So... um... can someone explain to me what, exactly, Satan gains by getting as many souls as possible? I mean, doesn't he suffer the same fate as everyone in hell, ie, eternal damnation? Doesn't that mean it doesn't do him any good to get souls?

If I were the devil I'd deconvert as many people as possible from whatever religion they are on and keep them alive as long as possible. Because there will be no one left to preach your word if you kill all your followers.
