favor of atheists if we put "In No Gods We Trust" or something of that ilk.

shell -- It's the Fundie way: Bitch, gripe and moan about how we're getting away from what the founding fathers intended, then deny, deny, deny when the actual documentation shows the founders had some non-Fundie principles.
Replace an already unconstitutional slogan with one that's even worse? That figures. I wish the fundies would just go and start their own country somewhere else; they obviously hate the principles of this one, since they constantly distort history and ignore the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Well, there is a problem. One, the motto is a 1950's addition and it´s difficult to change. Second, there are moslem, Jewish and other faiths who voted him and can shun him. He is not idiot enough not to know that.
Besides, what he is doing is a waste of time. To be that, two-thirds of the parlament have to say so, which is not likely to happen. So, they are not going to stop you, your own ignorance will.
As of this time, almost two years later, they have just over 50 signatures. A little bit short of the million you wished is it? Its sad, because they are clearly so out of touch that they expected it to take off.
