So the bible reports that airplanes (which hadn't been invented yet) would be flown into skyscrapers (which hadn't been invented yet) in the USA (which hadn't been founded yet) while a born-again Christian was the president? Hmm, must have missed that one.

The bible foresaw aeroplanes, skyscrapers, and the founding of a major city on a continent its writers had no idea existed? Yes, right.
Making up bullshit after the event does not count as prophecy, but if it makes you feel any better I do not blame you all for me not studying the bible in depth.

It's notable also that most people who spout off about Bible prophecy or the contents of the Bible have never really read it enough to even know what it says.
Sites like Christian Forums, Rapture Ready, Conservapedia and Free Conservatives are constantly Misquoting, cherry-picking or confusing other literature (Confusious, Shakesspeare, Lincoln or Kennedy to name a few) with Biblical passages.
It doesn't help that Christian leaders have long used the practice of hopping from book to book selecting a few verses here and there and trying to claim some relevance by grouping them.
