planned parent hood says they are "pro choice", but 90% of the people who came to them had abortions, if it were pro chooice, it would be much closer to half and half (not saying exactly 50/50, but not 90/10)

Why? You mean to say "Pro-choice means rationing out abortions and only letting a certain number of people have them, the rest are SOL?

Yeah, having rights is mockable.
Why would people go to PP to set up an adoption? I mean, that 90% is bullshit, obviously, since plenty of women go there for paps and prenatal vitamins and this idiot isn't counting them, but I don't see why the number of pregnant women who go to PP should be half looking for abortions and half not. It doesn't make sense.

Okay, I'll concede a bit on this one - I was actually thinking earlier that, if we adjust our society so that having an abortion, keeping the child, and giving the child up for adoption were all equally viable solutions, I'd conjecture that most women wouldn't get the abortion. Unfortunately, we live in a place called reality, in which keeping the child and adoption are not as viable as abortions; hence, more of them. (If we were to, say, allow singles and same-sex couples to adopt, it'd put less of a strain on the adoption system, improving that choice; create many more jobs, and women in these situations can get those jobs and have an easier time supporting the child. Of course, the right wing will have neither of these)
Unfortunately, the second half of I Love Mary's post completely negates any sense that could've been made in the first half.
I posted before I read all of the replies. While I am male, I acknowledge that while I can get a woman pregnant, it isn't up to me to force her to carry a child to term (assuming it's viable). While I would prefer an alternative to abortion, I'm realistic enough to realize that even birth control sometimes fails, leaving no alternative. I don't consider a clump of cells to be human. Spontaneous abortions happen in nature all the time. We just call them miscarriages. (For those of you keeping count, that's another misogynistic way for men to blame women for a failed pregnancy).
The problem is the religious right would have us believe every sex act should only be for procreation purposes. Thus they would ban any birth control. The problem with that kind of thinking is it flies in the face of the evidence. If the sex act was only for procreation, why would God have made it pleasurable for both sexes? He could have left it the way it is for so many animals and made it strictly instinctive. Why give us a choice?
These idiots don't think through all of their assinine theories.
Actually, by making condoms and other types of birth control available to its clients, Planned Parenthood PREVENTS the need for many, many more abortions than occur otherwise. So even if these statistics are even remotely factual, they are nonetheless extremely skewed, because it is impossible to measure the number of potential abortions prevented against the ones that occur.

...yeah...
I totally see Planned Parenthood forcing people to have abortions. They abduct random pregnant woman at night and everything!
Seriously, you fail at understanding "pro-choice."
Confused?
