<<<God is the God of laws.>>>
Whatever. Baseless assertions are meaningless.
<<<The universe created by God is maintained by laws.>>>
That's interesting. Of course, we're not in the universe created by God. We're in the real universe. We have laws of physics, but they're just descriptions of how things tend to work, not rules that order things to work in certain ways.
<<<Do you have any idea how long it took the human race to have the Bible as we have it today?>>>
Yeah, it took thousands of years of scientific discoveries to reveal the BuyBull was a load of trash, as well as a large fight with the church, who didn't want to admit that their BuyBull was wrong, followed by a number of "interpretations" by people who wanted to accept that computers worked, but didn't want to stop oppressing people in the name of their tribal war god.
<<<Your idea of God seems to be an old guy sitting on a cloud somewhere looking down while frowning and slapping those who don't toe his line.>>>
No, that's the Old Testament god. My idea of God is an imaginary being believed by people who can't or don't think for themselves.
<<<Study his word with the thought in mind that he is too big and you cannot understand him, he is too mighty for that.>>>
So I should study God's alleged word while believing that I can't understand it?
<<<Your post does not appeal to reason or common sense.>>>
Pot. Kettle. Black.
<<<No matter what the human race has endured, the truth is here that...>>>
When you say "the truth is here that...," we all know you're gonna spout bullshit next.
<<<...Jesus Christ who was God in flesh...>>>
Actually, Jesus was just another guy, if he existed at all.
<<<...came to earth to die for your sins...>>>
I wasn't born yet, so he couldn't have died for me unless I was predestined to do something wrong; if that's the case, then whatever I did isn't my fault.
<<<...he became sin on the cross...>>>
You contradict yourself. You said earlier that he was a flesh-and-blood person. A flesh-and-blood person cannot "become" a nontangible classification of an action.
<<<...and when he died, sin died...>>>
So I haven't sinned, and can never sin? Well, thanks for clearing that up. It doesn't leave much of a point to your religion, though, does it? What are you gonna do now that you can't sin no matter what you do?
<<<...so anyone..whoever will repent and come to him is promised eternal life.>>>
There are several billion dead Christians who cannot be here with us today, so I will disagree with you on their behalf.
<<<Those who don't will perish.>>>
Those who do will perish as well.
<<<The punishment is equal to the crime. Whoever rejects such a price as was paid by God for us on the cross deserves to go to hell.>>>
This is a major-level oxymoron. Infinite torture is far too severe a punishment for any crime or number of crimes anyone on Earth could ever commit, and not believing something unsupported by evidence is not a crime.
<<<God knew this beforehand that many, or most of the human race would perish.>>>
In that case, he's omniscient, and therefore has no free will. Since everything is predetermined, even God, I guess we can't blame him for what he does. (Unless we're predetermined to.) If you merely mean that we would die without God, then he must be out at a massive keg party or something, because no one has ever lived even a mere 200 years! If God is trying to make sure we don't die, he's doing a really shitty job.
<<<we see it happening before our eyes.>>>
No shit, Sherlock! And here's the funny thing: Christians are just as likely to die as non-Christians!
<<<But to accuse God who has done all he could do to save the human race is not a good idea.>>>
Of course it isn't! It's a really bad idea to blame all our problems on an imaginary being rather than try and fix them ourselves.
<<<He made laws and if they are not obeyed, yes we will die...>>>
Really? In that case, let's conform OUR laws to GOD'S laws and execute anyone who eats shrimp! Or wears denim jeans with a cotton shirt! Let's also mandate family history checks, because plenty of people have parents or grandparents or great-grandparents who have done things wrong, and they must be punished for it! Those are all ordered by God in the Wholly Babble, so we should do them, right? Maybe this is why so many supposed Christians are dead; they all violated some of these rules at some point!
<<<...but he made the WAY for us and that WAY is CHRIST.>>>
These are God's rules, but you can break them if you kiss God's ass. If the rules are important, how come you can violate them by kissing God's ass? If kissing God's ass in exchange for rule-breaking rights is fine, the rules are meaningless. If God exists and made important rules that must be obeyed, how come he hasn't come down here to tell us?
<<<Sorry, but you have no excuse.>>>
No excuse for what? Not being perfect? Sorry there, mate. If God is out there and has rules he wants me to follow, he can come in here and tell them to me. Unless an actual god shows me rules he wants me to follow, I will assume that no gods exist or that they have no rules they want me to follow. Of course, even if a god came to me with a set of rules, he/she/it would need a good reason why I should follow them. I won't do something solely because I'm told, even if a god is telling me to do it.
