Because that's kind of ridiculous.

The same reason it is hard to "belive" that Santa Claus delivers presents all over the world in one night.

It is quite easy for me not to believe that. Insufficient evidence. Case closed.

Why are you making it hard for yourself to believe that Jesus did not die on a cross and rose again from the dead three days later?

Prove it happened. This isn't a thousand years ago when not even royalty could read.

Um, maybe because it flies in the face of logic, common sense, and medical science?

The second part is the real kicker, y'know.

Why bother?

I am not making it hard for myself. Physical impossibilities have a tendency to be quite unbelievable.
Having a lack of belief in supernatural isn't "making it hard to believe", it's scepticism.

Why are you making it hard for yourself to believe that Athena was born fully armed out of the forehead of her father Zeus, after he had eaten her mother Metis?

Why are you making it hard for yourself to believe that life evolved over millions of years?

Because death isn't merely the body "stopping" but a series of reactions occurring that, to reverse, would be akin to uncooking an egg. Say miracle all you want, it doesn't make it any easier to believe.

Because he's the last person to do that, but was preceeded by about 14 others?

When 14 mythical figures have pulled the same miracle (being nailed to something, tortured, dying then coming back three years later) the miracles gettin' old. The history of Jesus is from older histories, from other faits and cultures.

Christianity is a gathering, tranlating, editing, revising (and doing all of those badly) and rewritting of other religions, cultures and myths.

We Atheists aren't the ones fapping to "Passion of the Christ".

But then, even 'torture porn' films such as the "Saw" & "Hostel" series aren't even remotely sexually arousing, thus they don't* get us hard. [/Finbarr Saunders]

*- And if such films do...

... you perv. X3
