Today we are gathered here to give our respect and final goodbyes to a much beloved ACME irony meter we have all come to know as "Rupert".

He lived life to the utmost, keeping for the most part in the fast lane, celebrating the ups and downs of his existence. But the end came, as it always must, and it came much too quickly. Long before his warranty expired he met his untimely demise at the hand of severe irony way off the scale. Poor Rupert didn't stand a chance, and the following implosion left little in the way of earthly remains. We can only hope that his demise will serve as a reminder to others finding themselves in similar position to just go out and get that milspec upgrade installed. Sadly, Rupert kept putting it off, trusting in his youthful strength and vitality. Sadly, this was no match for the levels of irony presented by InChristGE. So we now raise our glasses in salute to Rupert; you will be sorely missed.

Christian fundies 'believe' that a 'God' exists, to the exception of everything else (as in getting a life), and force that concept on everyone else. We Atheists know that a 'God' doesn't exist, and we let said fundies know via FSTDT. Alongside going to work, the pub, cinema, gym, nightclub, gaming, seeing friends, having sex with our partners, etc, etc...

Having a life =/= fundie.

If the Religious Right could do less of pushing the religious bullshit (or better still, just keep it to themselves; the Amish. Quakers. Unitarian Universalists. Y'get the picture), realise that religion isn't the be-all and end-all of life, and 'get a life' themselves, then FSTDT wouldn't exist. And we'd get on with the rest of our lives.

In a better, fundie-free world.
