Of course, Matt 5:22 says that anyone calling others fools is in danger of being sent to hell.
If we use your interpretation, in I Cor 3:18 Paul says that smart people should become retards so that they will believe Xian theology.

It seems unlikely persons who could reason well enough to not believe Xian theology would follow a retarded person.
