Have been a Christian for about 15 years, prior to that, I was happy living without God, enjoying my sins, living in ignorance. Wasn't until some God 'botherers' bothered me about the gospel. At first I rejected it, like most do, I resorted to the evolution excuse, ( I wanted to continue watching my porn, lying when convenient, enjoyed gossip, returning hate for hate etc) but when I began to look further into what the bible had to say, coupled with the very weak 'proofs' of evolution, I became convicted as the bible makes clear all those aforementioned sins will cost me my soul at death.
Only the bible makes clear sense as to our origins, the reason for evil (both satan and our sin) and the sure most thing that we will all have to travel through: death. Not only that, through faith I know God personally, I have put my trust in his son Jesus Christ who was historically crucified for my sins. I will never go back to how I was prior to knowing Christ.

Much of the post actually sounds honest, but that list either proves that impression wrong or is evidence of a "hook, line and sinker" convert.
I will never go back to how I was prior to knowing Christ.
Maybe, maybe not. Late converts tend to have a brush fire start, but a medium term half-life of faith. Chances are the silliness of fundemental Christianity will become evident once the romance wears off.

So why did God create Satan?
Lying for Christ is still a sin you know. And you wanted to watch porn because of 'evolution'? That's the most feeble excuse I've ever heard.
And re: the reason for evil?
Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
"I have put my trust in his son Jesus Christ who was historically crucified for my sins. I will never go back to how I was prior to knowing Christ."
- He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.
SHORTER: 'I became a Christian, giving up my vices, because a bunch of people told me I'd be burned forever by God - God, who superintends an observable universe about 91 BILLION light years wide.'
I wouldn't dare to speak for God without Its leave, but I'm willing to bet two things:
1) God has better things to do than wag its finger at you while you watch porn.
2) If God exists, and pays attention to us, there's no guarantee it's a Christian God - and even if it were, I doubt something that ancient - the ANCIENT of Days; think a Googleplex of years or older, or even older than that. I somehow doubt it would care about safe sex.
Masturbation isn't hurting anyone, and the sin of Onan had to do specifically with his unwillingness to do right by his late brother's wife when they joined in a Levirate Marriage.
If the only reason you're "good" is because you fear torture for being bad, you're not good - and a God would see right through it. Luckily, the Ancient of Days is more merciful than you are.
Jonathan Edwards.
The opposite of you, in effect.
Then some years ago, he realised he could be a good person without God, recanted of his long-time beliefs and became an Atheist.
If he was anything like what you suggest the rest of us are, then Channel 4 would never have had him present their coverage of the 2012 London Paralympics, never mind he doing the same for the upcoming 2012 Rio Paralympics. Or that for 2014 Sochi by the BBC. Or the Glasgow Commonwealth Games between then and now.
He knew your Christ: only too well.
Jonathan Edwards.
The fundies' worst nightmare.
Funny, George, I became an atheist when I was very young, as soon as I grasped what this religion stuff was all about. I will never return, as my six decades of atheism and a life of logic and reason has served me very well.
...and since when has the crucifiction been "historical"? I call Poe, and a very self-serving Poe at that.

These have nothing to do with evolution, as far as I can see. Or atheism, for that matter.
but when I began to look further into what the bible had to say, coupled with the very weak 'proofs' of evolution,
This guy either looked exclusively at creationist websites, where any evidence for evolution is misrepresented or simply not given, or he's lying.
"Watching my porn" does NOT belong on the same list as lying and gossiping. Not really sure about "returning hate for hate" either. If someone's gonna hate me, I'll probably hate them right back, dangit. lol
By the way, I didn't submit this, but this was from part of a conversation I was having with this guy. One of his favorite tactics is the classic "evolutionist quote-mine" to make it look like scientists who are talking about evolution are saying something AGAINST evolution, when they're doing anything but that. I even confronted him about it, and he saw absolutely no problem with what he was doing. I tried to do my own "quote-mine" from the Bible, told him Psalm 14 says "there is no God"...but, of course, he still didn't see the point.

Lying for jeebus.
There's nothing about evolution in the gospels. If you felt evolution was an excuse, then you had no real concern for it, certainly no more than you do now. Evolution is an excuse for you, the excuse you use to hang your conversion to fundie evangelicalism on. That your testimony fits the entirely predictable notions (porn, gossip) and phrases ("I became convicted," "will cost me my soul at death") is typical of the dreary accounts used to affirm those who already believe in their faith and deter them from the lure of the world outside.
Confused?
