I have found a life formula that links the soul of life to the characteristics of light. Light is electromagnetic radiation, 1 force, made up of 2 parts.
The characteristics of its electrical part are negative and positive, and those of its magnetic part are attraction and repulsion. Life experiences them as: No, Yes, I like you (love) and I don't like you (hate) and together they make up the mental/emotional nature of life, and math to boot because:
Negative - No - Subtraction
Positive - Yes - Addition
Attraction - Love - Multiplication
Repulsion - Hate - Division
Not only that, but the characteristics of the two parts of light also relate to male and female. The energitic, violent nature of males is electrical, and the emotional, loving nature of females is magnetic.
This gives us the two life forces some call Adam and Eve, while others call Ying and Yang, among other names.
From this easy view of light we have the soul, math, Adam and Eve, and a life formula that is universal.

What's with the sudden influx of people who think they can find God's hidden meanings in random things? First JohnR7 decides DNA is God's alphabet soup, then Tails uses a Biblical story and symbolic logic to prove God exists, and now someone decides addition, subtraction, multiplication and division prove Adam and Eve.
Fundies, keep away from our logic!
1.)Negative and positive are just names scientists use to refer to opposite electrical forces, it is not to be taken literally. Protons are not eternal optimists, and electrons are not weirdos who sit in the corner cutting themselves.
2.) Atoms are made up of THREE parts. People always forget about the neutrons.
3.)Your description of gender characteristics is horribly sexist.
No WTF award yet, but this looks like it could be a strong contender.
Not to mention that addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are all the same operation. Maybe he needs basic math in addition to remedial physics.
Here's my theory; Fundies keep their brains hidden away from god and society so they can soak in religious bullshit. Once in a while, one of them watches an educational show on TV and they think they have received great knowledge. THey dust off that old brain, plop it in and find that if you don't use it, you most certainly do lose it. Their twitching, smoking brain has to warm up and sort through all of the education received in school and finds that only random bits remain. They mash the bible, leftover knowledge and the contents of a non-700 club show into a mushy dough-like ball and write down the result of this faulty union. The result is utterly nonsensical, yet satisfying to the fundie, and entertainment to the rest of us. Ironically, these bible-thumping half-wits become the subject of further educational cable shows, thereby completing the circle of (not having a) life.
Scott, applying symbolic logic to the bible is a good idea, they just did it wrong. What they should have done is to apply it so that when two contradictory pieces of information are found, both are eliminated. Whatever (probably much slimmer) pages are left can then be reevaluated.
How much time do you think he wasted coming up with this?
None. You need to have something productive to do for spent time to be wasted.
I swear, every time I'm tempted to do drugs, I can just come to fstdt and check out the latest 'scientific' nonsense. It's like my own private LSD trip, and it's legal!
When the missionary leapt on the table, his thoughts flew with the wings of a bee to the left compartment of the pajamas. The paper bag's long flight to Denver was the repository for all things evil, thus eliminating the need for an adaptor in the swimming pool. Just as militant forces congregate for the Grammies, the winds blow fierce as November enters the arena. Certainly, a just mark would never miss, but the light bulbs burned out yesterday, making the passage to the sports lockers dark with anxiety. Tomorrow, bananas will be dancing with the rest of them.
If you don't get the lightprize impersonation above, don't worry; you're not supposed to. It makes about as much sense as the real lightprize, though, so it's sort of a joke, albiet a stupid one. Even if you don't like it, you can still appreciate it; that was hand-crafted nonsense, not computer-generated.
Of course, it's pretty obvious why I didn't use my normal posting name...

Neutrons, however, ARE quite apathetic.

Ten out of ten for creativity, but minus several million for good thinking, yeah?
For starters, electricity and magnetism both create attractive or repulsive forces. In fact, magnetism (as far as we are able to tell thus far) is simply a force created by the movement of electrical charge (whereas electrical forces depend only on the location and strength of said charges).

That is one of the most amusing things I've read recently.
I am currently at the Fusion Central Forums and Gsainc Discussions debating that very formula. I only see one of you here that actually had something to say at any of the forums I was at. Please drop by. Or do you brave souls feel more comfortable giving your opinion someplace where I cannot respond to you? Talking behind my back, anybody here care to come out in the open and debate?
lightprize, if I were to visit every forum where someone said something blatantly wrong and point it out to them, I wouldn't have time to do anything else (and I'd have about thirty zillion accounts I'd have to remember).

Said lightprize, responding to us.

I am so tired of this simplistic gender division.
@Scott
Fundies, keep away from our logic!
Oh, but they DO, Scottie... they DO.
what does this have to do with yin and yang? i have no idea but Taoism is not a mathematical equation.
Misogynists and phallocrats both fundie and secular grab onto their version of it because they think it validates their gender essentialism. Of course, if they looked a bit deeper they'd shit bricks at the implications of their earlier statements...
... Magnetic fields are not defined that way
Magnetism is about directional fields and loops.
What about electrostatic forces?
There's quite a lot of nuances between "I don't like you" and "hate", stupid.
Most men I know have emotional loving nature, and most women I know are energetic. Very few, of either gender, have a violent nature. Besides, how can you get violent without emotions?
I don't know that much about Math, but isn't a formula more than just a list of elements? Don't you need some kind of algebra or equation to have a formula?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
