Is this a true or a false statement: Evolution is False? If you could prove Evolution to be ture, then the statement would be false. But science can not prove evolution or anything else to be true. So, if your choice is true or false, then the statement "Evolution is False" would become a true statement.
[Someone comments about how idiotic that statement is above]
Of course what you call "formal logic" we call deception. So don't be so convinced that your "logic" reflects the truth.

This is totally back asswards. You can't prove a NEGATIVE. Strictly speaking, you can't conclusively prove a positive either, but you can collect tons of evidence and be pretty damn sure. You assume negative until positive evidence arises. If all your tests don't provide any positive evidence, you continue to assume negative. But hey, that never bothered Bush when it came to WMDs, so obviously it's not important.
It'd be hilarious if it was true, but this guy seems to have a dim inkling of the above, and thinks that if you force a negative term into a statement, it automatically makes the statement unprovable or something. That's not QUITE the same thing!
Well, JohnR7, if you lived in my country, you wouldn't pass high school without 35h of logic classes.
Alas, I doubt you'd finish a high school at all.
Is this a true or a false statement: God is False? If you could prove God to be ture, then the statement would be false. But science can not prove God or anything else to be true. So, if your choice is true or false, then the statement "God is False" would become a true statement.
OMG I m teh good with the words 2!
"Is this a true or a false statement: Religion if false? If you could prove Religion to be true then the statement would be false. But, the church can't prove religion or anything else to be true. So, if your choice is true of false, then the statement; "Religion is false," would be a true statement."
It works both ways dipshit, but I can guess your response already: "The church proves religion to be true because the Bible says it's the word of god and it's absolutely impossible that someone would've lied about that." Logic is a funny little concept that is always out of your reach, isn't it?
Certainty is comforting, isn't it, John. Certainty is one of the chief allures of religion. The problem is that placing absolute trust in the twaddle of ancient fishermen and goat herders is patently stupid.
Redefining "logic" only makes your assertions more ridiculous.
Of course what you call "formal logic" we call deception. So don't be so convinced that your "logic" reflects the truth." So, what you're saying is, our logic brings forth the truth? Finally, John! That's what we've been trying to tell you!
"Is this a true or a false statement: Evolution is False?"
Neither. It is a question, not a statement. Stupidity, check.
Redefining the meaning of words, check.
Ow, ow, ow! Brain cramp. I'll be okay, I just need to walk it off.
Star Trek Episode 2 Bazillion -
Kirk: Spock, we MUST... deactivate this... computer! It is ruining the lives of MILLIONS... of citizens.
Spock: Fascinating. This computer exhibits perfectly flawless logic processing capabilities. Its algorithms are beyond even the limits of Vulcan logic. It would appear to be impervious to harm.
Kirk: But... what about... that virus, that we picked up on Omicron-Zeta Five?
Spock: Intriguing. Yes, the JohnR7 logic decapacitor...
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
