Now to some this will sound completely crazy, but it was so....AWESOME! I was looking at the clouds and praying while at a fireworks show saturday afternoon and as I looked at the clouds. I saw Jesus' face. It looked somewhat different than what we think he looks like today, but not really all that much. I immediately teared up. I was so happy, i'm almost crying just typing this. Although I've never personally heard from God (Or I don't think I have..maybe, not sure) I know this was real.

"I wish to propose a doctrine which may, I fear, appear wildly paradoxical and subversive. The doctrine in question is this: that it is undesirable to believe a proposition when there is no ground whatever for supposing it true."
(Russell)
Oh yeah, I forgot wishful thinking counts as "ground" for rational belief.
"Now to some this will sound completely crazy,"
Crazy? On RaptureReady? Never!

I'd explain to you about how the human brain seeks patters where there are none because, well, that's what it does is look for patterns but I doubt you'd get it. Wishful thinking would be the next topic but again I doubt you'd find it useful.

Oh, you mean he looked like a first century Jewish man rather than the scrawny, pasty white Jesus plastered all over the churches you visit?

You sound overly emotional to me. Maybe you should have someone prescribe something for that.

If you've never personally heard from God yet there's still hope for you! Seek it ...
Yesterday, I was looking at the clouds and getting drunk off my ass at a fireworks show and as I looked up at the clouds, I saw the Fonz. Except he didn't look like how we think he looks like. He looks more like Charles Bronson. And he said "Ayyyyyy" and I said "sup dude" and then I threw up. True story.
What kind of stupid fireworks show was it that was held in the afternoon?
How do you know it was Jesus? Assuming that the Jesus of the Bible even existed, nobody knows what he looked like.
How do you know it was real? A delusion IS a delusion because it is something unreal that the delusional person believes to be real .
<<< I saw Jesus' face. It looked somewhat different than what we think he looks like today, but not really all that much. >>>
Aside from the fact that we're wired to see patterns whether they exist or not, if he looked different then how'd you know it was him?
<<< Now to some this will sound completely crazy >>>
You don't say.
<<< Dude, next time you go to a fireworks display, lay off the mind altering substances. >>>
I dunno, if I were the sort to go in for those I can imagine that a fireworks show would be one hell of a place to use them ... so long as you're aware afterward that what you saw was likely a product of those drugs.
You know when I was a kid I was really into dinosaurs and while sitting on the playground one day I saw two different dinosaur looking clouds in a row float by. Now if it was one I wouldn't have been so excited, but two! "Wow," I thought to myself; "what a coincidence." I don't know if this is your first time looking at the clouds, but even then I knew that they made an infinite amount of different shapes and one that looks a Human face (to you) is not so surprising among the billions of different things Humans have seen in the clouds throughout time. So, if yours is god inspired, then they all have to be. Grow up and stop reaching for the insane.
Fireworks? In the afternoon?
Those fireworks would be kinda hard to see while the sun was still up, would they not?
And if it was dark enough to see the fireworks, would not the clouds be hard to see by the lack of light?
Everyone else has already covered the human brain seeing patterns and stuff. I think this is (delusional) bullshit.
Confused?
