Why are CHRISTIANS not working to take back the SABBATH DAY in this COUNTRY!? GOD DOES NOT APPROVE!!!!!!!?

Yesterday, the PASTOR had a sermon about how this country needs to TAKE BACK SUNDAY for the GOD! I agree with him!

For TOO LONG this country has not recognized the SABBATH DAY as a HOLY DAY of REST where we HONOR GOD and spend time with our FAMILIES!

As CHRISTIANS, we need to FIGHT against these HEATHEN BUSINESSES that remain open on SUNDAY! We need to BOYCOTT WALMART, TARGET, GROCERY STORES, GAS STATIONS (Except for MARATHON!!! THEY ARE A GOOD CHRISTIAN GAS STATION!).

Why aren't we FIGHTING to TAKE BACK THE SABBATH!?

Soooooooo.......... it's OK for \"Good Christian Gas Stations\" to open on the Sabbath, then?

\"Why are CHRISTIANS not working to take back the SABBATH DAY in this COUNTRY!?\"

Because they're all too busy denying gay people their basic human rights.

Why do I see this kind of thing ending badly?

WHY do people DO THIS to CAPITAL LETTERS? Do they THINK it MAKES them look SMARTER? If so, WHAT DRUGS are they ON?

Wow - God disapproves in mysterious ways then lady!

We need to BOYCOTT WALMART...

Out of context, I agree. I already boycott Walmart, and I do so every day, not only Saturday. (Of course, that doesn't mean much, since I don't live near any Walmarts. *grin*)

Sabbath starts friday evening after sun set and ends at saturday evening at sunset. there is no Sabbath on sunday.

And I don't know about America, but we've got laws against working 7 days a week. So you'll get your day of which you can spend praying all you want.

So, good christians get to break god's laws... Hmmm?

The month's just begun, but I'd keep this quote in mind, should a double standard award of some sort come up for grabs later.

So, wait. It's okay for Marathon to stay open on Sundays but no one else? Shouldn't those 'good' christians be a church praising JEEEESUS?

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? It's ok FOR all the GOOD CHRISTIAN GAS stations to REMAIN open on A holy DAY!? but ANYONE else who TRIES to do BUSINESS because THEY aren't religious IS evil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

You know, even before I scrolled down to see the name, I knew this was mrs. Paige. Her style is so distinctive.

And I don't know why Marathon gets a free pass on Sunday. Perhaps their employees stand outside shouting Bible verses at all the customers pumping gas.

Christians don't have to \"Take Back\" the Sabbath day, they can have their day anyway they want, just as long as they don't expect the rest of the country to follow their mythology. When will they accept that the rest of the country (or world) doesn't revolve around their religion?

Wouldn't a 'Good Christian Gas Station' *not* be open on the Sabbath?

I always hear you crazies complaining about businesses being open on Sunday. But do you know who shops these businesses on Sunday, Ms. Paige? You and your fellow fundies right after you get done kissing your fictional sky god's ass.

8/1/2006 1:08:00 PM

Star Cluster

Just another example of a lunatic fundie spouting off about something they have no clue about. As NotMe said, Sunday is not the Sabbath. Never has been, never will be. And boycott away there, mrs. Paige; those things never work out. Businesses in the US for the most part used to be closed on Sundays (remember Blue Laws)? But the public raised such a fuss that eventually, businesses began opening because of demand.

But if you don't want to shop on Sunday, have at it. Just because a place is open doesn't mean you have to go. Look at me, for example. Just because the Church doors are open on Sunday, I choose not to enter. They're not selling anything I'm interested in.

Because our country was not founded on Christian ideals. Deal with it. We weren't meant to be a theocracy.

Desperate turds writing desperate blurbs so Julian can spout words that slur.
So witty and pretty
so really silly
these little members
of this site.
To think one signs
on some line
to get a dose
of esteem
always writing the same damn thing.
Then comes the thought police
to clean up and seize
what does not agree
with Stalin and me.
And Julian refrains
I have got shit stains
for brains
from all those pics
I post
to boast my host
and raise a toast
to the Glenn and glee.
Then Cousin Ted
and his fearful toons
seem like a dream
that insults that dolt
who started this joke.
And Julian
came out
and exposed his snout
to assure his being a lout.
Day in and day out
till one must conclude
these are some fucked up dudes.

Here's and idea. If you don't like shopping on Sundays then don't go. Nobody is forcing her to go to Wal-Mart on Sundays are they?

Or, she could just move to Nova Scotia -no Sunday shopping there. Oh, but wait...gas stations would still be open, and besides Nova Scotia is located in that Godless left wing snow dump Canada.

If everything were closed on Sunday, where would all the Sunday School classes go for lunch afterward? Check out the restaurants at lunchtime on Sundays; they're packed even tighter than they are on Friday and Saturday evenings -- largely with \"good Christians\" straight from church!

Oh, and Sunday isn't the Sabbath; that would be Saturday. The change was an innovation by Emperor Constantine, according to my (admittedly minimal) research.
