But have you looked at individuals and how those individuals are effected by the natural disasters? Just because you live in the 'bible belt', doesn't make you righteous!! Catastrophes happen amongst believers...but God makes sure they are okay...He weeds out unbelievers. [...]

WTF are you talking about, you frigging moron!?! A storm or natural catastrophe of ANY kind has no discernment of any kind toward whether its victims are Godnuts or not. Are you saying that all those thousands of people that died or had their homes destroyed by Katrina were unbelievers? Damn, what an idiot.
So, the Indian Ocean tsunami, hurricane Katrina, and the black plague killed no Xians? Injured no Xians? Made no Xians homeless?
What a shithead.
Tri-State Tornado. Bible Belt. Nearly three hundred deaths. Hah!
Tambora. 200,000 deaths due to famine in Europe alone. Almost exclusively Christian, I bet.
Beubonic Plague. 1/3 of Europe at a time when Christianity was extremely popular.
Try again.
OK here's what we'll do. we'll both hop in the same room and and a 3rd party can shoot you. (there should be no shortage of volunteers).
Your God should deflect the bullet to save you, and if he's any good, he'll take me out in the process.
Now of course we'll both have to sign waivers so our families can't sue.
Are you up for it? You have ultimate faith in your God, I have precisely none! Should be a laugh wouldn't you agree? You'll be famous either way! We'll televise it so the skeptics can't say God cheated.
The Worcester Tornado, 1953, 90 dead in 90 minutes. Oh, wait, Worcester County is mostly Catholic. You probably don't think Catholics are Christians, do you?
If this is the case, why are fundamentalists always whining about being oppressed? If your god can protect you from natural disasters, surely he/she/it can protect you from whatever harm hearing "happy holidays" might cause.
"He weeds out unbelievers."
That explains the French Quarter during Katrina.
Wait ... wanderphilos is a liar.

You mean, like the big Jesus Statue near Dayton, Ohio, which was destroyed by lightning on June 14, 2010? While the huge "Hollywood Hustler" advertisement at the local porn shop just across the street was completely spared? ;->
