The fact that teenagers would be driven to inject in ordinary daily casual encounters such sexual innuendo and blatant gesturing demonstrates vividly the nature and depth of the disordre that plagues people with perverted sexual desires. There is no possible acceptable situation where teenagers in school should even be mentioning let along acting out sexual fantasies and experiences. To do so, on the part of a minor, would be strongly suggestive evidence of possible abuse, and if someone like me, a teacher or other adult charged with care of children were to observe it, would almost certainly suspect abuse and report it.

I commend puzzleannie for her concern, really, but her view of teenagers is incredibly naive. I should know; I was a terribly naive teenager who didn't suspect half of what my peers were doing, and her view is naive even by my standards. Well-intentioned, no doubt, but completely unrealistic.

Hi, my name's Annie and I'm a pervaholic. It's been 16 months since I last looked down, praise the Lord, but with his guidance I can deny the fact I have a body one day at a time.
Well, she's sort of partly correct, (which was probably accidental). When young children (by young I mean four, six, eight years old) talk about sex a lot or touch other children sexually without thinking this is anything unusual, this may be a sign of abuse.
In teenagers, of course, this behaviour is a sign that they are teenagers.
'such sexual innuendo and blatant gesturing'
More like in your endo. (hahaha)
Sorry about the bad play on words. Anyways, wasn't it one of Freud's big ideas that everything we do is related to sex and subconsciously all are actions geared to having it? And why would god give us such a strong urge to have sex if he didn't want us to? And what about before the concept of 'marrage' was around? Or did we magicly learn that consept along with things like languages when we were created? I could keep going on but, whatever....
Puzzleannie, you live a very sheltered life. All teenagers have sexual desires and fantasies, whether we mention them or not. (Not all of us broadcast them to the general public.) I'd hate to hear what you define as "perverted."
Hmmmm...awareness of sexuality amongst teens is evidence of sexual abuse?
If you had any actual contact with teens and you believed this you would quickly come to the conclusion that every single teen in the entire world is horribly abused.
"and if someone like me, a teacher or other adult charged with care of children were to observe it, would almost certainly suspect abuse and report it."
Teenager here. I'm doubting my Computing teacher would report abuse after someone replied to his comment of "You're all getting your woolies out" with "That's what she said".
Yeah . . . what could be more horrible than teenagers talking to people. It would be better if they just kept silent with all their thoughts bottled up inside them. That way, no one could point out that they were wrong if there was any serious misunderstanding of some sort! Yeah . . . that's the way you ought to do it.
Because abstinence only sex ed. works just so well!
Also, I found a book the other day that mentioned the most perverted sexual acts and innuendo. It starts out with these two people walking around naked in a garden and they don't even see what's wrong with that! And there are two girls that get their father drunk so that they can have sex with him. And there is a king with three hundred wives and six hundred concubines! It must be part of some evil agenda to destroy that most holy and sacred and ancient tradition of marriage. And the main character is completely obsessed with having men mutilate their own genitals! And he's depicted as a good guy!
. . . This book is available in most households, bookstores, libraries, or even hotel rooms. It's everywhere! No wonder society is so sexually corrupt. So, Puzzleannie, do you think we should stop teenagers from having access to this book . . . I think it's called "The Bible" . . . and keep them from discussing it? After all, it could spread sexual immorality and perversion!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
