THE "IMAGE WARPER" PERMITS "GEOMENTRIC TRANSFORMATIONS" WHILE "ORIGINS TECHNOLOGY... CONFIGURES THE MULTIPLE SMALL MIRRORS..." IN THESE TELESCOPES. TALK ABOUT A CON JOB!

*sigh*

So this is what happens when people are incapable of understanding the \"Twins Paradox\" in relativity.

I'll also have you know that when I jump, I stay perfectly still and the awesome strength in my Pat Robertson juiced legs pushes the entire planet away from me!

I looked at this guy’s website and can clearly see how he earned his BS. Also, it is very clear that his MA is in ‘moronic assertions’.

xMinionX -- I think it likely that he gave himself the masters. I'm sure his other degree is BS.

The Flat Earth Society seems to be very much alive and well, if somewhat small nowadays. I remember seeing an obituary article in the late 1980s for the guy who had, at that time, been the president (or a past president) of the organization for several years. He was an airplane mechanic in his day job -- yep, servicing airplanes that would fly beyond the horizon and come back again, constantly, and apparently saw no particular contradiction in that. He just had decided at the age of 8 that the world globe depiction of the Earth in his classroom was intuitively \"impossible,\" and he had managed to function despite this pathological disconnect in his thinking all those years. It would appear that there are many people who can give a convincing appearance of sanity except when dealing with their particular problem issue.

Flat earthers? Don't you just want to shove them in a space shuttle that orbits the earth, with their head strapped in a way so that they are always facing out the window and seeing the evidence for themselves?

Mad dog - they can still think it's just a disc, with flowing features. 2D vision limitation. :(

well, in that case the space shuttle can orbit the earth in every possible direction, east to west, north to south. Either they'll finally get it, or their brain will have a hernia, both of which are good results.

US Military Budget : +300 billion USD.

Say, what?

Geocentrism has to be an element of fundamental Xianity because it says so in the wholly babble.

I think this can be used as a "litmus" test of how pure a fundie's belief actually is. If they think the earth moves by a twitch then the whole caboodle can be said to be errent. If they think it is immovable then they are pure fundie.

The Coriolis effect would not be possible without a rotating Earth. See Wikipedia for the math.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coriolis_effect

Feminazi, be careful with your statement. The seasons are not cause by the Earth's rotation per se but by the tilting of the axis and the resulting angle of the Sun's rays striking the surface. Big difference.

"ALL CALCULATIONS FOR ECLIPSES, THE SPACE PROGRAM, NAVIGATION, SATELLITE MOVEMENTS--[snip]--ARE BASED ON A NON-MOVING EARTH."

Well, this technically is true (forget the part about precision and accuracy) because satellites, solar/lunar eclipses even going to the Moon are all relatively close to our main frame of reference, the Earth. But it's misleading to say they are calculated that way because of a non-moving Earth rather than we can simplify the math by assuming as such because of the localized reference. If we were to travel to, say, Alpha Centauri and back, we would definitely have to use some outside celestial reference for the calcs.

FALSE SCIENCE AS THE SOURCE OF ABSOLUTE TRUTH...OR GOD’S WORD??"

Science doesn't do "absolute truth" -- science does "here's the best explanation anyone has come up with so far to explain the evidence we've been able to gather. We're still trying to do better." Which is why science works.

the earth does not move. Youtube video shows that if you take an orrary and hold the earth still, the sun and all the planets rotate around the earth , see PROOF !

few small problems with the concept though.
