I doubt very much that those victims of communism were targeted for their christian beliefs.

The victims of the SI, however were definetly targeted for lack thereof.

What evidence is there that Atheism is correct or the truth?
Now that's a long discussion with arguments on both sides since the dawn of humankind.
I live in a free country where I don't have to be forced by law to believe in Bugs Bunny.
Even though there are pictures of him and he's
mentioned and shown in plenty of books.
I have the right to NOT believe in him if I don't want to.
