Yup, the Christian Right is always very tolerant towards gay people wanting to marry, women who find themselves pregnant and not able to have the baby, people of other faiths and no faith, people of other political ideologies, poor people, unemployed people, people of different ethnic and racial groups, etc. They are always showering everyone with love and affection, inviting people to camp in their back yard if they have no home, getting them food and jobs if they are unemployed, forcing their church to marry gay people.
Or, ya know; not...
The Dark Ages alone says you don't have the best track record. Some 400 years of constant oppression of EVERYONE, basically, but the top-most cardinals (and not even the cardinals were safe all the time). And that was just the beginning... Colonizations, Inquisitions, the KKK, Slavery, Gott mit uns, the Red Scare, Islamophobia, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
Fundamentalist Christians and fundamentalists Muslims are fighting for the bottom place in the tolerance scale, stupid.
I don't belong to a group, not like that. I would never let a group decide what I am to do, what to think, how to feel. I'm Me group, and I think I have a fairly good track record of tolerance. Atheism is probably the closest one, as there is no dogma or ideology behind it, just one sentence, really: "I find no evidence for the existence of any gods, and will stick to reality until I find such evidence".
