God designed us to be clingy, high-maintenance little creatures who depend on Him for absolutely everything. The more clingy we are, the more pleased He becomes. The more we act like we can do life without Him, the more annoyed He becomes. As Christians who care about pleasing God, we need to learn to love the role of dependent, powerless wimps, because that is the only role that God offers us in life.

Here's something to make you feel better. Look up Anna attempting to "debunk" evolution, or anything she posts that isn't Fifty Shades of Yahweh. The lady is so repulsive and sickening that I honestly am glad she has her theology to choke on. Seriously, Dolores Umbridge talking about evolution thinks Anna needs to tone it down.

I've been poking around Anna's website.
I'm not sure what the hell to think. She's more or less taken apart the Bible in a lot of her posts, and condemened a good chunk of it. Which is a nice twist after so many Bible literalists, but still kinda strange.
Her god is a divine version of an abusive, emotionally sadistic spouse or parent.
Sometimes I get the sense she hates her God, but feels compelled to love him anyway.
She...reminds me of an abused kid or spouse to tell the truth. A lot of the same signs and behaviors.
Sorry, but if I'm gonna be some sociopathic demiurge's on-call piece of ass, I need to be paid in something a little more than empty promises of a blissful afterlife after death.
