A conservatism not based on the foundations of the Bible is a Christ-less conservatism. Jesus is the standard by which all moral law is based. Remove Him and His Name from your political ideology and you find yourself in bed with the Log-Cabin conservatives.

A box without a ferret in it is a ferret-less box.
Jesus is the standard by which all moral law is based.
So the Jews had no moral laws? Not very familiar with the OT, are you? It's okay. The majority of fundamentalist christians aren't.

Now that sounds like an evening worth recording~.

Oh, gods, I hope not. I've been assuming that kek and pepe were fads, doomed to go the same place that Anonymous went. Not really "gone," per se, but not really a "movement" any more.
....except your ilk ignores most of what Jesus taught for how he lived.
The Nazarene, himself and the First Century Church had more in common with Woodstock and an Occupy protest than a Trump rally or a Tea Party protest.
You worship a bizarro Jesus.
Nazarene scriptures had a name and number for him....Hollywood named him "Damien Thorn".
"A conservatism..."
'A' conservatism? You mean there are multiple conservatisms?
You claim to love Jesus, yet you insist on fucking over the poor on a daily basis. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Jesus is sending your ass straight to hell (if it exists).

Actually it seems to be quite the opposite. They love the OT, and for the most part the Pauline Epistles, for those books help them rationalize and justify what vile, hateful assholes they are. They do cherry pick them of course. The Gospels on the other hand they will use to win over converts, because they tend to be extremely manipulative, and the message of the Gospels, while by no means perfect, does come across as being nice, and full of hope more or less. Once a person is sucked in by all that peace, love, kindness, and charity horse shit, they will be kept in line by being beaten over the head almost non-stop with the OT and Paul's most deranged and antisocial teachings. Classic bait and switch.
The Book of Revelation is hit or miss for them. It's got the Hellfire, and damnation vibe going for it, but it is a largely metaphorical text which is open to a very liberal amount of interpretation, which could backfire and give the flock the impression that they should actually try to think deeply about any of this shit, and reason it out for themselves.
conservatism. Jesus is the standard by which all moral law is based
Did your J-boy charge for the food he gave to those 5,000 people? Or those he healed?
Ever hear of the concept of Christian Socialism ? It'll blow your fucking mind, Dave.
Remove Him and His Name from your political ideology and you find yourself in bed with the Log-Cabin conservatives
You'd better start doing exactly that, Dave Derp. Why? Who was it who hung around with twelve men ; two of whom were sailors ? One of said twelve kissed him? Who hardly associated with women, if ever? Never had a girlfriend, nor did he marry one? Who told others to 'Love your fellow man ?' Who wore a dress ...?!
There are so many like you who refer to themselves as his Bride : Men.
One doesn't need to be Freud to figure out you fundies.
Jesus is the standard by which all moral law is based
Except for all the morals that pre-existed Jesus and the ones that exists today without a Jesus anywhere near them!
Unrelated: How do I get those nice quote boxes?
@Creedence Leonore Gielgud
They love the parts cherry picked for them. I've only seen a few fundamentalists actually go through and do the cherry picking personally (the worst of their frothing lot, to be sure). That's why they typically go blank-eyed or even outright accuse you of lying when you point out OT laws and beliefs that run contrary to what they've been told the OT says, like "life begins at conception". They didn't just cherry pick; they didn't know . Even with their favorite stories, they often know them largely through the interpretations of their preacher and various apologists. Not altogether surprising, of course, when you consider the contempt and even fear with which they hold critical thought and investigation. They could hardly hold blind faith in Yahweh in the reverence they do if they didn't apply it to his book, itself. Now of course they then choose to "forget" these things as soon as the conversation ends, so they definitely engage in plenty of reactive cherry picking.
"A conservatism not based on the foundations of the Bible is a Christ-less conservatism. "
Yup it sure is
"Jesus is the standard by which all moral law is based"
Only if you don't understand morality
"Remove Him and His Name from your political ideology and you find yourself in bed with the Log-Cabin conservatives."
OH DEAR!
A conservatism not based on the foundations of the Bible is a Christ-less conservatism.
This part is true
Jesus is the standard by which all moral law is based
Except to those of us who developed morals from other sources like empathy
Remove Him and His Name from your political ideology and you find yourself in bed with the Log-Cabin conservatives.
He has nothing to do with my political ideology and I have yet to be in bed with Log Cabin conservatives. Then again I do not want to be in bed with any kind of conservative, they are likely not very exciting in bed
Confused?
