How could anyone support a candidate to lead an entire nation when he obviously cannot even get his own personal affairs in order? Atheists are unfit to rule and to give them any power would be dangerous to society.

See, I can make as much sense as Fidei:
Atheists are more fit for high government offices (not "rule" as this is not a monarchy) as they do not believe in fairy tales.
Atheist nations are the only ones that can absolutely guarantee equal rights (not that they always do, merely that they are the only ones that can). Theocracies invariably involve their religious bullshit in their laws, which rapidly undermines, at the very least, freedom of religion.
And that's exactly why Japan, a nation where about 10% of the population is religious (these mostly being the families who keep the temples), has the lowest crime rate, lowest infant mortality rate, and longest lifespans in the world. Yeah, a pretty sucky place to live by all accounts.
Japan is doing well because it is a xenophobic and nationalistic society which does not have a government controlled by foreign interests.
Well, in that case see GB, who is blaming the nation for his past as alcoholic. And by the way, is China doomed to fail?
