This was a PLANNED event put up by the JEWS to get all this holocaust nonsense going. Prior to this nobody realy cared about this Jewsih holocaust crap..and derservedly.....After all America had Hogans Heroes, and everybody knows that NO thought of gassings was ever brought up in that humerous show and the Germans were not evil but just dipicted as dumbos. That show ran from 1965-1971....

Yes, quite right. Meanwhile, us Brits had 'Allo! Allo!', which was a meticulously researched, historically accurate depiction of the French Resistance.
Actually, there was a lot of coverage of the holocaust in the 50s and 60s. Films on programs like The Twentieth Century - CBS TV half-hour documentary series, hosted by Walter Cronkite, movies like The Nuremberg Trials and Exodus. Not to mention all the GIs who came home and talked about what they saw. Why do you think the Greatest Generation and Baby Boomers were so pro-Israel?
First off....
Hogan's Heroes took place a POW camp for soldiers, not a Concentration Death Camp.
Second....
The camp in Hogan's Heroes was run by very inept and not-particularly psychopathic folks who weren't particularly cruel.
Third....
Hogan's Heroes was an ABSURD, SILLY, GOOFY OLD-TIMEY, CLASSIC, FAMILY-FRIENDLY TV SITCOM! IT WAS COMPLETE FICTION! HOGAN'S HEROES IS TO WWII POW CAMPS WHAT....
* ...I DREAM OF JEANNIE WAS TO MID-EASTERN DJINN...
* ...THE FLINSTONES WAS TO HUMAN PREHISTORY...
* ...GILLIGAN'S ISLAND WAS TO BEING LOST AND STRANDED IN ISOLATED LOCALES!
* ...BEWITCHED WAS TO NEOPAGANISM/WITCHCRAFT/WICCA!
* ...AND LEAVE IT TO BEAVER WAS TO A REAL AMERICAN FAMILY!!!
Fourth....
PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT THE HORRORS OF THE NAZI DEATH CAMPS!!!!
@Indicible
Yeah, Werner "Colonel Klink" Klemperer was a German-born Jew whose family fled the Nazis when he was in his teens. Not quite a Holocaust survivor, but borderline. And as I said, the show was created and primarily written by Bernard Fein and Albert Ruddy, who were also both Jewish.
Hogan's Heroes was a show which took place in a POW camp, not a concentration camp. So that's mainly why gassings were never brought up. That, and the fact that the show was a comedy and talk of mass gassings would have brought the humor down a bit.
> What kind of fucking genetic Moebius strip gets his historical information from a television sitcom?
Rhombuses (as in the R word).
> PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT THE HORRORS OF THE NAZI DEATH CAMPS!!!!
Actually, no. Back in the 1800's nobody talked about Nazi death camps. [racist]Take that Jew Sympathizers![/racist]
Plenty of Life articles, along with other ones from newspapers, tell about Nazis murdering Jews and others in camps.
And Hogan's Heroes is about a POW camp for western soldiers, where Geneva convention were respected.
@Uilleam
Moreover, Klink and Schultz are rumored, by some fans, to not be supporters of the Nazi Party: the former didn't seem to put too much enthusiasm in his Hitler Salute while the latter was said to be a Social Democrat .
Klemperer and Bannon deliberately made their characters weak and unenthusiastic; it was the only way either would accept the parts. Both characters were there because they had no choice, and so they could sit out the actual war. Schultz was frequently seen to display a certain sympathy for the prisoners. They did as commanded by the harder-edge Nazi higher-ups, but didn't really mind when those orders were thwarted as long as they didn't get "sent to the Russian Front."
It's a shame that the show was cancelled over misplaced outrage; it had sharp writing and good actors.
Confused?
