[Arlington TX dress code says students no longer allowed to wear "grillz" or the earlobe-stretching practice known as "gauging."]
its about time someting like this was put into effect. why people choose to worship atheism and its rituals is beyond me to be honest

Wll, apart from the orgies, kitten skinning races and Baby BBQs, I don't attend too many atheist rituals.
What am I missing?

Yeah, I agree, AngryNotice must be just a troll. This comment shows a quantum leap in the evolution of the non sequitur.
For the record, though, while I don't care for these styles myself, I can't imagine why a school district is banning this stuff; it should be the parents' call.

Not a damn clue about grillz, but guaging is where you make a big ass hole in your ear. Up to and even beyond big enough to put your finger through. Typically, it is done by inserting bigger and bigger peices of jewelry (or anything roundish, for that matter) into a pericing. It is also done by making a slit with a scalpel.
Since atheism isn't a religion, there are no rituals. As has been said numerous times before, calling atheism a religion is like calling bald a hair color.
Oh, and Jeremy, grillz are decorative caps for your front teeth, kinda like braces but more elaborate. I think their a stupid waste of money but what do I know, I'm over forty.
Honest =/= non sequitur
Uh... What mean ye?
I wonder how AngryNotice feels about Xian ritual body modifications/mutilations, such as castration, voluntary (Origen, that Russian sect,...) or not (little boys being castrated so they'd sing better...), not to mention self-flagellation and similar masochistic practices to get closer to Dog.... :P
Can't you just have mashed kitten like the rest of us.
Only if I've skinned it first. It's like chicken: most of the fat and calories are in the skin.
I wasn't aware of the kitten skinning races , however. It sounds counterproductive: you'll skin them faster if they're already dead first so they don't squirm around, but that kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
