Our problem isn't letting people believe what they want to believe. We have no problem with that. It's the pathetic attempts to force religion into the realm of science and government that bother us. That and the things people say and do in the name of religion.

The fact that "others think differently" from me makes no difference to me. Majorities have been wrong in the past. After all, I don't eat shit even though 300 billion flies do.

I can say that and I do say that. As the one making an extraordinary assertion, it is up to you to provide extraordinary evidence to support that assertion. Why is it you Fundies have such trouble with that idea?

We do. We don't have a problem with you believing in Christianity. We do have a problem with you telling us we have to believe what you believe, live the way you live, and do what you want. You can believe that God exists, but you can't tell us we have to, and you can't put Christian stuff on public property. You're allowed to believe that homosexuality is a sin, but you have to let gays marry anyway. You're allowed to believe that God created the universe, but you have to accept (to some extent) that this is complete twiddletwaddle, and does not belong in science class. You're allowed to believe that churches are holy, but they still have to pay taxes.

Nobody can prove that a fantasy is false; but it is theoretically possible to prove that any physical reality is true. So the burden of proof is on the one making the claims of biblical physical reality -- all the more so, requiring extraordinary proof, because of them being extraordinary claims that contradict observable workings of nature.
