Always have to leave the 2% to cover your ass.

What is your intel? Who is it from? Why do you trust it? Hell, who is 'we'?

What is your intel? Who is it from? Why do you trust it? Hell, who is 'we'?

Why, they got the info from the Bible of course. And since it's \"God's Word\" obviously it's trustworthy. Good thing God put all this info into a code and hid it inside the Bible so those nasty terrorists couldn't get their hands on it ...

Lucky for us they're on the case, eh? Why, just look at all the people they've notified about this threat:

Organisations and people warned about June 29th to July 4th so far...

All the 100 plus permanent missions to the UN (fax), including the Vatican permanent mission to the UN.
29 Congresspersons representing NY State (fax)
Senators Hillary Clinton and Charles Schumer (fax)
Mayor Bloomberg (fax)
FEMA (fax)
FBI (web tip submission)
New York City and State Fire Department (fax)
US National Fire Administration (fax)
Google News and other search engine news sites (www.prweb.com)
70,000 online reads and 2,500 media outlet pick ups of our latest press release through the PRweb newswire
Head Office of the Watchtower in Brooklyn Heights
Hundreds of churches and religious bodies in NYC (email and fax).
Interview on the Tommy and Rumble show on NWOR Virginia (everything that rocks!) www.fm99.com/Recap.asp
Interview on the Johnny and Kerry show on KQRC Kansas city.
Interview on the Lisa D and Dave Beagle Morning show on WJIM Lansing Michigan.
Massive Google Adword Campaign.

Don't we all feel so much more safe knowing there's people like this around?

This has gotta be satire.

At least they have the guts to set a date for their prophecy *coughrapturereadycough*

We are now 95% confident that the people making this claim will have completely forgotten it by July 11.
We are also 89% confident that they will make another stupid false prediction before the end of the summer.

7/2/2006 2:45:04 AM

Somebody has way too much time on their hands. It is hard to determine if it is an elaborate satire, just look at the size of the site and the complexity of the pseudo-analysis and the rediculous number of non-sequitors.
If it is a satire, who the hell has the time to put it together.
If it is not a satire, who the hell can be so friggin stupid!

Dante's Virgil

Looks like fundies who want to make predictions would've learned from the Jehovah's Witnesses about date setting. After all, \"false prophets\" will make predictions that won't come true. So sayeth the Holy Babble.

7/2/2006 3:06:37 AM

damn, still no nuclear attack...
when they fail does that make the bible code 98% wrong?

anyway, how do they come up with that percentage?

7/2/2006 3:12:02 AM

A nuclear bomb? A nuke wouldn't \"hit\" the UN plaza, it would level half of Manhattan.

7/2/2006 3:29:02 AM

I do predictions too. I predict that when the U.N. plaza doesn't go up in a mushroom cloud, these yahoos will tell us that it didn't happen because God decided to thward the terrorists, and spare all of those innocent people, and He should be praised.

No special powers. I've just seen this rationale before.

7/2/2006 3:45:52 AM

If he's taking bets, I'd like some of that 49 to 1 action.

7/2/2006 3:56:40 AM

@ Talismans second quoted post

Google has now gone biblical. We all knew it would happen. ;)

7/2/2006 4:37:02 AM

Just so you all know, I don't know why it's doing this. Everytime I refresh the page it sends another post. Gonna stop now. :-P

We all have our off days.;)

I've had that happen occasionally, Minion (my net connection is really flaky here, so I'll occasionally stop and resubmit, only to find that the first few did get through). You should be able to delete them.

These Bible Code freaks are hilarious. They put the \"anal\" (as in, source of information) in \"analysis\".

7/2/2006 5:15:19 AM

Then why not do something to stop it asshole? Instead of sitting back and letting it happen then clucking and tsk tsking to yourselves about it. Better yet, why don't you go to the plaza and stand there that evening.

7/2/2006 5:50:15 AM

Napoleon the Clown

Nothing to say to this other than, \"Whatever...\"

7/2/2006 6:33:43 AM

98% sure... Does this mean that they are sure that an atomic bomb will fall, that the UN Plaza will be under attack, or that terrorists will attack? Or does this mean that in those 2% nothing happens?

7/2/2006 8:09:25 AM

Obviously, this isn't actually going to happen. But, in the hypothetical situation that a nuke were to go off in that locale, wouldn't the more parsimonious (given a lack of any evidence as to whom the culprits were) be that the people responsible for the site were somehow affiliated with the people planting the bomb? I bet the FBI would think that was the simpler explanation, and investigate that possibility quite thoroughly.

7/2/2006 9:33:02 AM

YOU are the terrorists fucktards, die motherfuckers.

7/2/2006 9:57:10 AM

Any terrorists out there will be delighted to know their odds of success have gone up to 98%.

(oh wait, if 4 separate attacks occur, each with a 62.4% probability of success, there's only a 98% chance).

At least the fuckers haven't thought of bombing it themselves.

7/2/2006 10:18:20 AM

These guys were in my shop photocopying flyers to spread around the UN months ago, when the terrorist attack was supposed to occur in the beginning of June.

Mal Renyolds

I'm suprised no one brought this up before. On the page linked to for this \"prediction\", they admit they've gotten the date wrong three times.

7/2/2006 4:45:28 PM

Well, the administration, as well as fundies, all use fear-mongering and threats to dictate policies. Seeing as this is pretty much a definition of terrorism (which after all is a method, not a soverign state, and thus not something you can wage war on)...

That just means someone in the whitehouse is salivating over some codes he intends to use since it'll give a big 4th of july bang, backed by the corps, sociopaths, right-wingers and bush.

Good catch. I'll admit I didn't read the entire page so I didn't see that. That just makes it more hilarious.
