Quote# 13179

[In apparent reply to a question as to whether Jesus could have been black.]

Um, Jesus wasn't a jew.

[Understandable confusion follows]

Jesus was a Christian.

I thought Jesus was the Christian. Er Christ. whatever

Star Cluster

No point in explaining it. He wouldn't understand.

So Jesus followed himself? Dude, that sounds like the plot for an episode of the Twilight Zone.

7/21/2006 2:14:43 AM

Because all blacks are Jews, and Jesus obivously, being God, had to worship himself, which would not be the sin of pride, which definately made him not sinless.

Please, don't give yourselves more problems ^_~

Um, Jesus wasn't a jew.
Really? Weren't his parents Jewish? And isn't Jesus a Hebrew name?

7/21/2006 2:34:38 AM

Christian = follower of Christ's teachings

Christ taught the teachings, he didn't follow them. Doofus.

That's one bizarre website. I especially like Willow's Iraq Mushroom Cloud picture in his signature.

Napoleon the Clown

I think this guy is unaware the Jew is a race in addition to being a religion... Still.

7/21/2006 3:34:27 AM

Waaaait, so Jesus believed he was going to die so he could forgive himself and receive eternal life? Got it!

Does this mean God is a Jew?

7/21/2006 3:41:13 AM

Shit, you think thats bad? I have seen some of these fundy idiots claim that figures from the Old Testament were \"good strong christians\".

7/21/2006 3:45:34 AM

I second the notion of this being a good Twilight Zone episode. Though it'd need tiny wagon gremlins on the... wheel spokes or something.

Early Christians thought of themselves as Jews, they were just Jews who thought the Messiah had come.

7/21/2006 4:48:06 AM

So black people can't be christian, or do they jsut turn white?

7/21/2006 4:53:36 AM

Napoleon the Clown said: \"I think this guy is unaware the Jew is a race in addition to being a religion\"

I have to agree. I mean, otherwise it's a bizarro world version of the bible's bizarro world.

Jesus must be the head christian, you know, like the head vampire? Only the rest of the christians didn't die when he was killed so maybe not.

Also, what the hell is 'ass piston forum'? Wait.........Nevermind.

\"Ass Piston Forum\" award. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'll second the \"Ass Piston Forum\" award; we need an award for fundie posts found in weird places and you're not gonna get a better title than that.

lololololol This just really goes to show you how incredibly dense so many Christians really are about what they believe.

7/21/2006 3:11:25 PM

Oolon Coluphid

He practiced self worship? Does that mean that Christ was a narcissist?

Wasn't Jesus Christ the Greek name he was given by the early Christians?
He was circumcised by a rabbi, wasn't he? It's in the Bible.
I've heard his name quoted as Yeshua Ben Yosef. Sounds Jewish to me.

7/21/2006 6:13:13 PM

um, I'm not a biblical woman myself, but I seem to have picked up the notion that the whole POINT of Jesus is that he wasn't Black, White, Jewish, Christian or anything else. Wasn't he supposed to be God?

7/21/2006 9:30:26 PM

\"I know. I'll name a religion after myself! God will love that.\"

David D.G.

I think I was probably in my early teens before I caught on that Jesus wasn't a Christian himself, but was Jewish. It wasn't so much that I was an idiot as that I just had not really given it any thought, since the matter simply had not come up; as soon as I did, though, I was surprised that the truth of the situation hadn't occurred to me before.

This person, however, IS being quite obtuse for resisting the idea when it is pointed out to him.

Is Christian a race?, was he originally from a religion which not only did not exist but also was founded by him from the teaching of the Torah and Talmud?
